OlderReese & Jake: Kissing in Public!
Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted holding hands and kissing on Monday at LAX airport, according to Us Weekly.
And there are reportedly photos to prove it!
“Dressed in matching black T-shirts and jeans, Reese and Jake strolled hand-in-hand and smooched at Los Angeles International Airport October 22,” reports Us. “On October 19, Witherspoon, 31, was spotted resting her head on Gyllenhaal’s shoulder while walking through the streets as they enjoyed some downtime.”
The couple has been at the Rome Film Festival promoting their latest film Rendition.
Does this make Gyllenspoon officially a couple now?!

I realize that Hal but come on, people are so hateful and unfair with their comments. We may like to see pictures of these people but I wouldn’t believe everything that is reported. By all accounts Reese and Ryan are both good parents, I’ve seen lots of pics of both of them with their children. They seem like loving and caring parents. So what if they couldn’t make their marriage work? Maybe they both cheated, maybe neither of them cheated, it doesn’t really matter and we’ll never know. I don’t think they have an obligation to let us all know who they’re dating and whether it’s serious or not either though. No one wants to look like a fool and look at what happens to these people who gush all over the media about their boyfriend or girlfriend and then it falls apart. I wouldn’t set myself up like that either.
I spotted some piccies in the Sun paper today and they claim they were NOT taken from the movie.
They may be wonderful parents (she not he, since he hasn’t sired anything I know about) and great people. But they are in the exposure business, exposing themselves constantly to their “fans” for profit. So they really can’t claim to have private lives; they have made themselves public property. They can try to keep the public out, but they have no grounds to ***** if it pries its way in. He said a very short time ago on Letterman that he was “available to women”; now suddenly he implies he is not. Does he expect us to swallow all that? My take is that they are shell shocked by what a big flop their movie is and are desperate to drum up more interest. Movies that take a long time to emerge are, in my experience, movies with problems. Zodiac was another one. Jakey and Reesy should be able to produce a blockbuster just on the basis of their names. Not this time. Big shockeroo.
Jake & Reese are not entitled to any privacy whatsoever. As actors in the entertainment industry they gave that right up a long time ago. They are now public property to all of us who watch/buy their movies and buy the tabloid mags. Danny Bonoduce even said they same thing. They have sold themselves to us and we the public have a right to know and to know the truth - not lies! A big disappointment in Jake & Reese. I’ll bet that their near future endeavors will not do very well either. You do the math.
A likely excuse for Reese to keep her relationship with Jake on the down low all of these months for the sake of her kids??? Give me a break. She took up with Jake the minute she left Ryan. This has been going on for almost a year now. And this is good for her kids???? She portrays to be someone she truly is not and we all know it!!! Give it up Reese.
I would like to know though why Jake all of sudden has stopped hanging around with Austin Nichols??? They were the best of buds for ages and were photographed everywhere early this year and last, at basketball games, coffee runs, training, bike-riding, shopping for books etc. but since about May this year nada, nothing. Did they have a falling out? Maybe over Reese??? Was Austin’s DUI related in some way?? Maybe drowning his sorrows? Whoa! Way too many questions there. I’ve hurt my brain. And oh I still haven’t brought the tuna. I may buy a chocolate in the shape of a tuna!
Please people. This “relationship” has been made very public in Rome where they are trying to drum up interest in their flopperoo of a movie. Before the movie bombed they were “just friends”. Now after it bombed they are “lovers”. Don’t you people know that relationships, public ones at least, in Hollywood are all motivated by money considerations? Wise up.
oz: I think the Jake/Austin thing was just to help Austin in his career. Being seen as a friend of Jake (more important actor) would help Austin get gigs. But since Austin’s TV series bombed and was canceled, Jake may have decided that Austin is a lost cause and there is no point in making a public display of being his friend. Anyway Jake is busy busy busy trying to rescue his new flop of a movie. His career needs a success for a change; how many more flops can he take and still get hired?
