Prison Break: Cherry Hill
Fox has ordered a script for a Prison Break spin-off called Prison Break: Cherry Hill, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Cherry Hill????????
PB exec producers Matt Olmstead and Zac Estrin are already penning the script for the potential new series.
Cherry Hill would be set at a women’s prison and center on Molly, a new regular character that will be introduced on PB later this season.
After suffering a family tragedy at the hands of the Company — the government conspiracy that framed Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and put them behind bars — she seeks them out at the hellish Panamanian prison Sona in her quest to exact vengeance.
“There is an ironic similarity between Molly and Michael — they’re both emotionally banged-up, both have lost loved ones, and both want the people responsible to pay — so they empathize with each other,” Olmstead said.
WOULD YOU WATCH a “Prison Break” spin-off series?

No, I wouldn’t watch. I stopped watching PB after they fired SWC
If true, this is a big mistake. No, I would never watch it-women in prison has a really B-MOVIE feel and without Went-what’s the point.
I’m a dedicated fan of Prison Break and i love the third season, it’s getting better. Don’t like the Molly stuff (MiSa for ever!) and not interested in this spin-off.Don’t understand Fox’s decisions.
oh boy. what a dumb idea. grr. I will not watch it…
NO. The producers of PB were all decapitated after the first season. A Foster Farms Chicken could do better than them.
Oh, and the writers are all chicken livers.
I don’t think that the plot would be interesting. I love prison break the way it is. well…… I would watch him if wentworth were there. I LOVE WENT!!
OMG THEY named a show after my hometown
CHERRY HILL, NEW JERSEY Representing !!! aka THE HILL
NO, seriously. S3 really isn’t that good right now, and the spinoff doesn’t sound that appealing to me…I just want Sarah Wayne Callies back!
S3 is sucking badly, god.. and spin off is not a good thing.
The show was limping along, then they decided to kill off Sara to really destroy the show. According to the writers there was no alternative to push Michael into seeking revenge against The Company. So after 2 years of following the romance between Sara and Michael and them not even consumating their relationship we get Sara’s severed head in a box. The new characters are boring and now they are thinking of a spin-off series involving a character that hasn’t even been cast yet. It makes me wonder what the members of the ‘old boys’club’ are smoking at Fox. What a load of c r a p.
ummmm….no
First and foremost, congratulations to Fox network, the producers and the writers in creating an almost drug like story addiction TV series that work directly on the consciousness. The show created characters that have flaws like any ordinary people that possess unique quirks that define the actors and actresses. These men and women really gave justice to their respective roles.
I am living in the Philippines and have been an avid viewer of your show during the 1st Season up to the mid of Season 2 because it had the ingredients of a good & salable story. I still watch the series but no longer with eagerness the way I used to. I may not be a writer but as a viewer/audience, I can read the writings on the wall that after a couple of episodes that were shown for Season 3, the plot has lost the rhythm, impact, depth and context that pumps up the volume of adrenalin of Season 1 & 2! I may also add that the ratings have plummeted from middle of Season 2 due to how the series has handled the elements of the storyline. The citing of hiatuses also speculates a lot of things!
Viewers are aware that the story is all about imagination (make believe) and if the shows ratings continues to decline and the network plans to put an end to the series, just make sure to tie up the loose end and give reasonable explanation on the “red herrings” that writers have tossed to the series. It may not have a happy ending but at least end it with a real conclusion that pays off the anticipation of the viewers and not a huge cliff hanger…..unless the network plans to create a spin-off!
More power to your show and may you surpass the success of other FOX current projects.
NO NO NO!!! THAT IS THE WORST IDEA EVER!!!!! I cant even believe that they would think of something that stupid!! I love Prisonbreak-but a womans prisonbreak is such a retarded idea!! Can they not come up with something better than that! Please do not subject us to that!
your not watching pb because they killed off dr. tancredi? you guys are dumb. Misa did not make this show. their romantic plot was so damn thin, dr. tancredi was flat out boring. i think this “cherry hill” proposal came about a while after I wrote a message on the PB board a while back; I asked would this show be equal or better if Michale and Linc were women?. SEVERAL people responded with a hell yes. But that would only work if this show had never aired. If they had used women from the start. Spinoffs suck. They are not needed. I believe this to be a joke; just to hear what the public would say. You all have said you wouldn’t watch a spinoff… they won’t create one. Don’t let the death of Dr. Tancredi interrupt your view of the show. Even Miller has stated it would be a great tragedy to watch unfold. It affects everyone on the show. I can’t wait until Michael finds out. Will he kill his brother? Will they seperate? And for the record, Molly isn’t the new love interest. He has one coming up a little later after he meet’s her.
So will this Molly character become Micheal’s new love interest then? as far as the spin-off- PLEASE NO! The plot sounds fruity (duh!) and the timing is not right. PB TPTB please reconsider.
Oh so THAT is why they are taking ages to CAST Molly! She has to be good enough to lead a new series! Hehehe!
Uh-huh. Oh so THAT is why they are taking ages to CAST Molly! She has to be good enough to lead a new series! Hehehe!
Would I watch a spin off of Prison Break?
I would probably give it a whirl and watch it, but it really all depends on how much I like future castmast “Molly.”
What would REALLY make me watch it is; hypothetically speaking, of course, ..Guest Star..Wentworth Miller..Conjugal visit..w/ inmate Molly! :)
So far, Season 3 is rockin’ my world, I’m lovin’ every second of PB!
no way, I have begun to lose my patience with the way this season is going.
that is soo stupic no i woudlnt watch it gay as idea stubpi dont do it no point its not going to be better that prison break soo
yes molly will be mikes new love intrest but they wont just fall in love likem michael and sara did they both have a bad back ground of losing loved ones and she is aparenty just as smart as he is soo htey have a good connecting but they wont be going for it straight aways it will be a while before they are together but im glad michael will gwt over sara i lvoed her and him but shes dead now and all i want is michael babey to be happy
I wouldnt watch it
Prison Break is all about Micheal and Lincoln
This would ruin the entire series
PS. I love Wenty!!!!
PPPPPllleeeeaaasseee - give the fans, the viewers a break.
The only reason people keep on watching PB is Wentworth Miller (who is getting better and better, don’t you think?), Dominic Purcell and all the other great guys. But it is a show about Michael and Linc. Who the heck wants to watch this silly Molly-charakter in Cherry Hills behind bars????? Lara is right, in Germany we had a show about women in jail. It was a cheap, unbearable soap with cheesy actresses. The show was called “Behind Bars”- the absolute horror. Don’t give us a stupid spin-off, give us better scripts for season three and somehow bring back Sara!!!!!
Funny to notice that 80% of the negatives comments are written by bitter Sara/Michael shippers.
Funny to notice that you are so quick to jump in here to give your opinion about a) a show you claim you don’t watch anymore (PB), b) about a show you will never watch (CH). How you can already have a judgement about a show we still know almost nothing about is a mystery.
Funny how some of you think that their personal convictions are some kind of Universal Truth (“Season 3 is crap”, “Nobody’s interested in that Molly character”…).
IMHO season 3 is doing quite good so far. And beyond Wentworth’s prettiness I think he has again improved as an actor in a beautiful way and it’s a great thing to watch.
As far as the spinoff is concerned, it’s too early to say anything IMO - it all depends on who are the writers, who is the main actress, what angle they will use…
