What kina of role model is he. Riding a skateboard without a helmet. One of my good friends brother is in the hospital because he wasn’t wearing a helmet. Now he is on life support and will have brain damage for the rest of his life. So I think Zac should go buy himself a helmet instead of a smoothie.

Good point, Narf, that had never occurred to me about Troy. I realize this was not a big budget production but you would think there would be someone to catch continuity gaffes like that. Because that’s kind of a biggie. But then the whole scheme to get to callbacks was farfetched and they probably figured the intended audience wouldn’t be thinking about those kind of details. Speaking of behind the scenes…have any of you seen the “You are the music in me” rehearsals? Zac talks about how he loves the phrase, “you are the music in me” and how he thinks it means you are the life, the fun…(then pauses as if he’s not sure what he should say) the music in me. I like to think he was going to say “love” but changed his mind. I’m such a dreamer. LOL

I thought it was an insight on his feelings for her (or maybe I’m just reaching lol) considering how he’s looking at her at the beginning of that song. :-D Just too cute

Oh the stories I could tell about how much sleep I have missed over the last several years. For the past 18 years I have mostly worked nights and believe me when I had a day off I went back to a day man’s world. That meant I would miss days of sleep over a year’s time. So after nearly 2 decades it has done a number on me. I don’t advise anyone missing their sleep too often as the past 2 years have not been good to me heatlh-wise. If I would have known 10 years ago what I know now I would have done things differently but I never wanted to miss out on anything. LOL

This could be a good part of the story line with them having to deal with leaving each other.

About the lady in pink…do you think it might be a real estate lady? I hate to even really mention this but because you know how some people can get but that’s the first thing I felt in my gut. I know that Zac and Vanessa are with each other a lot but…
Maybe that is why they have been seen out TOGETHER so much the past couple weeks. I’m sure they know if they get a place together it won’t be a secret for long. Also, I think if they did get a place together they would try to find a place where they could have a little more privacy to their comings and goings.

I was also going to mention in my last post that maybe Zac has been so happy lately because the final details of HSM3 were at hand and he knew that would start filming soon too. Then agian, if he and Vanessa have something up their sleeve maybe THAT is why he is happy.

If she is looking at real estate, then I think Zac very well could be trying to distract the paps.

I think this is the same version that Kenny Ortega had Zac and Vanessa watch so they could see how a young couple could exude passion, angst, and desperate hunger for a forbidden love on-screen. But Zac and Vanessa’s puppy love magic didn’t seem like an act. It’s as though their feelings came through all on its own.

I think that IS Zac’s ring ont that leather strap. How did it get there? I think it would be rather simple to slice that leather and work the ring on there. If the leather is thick and tough enough it probably molded back into place strongly enough for the ring to stay put. He may have done something to assure it would stay put. He has it cloe to his body. I also think the little scamp it playing us and is having a good time doing it. That smirk on his face which he has had all day almost says, “It’s right under your noses, it’s isn plain sight! LOL

Now about the ring: On my computer here at home it does not show up very well. You can’t swear that it is a ring—I guess that is why so many last night wasn’t sure it was a ring and some were. However, at work last ngith they have a diffent computer and it has a whole different type screen and it definitely was a silver band that is on that leather strap just below where the little nike checkmark is. It is on his backpack. I would never have said it was a ring if I wasn’t able to see it clearly and I couldn’t see it clearly on my computer. I don’t know what other ring it would be. You might try looking at the pictures on the preceeding thread because that is where all the talk started about it. If I recall they said something about #4.

Have to say I’m liking the subtle bit of stubble in picture number 3 that’s a sure sign that our Zac (ifonly) is growing up and into a even hotter man since we first saw him in HSM

I think it’s great that the cast do still see each other outside of making the films and that the one who play’sTroy’s father is’nt bad on the eye eitherin fact he’s quite fit too.

Not sure if I can see his ring on his backpack though, bit of a risky place to have it, but if it is maybe it’s his way of keeping Vanessa close to him when they’re apart,as I would imagaine it has a lot of meaning to him so I can’t see him not liking not wearing it, good to see Vanesssa still has her’s on and that they both look happy in the photo’s.

I can understand why he would’nt wear it going to the gym although he has in the past, but then again he could have took it off while at the gym and just put it back on before he came out.

But Zac did’nt wear it to the fashion show so if it is on his backpack surely he would have taken it off and put it on I would have thought anyway.

Still I’m sure we’ll see it back on his finger soon.

Second, I’m not judging anyone, it’s just frustrating that soooo much airtime is spent on the speculation of their togetherness or not.

As for establishing themselves, they should do it more through their artistic efforts, which Zac is trying to do and not their leisure activities. I know that agents and publicists need to keep their faces in the public eye, but this is ridiculous.

I feel sorry for them in that their every move is chronicled. We’ve seen what this kind of “in your face” coverage does to young actors/actresses. It would push even the most seasoned actor over the edge. I can just imagine what it’s doing to their psyche.

Maybe we should all take a step back, let them work at what they love and see what develops from there.
This constant ring issue is enough to drive anyone apart. They’re young, and have a whole lifetime ahead of themselves…together or apart.

It just leaves a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths.Maybe I’m just a little more jaded than the rest of you because I’m older and have seen this before. This kind of publicity does not usually end up pretty. It makes people resent the star they used to admire.

That old phrase “absence makes the heart grow fonder” goes for celebrity watching also. When you don’t see them so much, you miss them more.

Genie, #352, just wanted to respond…I’m glad I read further to see your other post. I get what you’re saying about them having too much exposure and I do hope it doesn’t hurt their careers and lives. I think they really are trying to focus on their artistic endeavors.

Just wanted to say that I and others of us here very much realize the things happening in the world that you pointed out. I have worked with those facing cancer, AIDS, addiction, and the aftermath of sexual assault. Truly, not everyone is oblivious and shallow…and we’re not all young’ins. As Go Sox said, we are supporting these two healthy young people, who, as Go Sox and Troy have also pointed out, have done their share of helping with charities/important issues (e.g., pediatric AIDS, pediatric cancer patients, etc.), which is great for persons their age. So, we’re just supporting them and enjoying the love and happiness they exude, particularly when some of us are dealing with some of the darker aspects of life in our day to day.

I just read comments of Zac in Perez Hilton and D-Listed, and 90% of them were about how “gay” Zac Efron is. (gayer than a bag full of rainbows, couldn’t be gayer if he had a d**k in his mouth, etc.).
I wasn’t a fan of Zac before but he kinda grew on me and now I love him, and I’m glad to see there’s people who love him also and who don’t feel the need to focus on his sexual life (wheter he’s gay or straight).
The fact that he has a girlfriend doesn’t necessarily means that he’s straight (he could be a closet case or in denial), but the fact that he looks a little bit girlie doesn’t mean he’s gay.
There are a lot of rumors about him having a sugar daddy (allegedly a fat, older writer named Dave who lives in the Beverly Hills hotel), but since there are no pictures to prove it I think that it’s just a rumor. If he’s gay he will come out eventually, when he feels ready to do so, and no one has the right to force him out of the closet (IF he is gay). I guess only time will tell. Either way, I love you Zac!!

One thing some people should think about is, if Zac wasn’t so good looking—pretty some would say—he would never get tagged as being gay. If he came across as a rough and tumble kind of guy, without manners, or spoke with constant profanity or in some other questionable way he would never get tagged as gay. BUT because he is polite and mannerly, doesn’t come across with a forward demeanor—and he’s doggone pretty for a male—then he gets stuck with this gay label. It doesn’t help that he is young. It’s not fair and not right. The worst thing about it is he can’t do anything about it. Others who have been in the same boat include John Travolta and Tom Cruise. Both of these men dealt with it for years. Cruise was married to Nicole Kidman and was still hearing it.

Stopping over at your boyfriends/girlfriends house is one thing but moving in together is a bit step and after all they are only 20 and nearly 19, and Zac has said before when asked about the rings being a ‘commitment’ thing that he is to young at this time for that.

They just seem to enjoy being together especially away from the press and who can blame them.

But doe’s Zac live in a house or apartment as some reports say he has a house and some say apartment, just curious.

The main thing is at least they have a place that they can just be together, close the door and do things that anormal couple do and stuff the press, as like with any relactionship little things like that mean a lot just being with the one you love away from preying eye’s, good luck to them

And, though I’m about 6 pages late on this, I loved the discussion of “goofs” in the movies and wanted to say that I love in HSM 2 during the kiss scene how blatantly obvious it was that they threw different kissing takes together (2nd kiss - he’s all smiley, confident from far away and all serious close-up…3rd kiss - her hands are around his neck up close, then he pulls them around his waist from far away and then they’re back around his neck up close again). Makes me happy though…thinking of them having to do so many takes for that scene. LOL.
