OlderReese & Jake: Kissing in Public!
Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted holding hands and kissing on Monday at LAX airport, according to Us Weekly.
And there are reportedly photos to prove it!
“Dressed in matching black T-shirts and jeans, Reese and Jake strolled hand-in-hand and smooched at Los Angeles International Airport October 22,” reports Us. “On October 19, Witherspoon, 31, was spotted resting her head on Gyllenhaal’s shoulder while walking through the streets as they enjoyed some downtime.”
The couple has been at the Rome Film Festival promoting their latest film Rendition.
Does this make Gyllenspoon officially a couple now?!

We all know that he and boyfriend Austin Nichols are the answer to Ted C’s Toothy Tile Blind Item…Ted practically outed them last week. I mean, I had my suspicions anyway, but seeing the pics posted on this very site of Jake and Austin’s body language at that bball game convinced me. Plus this Reese relationship is the fakest publicity stunt I’ve ever seen. All these “sightings” but no pics, no official word from them…complete made up, PR bull….

If they are together, and they were keeping it a secret, it might be because Reese’s divorce was just finalized recently. Some people, especially outside of Hollywood, think that it looks inappropriate for new relationships to start before divorces are final.
That said, I still don’t really like them together either, and the secrecy of it all is strange now, because even the divorce couldn’t be used as an excuse. Hopefully we’ll find out about them soon enough.

People the movie is out, once a movie does poorly the first week there is not turning back. Going public now will not help the movie. Perhaps they wanted to talk about the movie and not there relationship during the promotion period. Now that’s over and they don’t have to do press, so they don’t care who sees them. Also she just became legally divorced.

It’s not for PR, the movie is dead in the water, once a movie opens bad there is nothing you can do to change that. The are going public because the press is over because they don’t have to go out and promote their movie and be hounded by the press about it.

Today is her son’s birthday, where is his dad, in London (popsugar) filming a movie. Where will Ryan P be for the next 6 months, away filming movies in London. That’s how it has been for him for the past 3yrs, he is home in the summer and gone the rest of the year, places far away filming movies. Even then the jerk wanted to share physical custody of the kids with her, when he isn’t in LA six months of the year.
Divorce is a nasty business, especially when you ex is a nasty guy. Perhaps she couldn’t go public, perhaps getting the custody issue in order was more important.
Maybe Reese is keeping this relationship on the down low because of her very young children. I mean I would respect that because the last thing a single mother would want to do is to keep introducing random men to her children. She may be waiting to see if this relationship is serious. No need to start answering the “mommy is this our new daddy” questions if he is just a friendly close confidant she sees when her kids are with there dad.

Aniston & Vaughn did there faking months prior to the movies release. The were photographed kissing in Chicago right after the movie wrapped, they were photographed in Vegas together, on Vacation together, out to eat with her friends in alleys outside restuarants. Once the movie promotion was over they stopped doing the showmance.
Jake & Reese did not do that, they is the first photo of affection and it’s coming after they press is done and the movie has been released. I doubt it can help the movie, once something opens poorly it doesn’t rebound.
They are going public because her divorce is final, because the movie promotion is over, because her ex will be in london filming two movies for months and cannot put her truth hell everyday. Under the rug you will eventually learn that she has settled with Phillippe about money & custody, she’ll let him good in the press but she will have won the custody battle, as it seems she already has custody.

And do you think it will be any different with Jake? NO! Jake is 26, never been married, no children and a much better actor than Ryan. He will have film offers that will be shooting all over the world. More offers than he can even take. He will not be in Hollywood changing diapers and picking the kids up from school. Jackie, are you going to boycott Brad and Angelina’s movies or any of the other celeb couples that said they were single before they became a public couple? You should boycott a ton of movies then because a LOT of actors has said they are single until they made their relationships public. Ryan will be gone a total of four months not six and he will make occational quick visits. I am not going to go over the schedule of the past three years again but there has never been a year when he was away from his children for the amount of time he is accused of by the person who posts slander on this and about ten other boards.
When he is done filming Reese will be very busy fiming Four Christmases. He has every right to share joint custody of his children. He is an involved and committed parent.

Since no one knows the actual date of their separation there is not a “ton” of evidence that Ryan cheated on Reese. Actually there is no evidence at all.
People sent information to Lainey and she printed it and stands by her sources. That information was picked up by many other publications that subsequently tried to find out more information and expand on the story. They didn’t because they couldn’t. The stories turned out to be dead ends. If there were many Canadian waitresses we would have heard alot more about that story. Lainey keeps banging on this story just like Ted bangs on Toothy. Bloggers need to be out in front with some information that is both controversial and unique. Take it for what it’s worth i.e. nothing.
As far as the stories about Abbie, you don’t know the date of the separation and you have conflicting eye witness accounts of a meal they ate together. One named source in US Weekly said they were making out but the waitresses and owner of the establishment said nothing like that happened.

I saw it in the Sun (London paper) this morning on the train someone had it. Yes it’s true, sad but true. I for some reason thought he was this cool guy who listened to indie bands and saw art films but now he’s just an average American guy that likes to watch TV and excerise (nothing wrong with that he has a hot body) and hang out at home. So they might be perfect for each other in her gated cul de sac. I just don’t think they suit each other AT all. Not looks wise personality wise. She is a divorcee with 2 kids barely divorced no less. Time will tell. He is still quite young. I would love to know who initiated this relationship, I would imagine not him.

I realize that Hal but come on, people are so hateful and unfair with their comments. We may like to see pictures of these people but I wouldn’t believe everything that is reported. By all accounts Reese and Ryan are both good parents, I’ve seen lots of pics of both of them with their children. They seem like loving and caring parents. So what if they couldn’t make their marriage work? Maybe they both cheated, maybe neither of them cheated, it doesn’t really matter and we’ll never know. I don’t think they have an obligation to let us all know who they’re dating and whether it’s serious or not either though. They may be wonderful parents (she not he, since he hasn’t sired anything I know about) and great people. But they are in the exposure business, exposing themselves constantly to their “fans” for profit. So they really can’t claim to have private lives; they have made themselves public property. They can try to keep the public out, but they have no grounds to ***** if it pries its way in. He said a very short time ago on Letterman that he was “available to women”; now suddenly he implies he is not. Does he expect us to swallow all that? My take is that they are shell shocked by what a big flop their movie is and are desperate to drum up more interest. Movies that take a long time to emerge are, in my experience, movies with problems. Zodiac was another one. Jakey and Reesy should be able to produce a blockbuster just on the basis of their names. Not this time. Big shockeroo.
Jake & Reese are not entitled to any privacy whatsoever. As actors in the entertainment industry they gave that right up a long time ago. They are now public property to all of us who watch/buy their movies and buy the tabloid mags. Danny Bonoduce even said they same thing. oz: I think the Jake/Austin thing was just to help Austin in his career. Being seen as a friend of Jake (more important actor) would help Austin get gigs. But since Austin’s TV series bombed and was canceled, Jake may have decided that Austin is a lost cause and there is no point in making a public display of being his friend. Anyway Jake is busy busy busy trying to rescue his new flop of a movie. His career needs a success for a change; how many more flops can he take and still get hired?
