Zac Efron sports a new beanie and checks the messages on his iPhone while out and about in Hollywood on Thursday afternoon.
The Hairspray star was reportedly at a business meeting earlier in the day. For High School Musical 3! Just kidding, I have no idea.

Love the video of Vanessa and I for one think she did really well to do the red carpet on her own and face all those photographer’s especially when they were screaming at her the way they was.
But her and Zac did arrive together andnot seperately as reported I saw another video and it looked like they went in the back way then just seperated while Vanessa did the red carpet then apparently joined up back inside. Love the report of them having a private time and spending part of the night cuddling awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that is so cute and nice for them to be able to do that without the press in their faces, and she called him babe.
Wonder when Zac’s ring will make a appearence, this seems to be the longest time that it’s not been seen in photo’s since they started wearing them, Vanessa still has her’s on though, I know it’s not a big thing but it just seemsfunny.
Love his hat, and have to say those arms are looking well fit and it seems asges since we’ve seen Zac in a white t-shirt, he should wear them more often let’s just say they cling in all the right places.

Guys, I just read that Ellen and Portia may have broken up, and now with Zac’s right ring finger empty, I’m hoping he and Vanessa haven’t gone the same way as those hot lesbians. Maybe he’s just given up on the ring because he doesn’t want it to seem like he’s “engaged”…after all they wear it on the right hand so I doubt it was anything more than friendship….and he’s just about to start a new project and I notice they never wear their rings when they work. I have always been fascinated with body language between couples. And one of the reasons I was drawn to Zac and Vanessa was that subtle way they would glance at each other when they were promoting HSM and HSM2. Even watching the making of HSM2, you could see that special spark between the two of them. Zac’s feelings show in his face and eyes when he looks at her. And Vanessa’s face lights up when he’s in the same room. Like a special magic, it made everyone’s heart skip a beat just seeing these two clean-cut young kids trying to “hide their feelings” from the public.
When asked about the “relationship,” Zac once said that he didn’t want to be the 19-year-old with his personal life written about in magazines.
I think that trying to keep the relationship private has been hard on both Zac and Vanessa. Our always-smiling-Zac, suddenly when seen in public with the love of his life tried to frown and look uninterested. However, I’m certain that Zac and Vanessa discussed all these tactics before they tried to present the “we’re just pals” image to the public.
Then after an unfortunate incident with Vanessa, the paparazzi were after them like a pack of wolves, asking rude questions. What to do, what to do? Hiding out was one option, but they chose not to do that. With matching glum looks they faced the world and tried to still pretend they were “best buddies.”
Then something magic happened. Zac spent time with his father in Australia. Nothing like father and son talks to bring everything into perspective. On Zac’s return, he’s offering up smiles to those paparazzi. He’s seen in public with Vanessa holding her hand, protecting her from those paps and calling her babe. Still no major PDA. Just enough to show that they are together. He goes with her to a fashion show, and we hear her calling him babe. And away from the cameras, they are comfortable enough to cuddle with each other.
It’s obvious that Zac and Vanessa care very deeply for each other. Who but the world’s worst skeptic would doubt that? These two have an unusual bond for being as young as they are. Remember they met at the casting of HSM and have been together for two-and-a-half years. That in itself is unusual in today’s world. But, these two are not part of the Hollywood party crowd. They both have solid families who support them in times of trouble.
As their fans, we should root for them in their careers and not constantly speculate as to whether or not they broke up or why he’s not wearing the ring. When you are connected at the heart, does anything else really matter?
If we dont see his ring anymore for a week. I have a feeling, he misplaced it .No worries!!!As long as they are together. But it’s nice though to see that ring as the symbol of thier love.
I thought Zac was starting to film his next movie until the 3rd December it seems a bit early to take his ring off.
I suppose it could be all the engagement rumours that are going around, but Vanessa is wearing her’s so it just seems strange that he’s not got it on now, if it is just a ‘friendhsip’ ring like he’s always said then why suddenly stop wearing it when it was given to him by Vanessa from what I read and yet she still has her’s on.
I know they appear to becoming more comfortable with being seen together in public but then his ring suddenly goes, yet it was on show for the recent hairspray event, his birthday but now it’sgone.
Well we will have to wait and see, but I applaud Vanessa for coping with the press so well.
And in another video Zac and Vanessa did arrive together and not seperately as some reports said.
Love Zac and Vanessa. They are both very talented and stylish individuals.

During the photos at the Hairspray event there was that one picture where Zac definitely seems to be flipping off someone…I’m wondering if that incident had anything to do with his ring? It seemed in that picture he was very prominently displaying it in the guy’s face. Maybe he doesn’t have the ring on as a defiant gesture of some kind. I’m sure these kids know how much talk these rings generate and it may start to become a weight around their necks, not because it doesn’t symbolize something to him but he get tired of everyone making judgments about his status with Vanessa by it. That’s all people worry about.
But it is probably something very simple like getting resized or something like that. I also did wonder about him losing it or worse yet someone stealing it. Perhaps someone also took the necklace since I notice he isn’t wearing that either. Lifting weights at a gym would make you take a lot of things off for safety purposes so someone could have swiped it—you could imagine how much some people would like to get their hands on those things. And I doubt he really wants to broadcast that kind of thing so he may desperately be trying to find them. I hope nobody would do that to him. I could only imagine how horrible he would feel about that.

She handled it all very well. Crazy stuff. Maybe filming doesn’t start till 12/3, but maybe they’re already doing alot of pre-production stuff for te movie and rather than risk losing it by having to take it off while working he left it at home.

My take on the missing ring is maybe it’s us always commenting about it that made him take it off. That was their “Special Thing together”

OMFG, they treat her as if she is some kind of toy, poor girl, I can’t even imagine what it’s like. I have to say that I wouldn’t be able to handle it the way she did so yay for her, and that she was able to keep the smile on her face, that I even admire more, although, all of the flashes can’t be good for the eyes, I mean, I’m nearly blinded when one camera goes of in my face, imagine how it would be like with 20-30.

#86 Erica, he had it the other day when he left the gym but he goes to the gym pretty much every day according to Vanessa so we don’t know what may have happened Tuesday Wednesday before he went to the charity event. I’m still wondering why he doesn’t have his charm on.

Troy you are so right. This is what the Paparazzi do at EVERY red carpet event. We just don’t see the videos of it. The actresses ALL pose, that is how we see all the photos in People, InStyle etc…

haha, funny how people worry over a ring. i have a few things to say about this, not to be mean, but for all my fellow zanessa fans who are upset about this subject. 1) remember that zac and v have cared about eachother and loved eachother since day 1. well maybe not loved eachother from the start, but you the chemistry was there from the start. they wouldnt just throw that away after what seemed to be a good day at a LINGERIE show, not an ordinary event here folks, AN UNDERWEAR SHOW. haha, if you catch my drift ;] 2) personally, i think he forgot to put it back on. he wasnt wearing it at the event, and i think vanessa went back to his house and spent the night. he was probably busy spending time with her, to even remember to put it back on. same thing would go for if he dropped her off that night. he seemed to have a busy day yesterday(these pics) he probably went to sleep and then rolled out of bed this morning and left. if you notice, he does look a little messy. no offense he just does. 3) there were times he wasnt wearing it, but v and him were still together 4) its very possible its being re sized. 5) vanessa WAS wearing hers, and this was only 2 days ago. 6)vanessa called him babe and they were “carelessly cuddling” at the show. now does that sound like they would break up the next day? just think about these things guys. dont worry about it. we would only need to worry if vanessa wasnt wearing hers when she went out. but she was wearing hers last time we checked, where zac WASNT.

Omg, how does Vanessa deal with all that. The people screaming, the flashing of cameras. I know I’d never be able to handle it. But I love that she’s getting attention, good attention. So when I saw her getting slammed for doing what they all do and yes enjoying herself while doing it (why shouldn’t she?) I couldn’t let it pass with comment. Let me just say first this is not addressed to all Zanessa fans:
Zanessa fans, it would really be helpful to everyone—espeically to all of you—if you guys would read at least a few of the posts before posting. LOL I mean, the ring situation has been talked to death and yet that is the only thing some of you fret about. I don’t think the man has forgotten it this many times so something must be playing a factor but it certainly doesn’t have to mean a breakup. Also, the first time he didn’t have it on was when he was at the Frederick’s of Hollywood event and he was WITH Vanessa telling a magazine how he wasn’t into underwear but Vanessa was—something very personal and intimate. Reports were they were cuddling with each other at the event. There are videos of them arriving together. There are more videos which show they are together apparently EVERYDAY! Just because jj didn’t print a picture of them together doesn’t mean they are not together. Just because he isn’t wearing a ring doesn’t mean they aren’t together. I am amazed that the boy can be standing right next to his girl with his arm around her and the first thing some of you worry about is Where’s the ring, do you think they have broken up?
Anyway, a picture used to be worth a thousand words. A video should be worth more. AND with just a little reading all this can be yours.

I just wanted to say something about this nonsense about Zac having done musicals is somehow “proof” he’s gay. I already posted it on the “Vanessa at Physical Therapy” thread but I’ll repeat in case anyone didn’t eee it. So pay attention.
Saying Zac doing musicals is proof he’s gay is such a ridiculous stereotype that I can’t believe anybody is actually serious when they type it. Secondly do you who else has done a musical? Some posters refer to Vanessa being asked to pose by the photographers as bad things. I can tell you, guys, that’s very normal in modeling biz. On stage, Vanessa is presenting not only herself but also her dress and accessories, especially if she represents a certain designer. The professional photographers need to capture every essence of those, front, side, back, twisting, over the shoulder. Whether she likes to be commanded like that or not, that’s not the questions. She is a professional. She should know the drill. In the allocated time, she has to pose in several standard ways and if requested can repeat certain poses. Nothing wrong or insulting or negative. The photographers and the models are professional people doing their job with dedication.
But it’s different when it was done on street, not on stage, by the “paparazzi” (or non-official photographers), a model is not obliged to pose for them.

And that pic above, and the pic of Vanessa together…it almost seems like Zac stayed over with Vanessa. If you notice the white shirt and pants, it looks the same as the charity w/out the plaid shirt. If that was true, that would definitely explain why he doesn’t have the ring.

Thanks, Narf, I know there was one of those little gossip things earlier today that Zac and Vanessa were looking at engagement rings together. So, maybe this is the scenario: Zac needed something done to his ring, he takes it by a jewelers and as any girl Vanessa’s age can’t resist looking at the rings. There might be some truth to that rumor like: yes, they were at a jewelers, yes, they looked at rings, but no (I seriously doubt anyway) were they there to look at engagement rings because it was to have something done to Zac’s ring. Makes sense to me now. I can’t sleep without having a workable solution to a question. LOL It may turn out to be complete hogwash in the morning but it works for me now!

I’m completely sure that I don’t want such a thing with Zac and Vanessa relationship, and also I’m pretty sure that they will never do that, they seem to be really private people, and yes they are still really young. Personally I hate that TV shows, I don’t see anything worth it on them, as you have clearly said it, that programs transforms love into hate. But I post it, like a funny thing. When their magazine came out, I totally think, that the only thing that they were left to do was a TV show, but just thinking that in a funny way, because of course the magazine wasn’t their idea, it was from some people that want to make money with them, and that’s what I became to this crazy idea.
I’m such a big fan of HSM, and especially of Zac & Vanessa work and relationship. So I can tell you easily that I’m a Zanessa support all the way.

I love it when they have photo’s taken with a fan or a friend and it’s not by the press they look so more relaxed which is nice for them.
And they manage to get passed the press sometime’s which is great.
But why are people calling Vanessa a name becuase of how she was on the red carpet, it’s stupid she was doing what male/female do on the carpet and bloody well posing for the press does’nt make her a hoe or worse. And if she did’nt then she’d be accused of being stuck up so the poor girl can’t win.I think she did really well to go on her own, mind you it must have been nice for her to know that Zac was their supporting her and that she could go to the comfort of his arms.

And if Zac does start shooting his film soon I don’t blame them spending as much time together as possible,no doubt filming will include some night shooting so they won’t see each other so much so it’s nice to know that they spend what time they can now just doing normal couplethings eg going to chris’s game, watching or playing a dvd.

Recently, I was listening to Ashley Tisdale’s interview with Hot 99.5 and I got to say that I did not like the interviewer. He made uncalled for comments about Vanessa. He kept bringing up the nude pictures but Ashley defended her. Why can’t people move on!?
She made a mistake just like everyone else. People have no right to judge her because she has not wronged anybody but herself. It was a stupid thing to do and I truly believe that she has learned her lesson the hard way. People don’t understand that there is no lesser or greater sin, a sin is a sin. In the eyes of God, cheating is just as great as beating someone up. Nobody is perfect. Everyone has their own flaws. It’s in human nature to err and it is inevitable. Thus like YOU and ME, she has committed a mistake. Hence, no one has the right to judge her.
To all the haters out there
Why don’t you take one step back and look at yourself in the mirror before judging someone else.
BTW Troy, If the person who is impersonating you is who I think they are, they have some nerve.
Here are some hints to who I think it is;
1) This person has a very negative attitude.
2) When someone started posting comments under this persons name, they were extremely P.O.ed.
3) When we stopped responding to their posts, they started using different names but their attitude still came through. And we stil did not respond.
So now, If it is indeed the very same person, their tactic is to start making comments under your name in order to get a response.
That’s my theory, what do you think? Do you know who I am talking about?

For some guilty-pleasure reason, I am also a sucker for Zanessa…
They stood behind me the duration of the entire lingerie show. He held Vanessa most of the time, looking completely in love.
After the show when we were introduced, they held hands tight, only to separate for Zac to shoot the short video clip with me. They both were very gracious and all smiles, and definitely, definitely still together!

Hey at our university, there is a weekley magazine. and there was a question put out to the students ‘ who would u go to jail for’ (who would u have sex with underage) I know its inappropriate….. but students will be students. anyway vanessa in HSM1 was in top 5. shows that all the guys at my uni think she is ……….. hot. so thats good. lawyers got hold of the article and it was on the front page of our newspaper. anyway legal age for sex is 16 here, and she was 16 then, so i dont see what the hoopla was all about. I don’t know what the interviewer’s deal is if he’s supposed to be Hot 99.5’s version of Howard Stern or what, but some of his comments about Vanessa were IMO out of line. Of course he never said her name he always referred to her as “Your co-star” or “girlfriend.” I could tell Ashley wasn’t appreciating it at all.

As far as the Ashley Tisdale interview, I sometimes think it bast to say nothing. Discussing the subject just brings focus to it again. I never saw the sfirst half of the video with Ashley, but I saw the econd half, something at the end made me stop and think.
Why is it that for Ashley to not talk about her personal life is admirable, but for Zac and Vanessa to not talk about it means that it’s not a real relationship, or something must be wrong.
Don’t get me wrong, I like ashley, but why does everyone demand proof that zanessa is really together, but no one bothers to question whether ashley and jared are really together? Or ask the same about the other cast members?
Troy, going back to your comment on guys in musicals. Another good example is John Travolta!! And he still gets a kick out of doing musicals. I think musicals now, with their pop-rock feel, are like a movie with music videos thrown in. That’s what the HSM movies looked like to me….and that’s what make them fun to watch.

Hey everyone, hope everyone is doing fine today. I couldn’t believe that when I got up there had been 100 posts to this thread alone! But before I do anything I actually try to READ what has been said so I will be up to date. LOL
I have to go out for a while and I will probably have another 100 posts to read when I get back. (I haven’t even started on the new thread..) But I did want to comment about Ashley’s interview—which I have not heard. I’m sure she wanted to make it known loud and clear that she is Vanessa’s friend and whatever the case she would still be her friend. After everything was said and done she probably felt bad that she gave this dope any reason to keep pursuing the subject but it was too late then. I’m sure she realized later it would have been much better to state from the start that she would say absolutely nothing on the matter but she is also young an passionate about her friends and it probably just slipped out.
It seems strange to me how when Vanessa and Zac were trying so hard not to have people see them together and think they were dating everyone wanted to report how they were sighted here and there and how they seemed like a couple. Then once it comes out beyond a shadow of a doubt they are actually a couple that now everyone can’t wait to report they have broken up, etc. It’s sad that so many people are only interested in selling their magazines or whatever else and have no concern about them as people—like we do. LOL
Also, about jj and info and pictures of him. Doesn’t he have his own personal site? Isn’t he an actor or something? When I type JustJared in my yahoo search several sites come up about him and one has info just on him. Also, after the Teen Choice awards both Vanessa and Zac made it a point to go speak to him and congratulate him on his site and express good luck to it. That’s when they posed for the JustJared buttons. SO, they must trust him and like what he does. Wise of jj since that would allow him the ability to get better pictures of them at times. In the one video where Vanessa and Zac are arriving at the Frederick’s charity event you can see that whoever the guy is rushing up behind Zac and placing his hand on Zac’s shoulder and asking for a picture is accepted without problem by Zac. So, they don’t seem to mind some pictures taken of them.
Lastly, I enjoyed reading how the were so intimate with each other at the charity event and how obvious it is that Zac likes protecting his lady and that they are very supportive of each other. I remember how someone from the set of HSM2 said Zac is at Vanessa’s whim—sounds like a typical young man in love to me!

I’ve heard that if “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” is successful (which I don’t know why it wouldn’t be) the plan is to continue the francise with Shia taking the reins. Vanessa was wearing his ring at the event Fredrick’s of Hollywood charity event. She may have had something happen to hers could have been damaged. She went to his house on Sunday the 28th. She was still wearing the ring weather her’s or his couldn’t tell for sure. These pictures on Zac on the 26th. Then he went to the grocery.
