High School lovebirds Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens make a rare public appearance together at the Frederick’s of Hollywood Spring 2008 Collection debut at the Palladium on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
A booth full of guests at the show was asked to clear out when Zanessa arrived. That’s right, move out the way! Zac and Vanessa enjoyed the parade of runway models displaying corsets designed by celebrities.
Says USA Today, “Hudgens clammed up when she was asked to discuss her favorite looks of the evening, inspiring Efron to pipe in: ‘I’m not really an underwear kind of guy, but she is.’ Indeed, Efron did look bored as celebrated stripteaser Dita Von Teese performed in a gilded bird cage. Keeping a tight grip on her man, Hudgens would say only that she liked the feathers that appeared on models throughout the evening.”
This is Vanessa’s second public appearance since her nude photo scandal. She made a very brief appearance at Us‘ Hot Hollywood party last month.

Not that I’m one of those people who think that everyone on TV is supposed to be a role model for kids, however, these two make their career by appealing to minors and all they have done is become part of the tawdry generation of underage pornography and alcohol addiction, which if you think about, also might set a good example for kids, by showing them the consequences of bad behavior…there you go, they are role models! ^.^

First I want to say Baby V is gorgeous as ALWAYS! I love her dress! The color is okay, but the cut is amazing. I love how is cuts close to her ****** lol it makes her look her age. Remember people there not in high school. Second, Zac I love as well, but really needs to present himself with Vanessa a little better. When your in love and as high profiled as this couple is you need to show it. We look forward to these very rare sightings. We want to see happiness..holding hands, kissing, sweet whispers. Frederick’s of Hollywood is hosting a fashion show and benefit for the Clothes off our Backs Foundation, an organization that auctions off celebrity clothing and gives the proceeds to children’s charities. The next day, there is an auction at the Fredericks of Hollywood flagship store (6751 Hollywood Blvd.).
Thank Malia for providing the charity info. People see ‘Frederick’s of Hollywood’ and their minds go immediately into the gutter.

Zac and Vanessa seem way more happy together and in tuned with each other when there isn’t media right up in their faces. Since Zac always says he’s a private person, I think he pulls a more contained expression because he thinks the indifference look will make the picture less desirable even though time has proved that Z and V fans love all the pictures of them. It’s been said before that he sometimes does look happier with other people but it would make sense since he isn’t trying to hide his personal life then and there.
And as for the ring missing, it’s not a big deal, really. For one, he had zero jewelry on, and two, his body language when he’s holding his arm around her isn’t all that stiff with distance between their bodies. If he has it in his mind that they are over, he wouldn’t mold his hand around her waist or lean towards her like he does in at least some of the pictures, at least in my own thoughts.
Especially in the candids of them talking to people they look happy together and at the very minimum, comfortable together. Despite being actors for a living, when famous people meet after breakups or hardships, it’s hard to act through that and make everyone think everything is okay.
These two may not make it for the rest of their lives, as that is a long time if you think of it, but for right now, I’d say they are the cutest couple in Young Hollywood today.

Hey everyone, zyraluvsbbv, spirit, sorry I missed v-loyalist, but I know she will be back, just like I know we will most definately be hearing from Troy at some point.
Anyway, it is great to see our kids together for charity. Didn’t I read somewhere that Zac donates his old clothes to these kind of things?
As for why Zac was there, here’s my guess:
Zac comes back from the gym, calls Vanessa to see what she is up to(or maybe she was at his place, nomb),
V tells him she’s going out to this event with whomever and asks if he wants to go,
Zac says sure, how much time do I have?
V says not much they are on theri way at this moment.
So zac hops in the shower real quick, gets dressed, and off they go.
Then a little while later, zac realizes that in his hurry he forgot his chain and his ring. And hey, who hasn’t forgotten something like that at some point or another?
Now JJ, can you please try to post these stories without adding this Vanessa’s(insert # here) appearance at a public fuction since her attempt to destroy the world with her one little mistake?

It was nice to see Zac and Vanessa out again and I would’nt say he looks that bored and it does say that it was when someone was doing a striptease in a guilded bird cage so who could blame him, but the photo’s with Vanessa were nice and the main thing was he was there for support for her, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the missing ring was just a over sight on Zac’s part as Vanessa is still wearing her’s, but hey it’s their life.
Perhaps they’re taking it slow with appearences together which is undertstandable, same as the question they got asked, I mean come on they are both very private people so did they honestly expect Zac to tell them and everyone else what underwear he like’s to see Vanessa in that’s a personal matter between boyfriend/girlfriend, and I don’t blame either of them for not telling, you can just imagaine it if they had have said it would have just been something else to say about Vanessa and call her name’s about and no doubt get twisted.
There is nothing wrong in men liking to see their partner in sexy underwear after all why should it just be for the benefit of the woman, it works both ways, but as I say that’s between them, how do we know that Vanessa did’nt buy Zac some ’special’ underwear it’s their buisness.
It was just nice to see them out and on the whole I think they looked happy, again a fashion show for most men is’nt their idea of a good night out but Zac went with her and that’s what counts.
Hope we see his ring back on soon.
And I loved how the booth got emptied when they arrived that just made me laugh.
And it was nice to see Vanessa smiling but as she said she love’s fashion so it was her kind of thing to attend.
Hope we see more of this couple again and that they contiune to grow as a couple.

Honestly, I think too many parents, and non-parents, are expecting these stars to help set examples for their children. That’s sad! Hey Narf, here I am. When I first opened this I saw there were already 150 posts and by the time I got done reading them it was at 218! Yes, I do take the time to read before I make comments unlike so many others. So, here we go, I’m sure everyone is just waiting with baited breath to hear my opinions. LOL
I don’t know where to begin but here goes: Everyone should read #155, #165, and #175 (that’s kind of strange isn’t it? but I think that’s the ones) because it gives some very good info.
As far as Z & V not looking happy together is so stupid. People who hate this couple apparently don’t bother to do any research—not reading posts that tell the nature of this event or looking at ALL the pictures of these two. Yes, Zac looks bored in some and probably is a little uncomfortable at this function and knows the grief he will get from some. However, if one would look at all the pictures you can see he is thrilled to be with his girl. See the picture from yahoo news or the one where it looks like he is introducing his girl to Jane Kaczmerek(sp). You can’t judge from every picture as these flashes are going off constantly so every expression is not going to be perfect.
So much is made of the ring that I have wondered if they will start playing with it so it isn’t the foundation of their relationship. HOWEVER, considering he has does not have his charm on either I’d say he got side-tracked and forgot them both. If that was the case I’m sure he felt terrible. I have rarely been without my wedding ring but when it has happened it was because I forgot and then when I realized it I felt like someone punched me in the stomach.
To the naysayers who think this is publicity or who are trying to start something about a breakup or whatever, #1–I thought it was telling on Zac’s part how he wasn’t into underwear(lingerie) but she was—how would he know that if they weren’t “personal” with each other? It also says, this is something she is interested in but I could be somewhere else yet I support her interests. #2–she refuses to say what she likes in the lingerie line because she is private and doesn’t want to start anymore personal questions that might have been directed at Zac and her personally. #3–I’m sure this was hard for them this was hard for them to go to because of the scandal which some will never let go of. But it was a CHARITY event which I’m sure they support. #4–Since the ORSO outing where they got overwhelming support I would imagine they felt a little more confident in going out together in this situation. Someone who is looking out for them probably said, Look, everyone knows you are together so don’t let anything stop you from going out together wherever you want to go and show some affection if you want to. It DOESN’T mean they have to answer personal and prying questions about their personal life. The may have found out that “oldies” lie me, Narf(sorry LOL) and others believe in them and what they feel, that people like us find joy in their joy. I think these two were well aware that because of their age they might face ridicule and teasing which would be uncomfortable for anyone of us sp they didn’t want any part of that and tried to play it low-key. Because they are both private people I’m sure they still don’t like too much attention either.
As far as Disney goes, they are probably secretly thrilled and more than ready to do a HSM3 as they can see the $$$ signs now. I mean, Johnny Depp isn’t an angel but they are more than happy the $$$ he has brought them with Pirates. HSM3 isn’t going to be on the Disney Channel, it is planned to be on the big screen which makes a difference. HSM doesn’t just appeal to the tweeners anymore. So, Disney, I’d get ready to shell out some really big bucks to these two! LOL
So many won’t read this because it is not 25 words or less but what can I say…
They’re wearing matching shoes, well, they are both silver anyway. And the way they act, you can tell that they love each other and even if Zac wouldn’t want to be there, he went anyway, to be with his girl, I mean, it’s not really the same but Vanessa went to two (that I know of) of the Hairspray premiers to support him, I mean, that’s what couple do. I’m really surprised that they haven’t forgotten the ring more often, and it’s bound to happen, it doesn’t mean anything but I hope that next time we see him, he will wear it.
I really like her dress as well, I mean, first I was like, what’s that, but when I look closer at it, it’s really cool, I love the pattern.

#237Dee, I was just gong to post along with what you were saying. You all know what? I think these two ARE good role models. They may not be the role models of innocence but they are NOT 12 or 13 years old either. They love each other and have supported each other these past several weeks through thick and thin. They have NOT broken up even though I’m sure some “handlers” would like for them to have done so. They were stubborn and didn’t flinch—I think THAT is a good role model—that you don’t turn tail and run when the going gets tough. Most parents may not want their teens having relations and they should do their parenting about that. HOWEVER, you want your kids to know that a true long term relationship will be hard and you need to be responsible and know how to weather the storms. These two support THAT kind of role model—a little older and mature couple and people you did not just jump into bed together. Whether you think it right or not I don’t believe they didn’t show maturity about their decisions. AND that is what kids should think about—not the passion and feel-good for the moment—but could it be a lasting thing and am I willing to take the good with the bad.
Also, about Vanessa one mistake—it wasn’t meant to be a mistake. Another good point from Dee, why isn’t the person who sold her out on trial here? I believe it could very well be that Zac took this picture when they were alone and someone found it and exposed it. So, how is it a mistake? It was NOT meant for anyone else’s eyes but theirs. If it was these two together in an intimate situation she has nothing to be sorry about! Passion and love—intimacy—is a wonderful thing and this is what young people need to learn—not by going out and doing it with everyone but taking it slowly and understanding each other and developing feelings over time. I think this is what these two did and it shouldn’t be muddied. Be adults parents and suck it up and be honest instead of making it sound like this girl is “dirty” instead of being embarrassed yourselves about speaking about such things to your kids.

Fair enough they will have the camera’s on them but that does’nt mean that they have to parade their love for each other at every opportunity just to prove to the press that they’re still together, they will hold hands when they want to and as far as I remember they have never been a couple who were allover each other in public and what’s so bad about that.
They know how they feel and choose to show it in private, good for them.
But if you look at some video’s on the net they can be loving and do little gestures when they think no-one is looking but that’s cute that’s how they choose to be.
In their buisness you have a public image and a way of behaving and a private side that only you and your partner are privvy to and that’s how it should be, private life and public life kept seperate.
And it did say that the actual show both Zac and Vanessa enjoyed,it was just the striptease in a bird cage that Zac looked bored, well who can blame him for that.
People just want to see them break up but I think 2 years plus is bloody good for a couple at their ages, so don’t knock it when you don’t know them personally and only see a public side to them.

#206 You are so right. Vanessa definitely needs to not show up at these events Like Paris she should really contribute her time and volunteer as well. Like there this organization called Best Buddies International that forges friendships between intellectually disabled people and high school students. They had an at a bowling alley the first of this month. Now see here’s an event that affects people Vanessa’s age why couldn’t she have volunteered her time I mean really… oh, wait she did.
Then Variety magazine did a “Power of Youth” event to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital where many of the A-list of the up-and-generation of performers gave their time to volunteer we’re talking people like Miley Cyrus were giving of their time for this important cause and where the heck was Vanessa. Oh, heh, she was right there alongside Miley and the others. Boy is my face red.
My point is Vanessea DOES volunteer her time to charity. Hell, you would know just by looking at the archives under Vanessa’s name. But its much easier to be an ignornat jerk and bash isn’t it? As far as whether or not either Zac or Vanessa contributed anything monetarily wise. How do you KNOW they didn’t? You don’t and what’s worse you don’t even take the trouble to find out. Which totally invalidates you’re opinion in my eyes.

I couldn’t agree with you more these 2 are a such a pleasure to see happy and very much in love at a young age, and are definetly great role models to teenagers and kids. I have been reading these commenets for a few weeks now the good and the nasty and well i won’t lower myself to the haters level and comment on those as their not worth the time… All the positive comments are so amazing and I am sure if Zac&V were ever to read these they would be happy to know how much support they have in both their career and private life.
They might be young but that does’nt mean that they won’t make it, their still learning about each other in many way’s, their having fun hanging out together and trying to do things that any normal couple would but in the limelight which is’nt easy.
And it’s not like they’ve run off and got married, their taking things slow which is good, after all Zac is only 20 and Vanessa nearly 19 they’ve got plenty of time to make more of a commitment to each other if that’s what they choose.
It can work as I know not very often but it does happen, my best friends sister and her partner have been togethersince they were both 17 and are now in their forties, I’m not saying that it’s been all sweetness and light like my friend said but they’ve worked at it.
And that’s just like Zac and Vanessa they met young, became friends and as they have both said connected straight away, felt comfortable with each and it’s grown from their, long may it contiune and good luck to them.
If people don’t like them together and can’t accept them then that’s their problem not Zac and Vanessa’s so why should they have to keep proving anything.

I am not overly found of Vanessa’s dress but she looks so good in bold colors and she wears white well which most of us can’t pull off. That beautiful dark coloring of hers lets her wear certain things and she judges well on that. Plus, just because some of you prefer blonds and light complected people, don’t show yourselves so bigoted. Really, it’s unbecoming and doesn’t say much for the age in which we live. (BTW, I’m as white as they come). Those of you wishing that Zac would pair up with Ashlee, keep on dreaming because you will be in a long sleep. This boy from the time he was 10 or 11 years old had a poster of Tyra Banks on his ceiling and has said he liked dark-skin ladies. SO, even if Zac and Vanessa broke up I doubt you will see him in a long term relationship with a blond and fair-skinned girl. Let these kids love each other and choose for themselves. Remember, you can’t please all the people all the time…SOOO, the people who hate these two why don’t you find something more productive to do than support slander and since it is in writing libel?

I have always thought the the fans have made to much out of their rings. I was just waiting for this day to happen, and for everyone to go crazy if one were missing. I know the true fans love them together and basically want confirmation of their relationship. It is cute and we as fan’s want to make sure they are ok after all that has happened.
Watching from the fan prospective you will never know what is really going on. The only thing you can for sure say is they went together to this event and it was for a good cause. Vanessa looks very happy. Zac looks fine to me. When has he ever smiled in every picture.

Zanessa broke up and this time for real…
A source very close to Zac reported that Zac and Vanessa have indeed splitted, just the day after they were reported strolling hand in hand at one Hollywood Fashion Show yesterday night. Zac told the source on the phone that it’s over. Many attributed the split to the fact that Zac didn’t wear his ring and showed little interest during the event. However, Zac denied this reasoning. “It’s mutual consent and I respect Vanessa’s decision to do so”. Apparently, during the show Vanessa bought several of the displayed items and tried them before Zac’s eyes when they were back to their apartment. Since then, they have been glued for whoknowshowlong. “It’s time to break up,” Zac said with sad tone, “Vanessa needs to finish her album and I have to prepare for Seventeen (Zac’s next movie project)”. Vanessa looks gorgeous . I really like that dress on her. Zac strikes me as someone who only dresses up when he has to. My husband is like that too. When Zac does dress up he usually looks very stunning. I think Zac went to the event to support Vanessa. He said he doesn’t care much about underwear. I’m glad to see them both working for charities. As far as Zac’s ring is concerned , I’ll bet he forgot it. You can see in some photos , he loøks like he is looking at his right hand and realizing there is no ring there. They are so cute together. I wish them much happiness and success.

Dee, I got your meaning just fine and I hope everyone caught what you were saying. Zac NEVER speaks about his personal life so I seriously doubt he would tell some wannabe such a personal thing about him and Vanessa. If it was a friend he was talking to whom he could trust—and I don’t think he discusses such things with even personal friends, and none of those people were there—they wouldn’t be going out and telling tales on their friends.

Wow, so many awesome comments! I have to admit when I saw the title of the pictures, I cringed, thinking it was not an event they should be at. But if you watch the video, (I can’t remember who posted the link), you get a whole different perspective. There were TONS of other people and celebrities at the event, and it was a children’s charity. There is no reason anyone should trash just them for being there. It looked like half of Hollywood was there.

I’m afraid that I may have tipped off some of the haters early this morning. Before I went to bed at 2:30 EDT I found two pictures of Zac and Vanessa and Amanda Bynes at this benefit and on WireImage and posted it for their fans on some of the threads here. AND there were only 2 pictures at that time. So the haters must have just waited until jj posted pictures so they could get the ball rolling. BUT it says these people are SOOOO interested in getting attention that and they don’t obviously have anything else to do, why else do you take your precious time to try to make people miserable?
Now, this ridiculous stuff about Zac being high: I have those kind of blue eyes and I can’t tell you how often I must look “out of it” and high if tirdness equals those looks. Plus, this stuff about dilated eyes…if camera lights are flashing in your face then your eyes will dilate and that is why Zac couldn’t see his and Vanessa’s limo the other night at ORSO. Those kind of lights can quickly wear out the eyes of a blue-eyed person. Blue eyes happen to be the most sensitive eyes and I have lived with mine for years and have had countless people tell me how tired I have looked, etc. I will say it once again, blue-eyed people show every emotion they have.

it would be easy to speculate that zac efron is gay by the way he looks and he has so many of the typical gay tendencies like his interest in musical theatre, his obvious interest in looking good and fashionable, his metrosexual style, his obsession in working out and looking so fit and buff,,,, yet honestly looking at his moves despite all that he seems to be a guy who really knows how to work out a woman, makes those women fall in love with him (example, vanessa and nikki) and hey those girls won’t go crazy if little zakki has not done the right moves .. he is a flirt who can really make this girls tremble inside…look at the way he makes nikki feel so good about herself……he obviously has done something right an d made these girls feel good inside…now looking back at his early roles in summerland when he was just about 16 or 17 at that time, he already had it back then and was already a little boy hottie who had all the right moves to make the young girls swoon….i saw no traces of a boy who might have been gay then…he was simply a adorable little thin moppet of a guy who had what it takes to make that little cutie kay panabaker fall for him. and yes he was a good kisser too as early as then….
so i really think that he is into women more, knows his way around the women, but is too seductive and sexy and the strong artistic energy in him would probably lead him to an experimental lifestyle eventually, if he isn’t open to it yet…

okay, i see your point. she does charity. i allowed myself to get off topic.the only reason why i brought it up in the first place was because i feel this specific kind of “charity” (showing up to get your picture snapped and mingle with other celebs) doesn’t really constitute as charity imo. but as you pointed out, she does do more active work and i applaud her for that. for example, jessica simpson looks like a fool in the other pictures of this event because she is continuing that ditzy act but i know she spearheads the operation smile charity, so i was saying this isn’t really a charity in this context.
i guess i still feel she was extremely irresponsible in taking those pictures (even if they were taken to be private or when she was 15 or whatever), it was a conscious choice and honestly, who doesn’t remember they have nude pictures circulating about? i would have made sure they never surfaced if i were her, i mean how many copies were there exactly? how many people did she send it to? if it were just her ex-bf, shouldn’t it have been easy to control? idk, i have some suspicions. anyways, i have two younger sisters who LOVE HSM and one of them heard about the nude pics at school and saked me about it. i didn’t know what to say and i think she should be more aware of her fanbase.
