Interesting point you bring up - something I’ve also asked myself now and then. I originally wasn’t a fan of either one. I’m actually 35 years old, and only learned about Zac and Vanessa through my kids when HSM came out. Even after I saw HSM1, I didn’t think anything of them - just cute little kids.

I could say that what started drawing me to them was when I saw the pictures from Hawaii for the first time. For some reason, their chemistry through those photos caught my attention, and I just thought, “Wow, what a cute couple!”

However, it wasn’t until I actually sat and listened through one of Zac’s interviews that I realized for a 19-year-old, he is very mature for his age. The way he carries himself, his friendly demeanor, his modesty and integrity really drew me to him. The more I learned about him - from his strict upbringing to the way he excelled in academics - just made me respect him more, especially for being such the young man that he is. He also seems like he’s a lot of fun to hang out with.

Vanessa still seems very young when I watch her interviews. She’s not as polished as Zac is, but then again, I was nothing close to being as mature when I was her age. I’m sure that with time, she will learn to express herself in a more articulate manner. She is very talented, and has such a beautiful voice, and has such a natural, exotic beauty to her. She also seems very spunky, but sweet at the same time. All of these things is what has made me a fan of hers.

I guess it would depend on the way they were to break up. If he were to leave her for another woman the way Brad left Jennifer, then I will definitely not support Zac’s career or vice versa. Believe me, since Brad left Jen, I have not spent one penny towards any of Brad’s movies/projects. I believe the last movie of his that I saw was “Troy”. Since then, I have not seen any of his films. If Zac & Vanessa were to fall in that same category, then consider him or her written off in my book.

However, I know that they are both still very young and have many more life experiences ahead of them, so I am very aware that the likelihood of them staying together is very slim. Believe me, I am one of those who would love to see these two continue their romance for as long as possible, and I am rooting for them, but in reality, I think that eventually they will break up. I just hope that if or when they do, it is for a respectable reason, not because one person chose to hurt the other. If that is the case, then I would continue to support both of them as individuals as much as I support them now as a couple. They’re both very talented people, and my kids and I would certainly look to them for entertainment, whether through their films or music.

Janetan, saying that you don’t like someone it’s not talking bad about that person. If I were saying that she’s ugly, or has no talent, THAT would be talking bad about her.

Although I am a Vanessa fan, I agree with you. You adore an actor because of his/her acting skill and not because of their personal life. Zac Efron proved himself by portraying Link in Hairspray.

I am not saying that Vanessa is not good but she does need to get a challenging role or at least a good role to prove herself. Regarding her voice, I think she has a beautiful voice but there is still more space for improvement.

Exactly. Ryan Gosling was soooo popular with the girls when he did The Notebook, and most men saw him as a cheesy actor. But now everybody respect him as an actor because of his latest movie roles.

However, I think that Zac will have to work extra-hard because he has a pretty-almost feminine looking face, and so it’ll be harder for him to prove himself as an actor instead of just a heartthrob.
Look at Leonardo DiCaprio, he fought so hard to get rid of the Titanic image, and he only accomplished it when he looked more manly.
Maybe that’s what will happen with Zac. That’s why is so important for him to choose carefully his next proyects.

Yes, it is true. Vanessa has signed to play Gabriella in High School Musical 3. Well, she just signed monday so I don’t know how anyone could have known that until yesterday. But whatever, she is officially signed as well as Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale, and Lucas Grabeel. They all came in monday to sign the contracts at Disney Studios, 500 S. Buena Vista Street, Burbank, CA. 91506

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Miley Cyrus signed her contract yesterday in Seattle along with the Disney Entertainment contract for “The Hannah Montana Movie”.

The two have been out a couple of times since the ring went missing. Hers is still on. No one knows why his isn’t. we will never know. He can’t wear it when he’s filming anyway, so get used to it being gone. Has anyone gone on the site from that Alan Baltes. He is the guy who commented on the cast signing on for HSM3. The site is http://www.actinginfo.blogspot.com His pic is on the site and he has a bunch of casting and audtion addresses for Disney shows. I know HSM3 won’t be directly affiliated with the Disney Channel, but this guy is and has audition info on the Disney shows. Is it legit? Who knows, but why would a guy who has a website like this start a rumor.

There are actually some defenders on perez’z last Zac post. You know obviosly his site is not monitored, with all the horrible language on there, so if anyone can say absolutely what they want rumors will spill over. Don’t let them spill here. Perez has actually had death threats against him and his site has been shut down several times, what does that tell you? He’s an idiot and nothing but haters go to his site. Why do people go to Perez Hilton’s site? Because we all have that good vs evil, positive vs negative, sin vs righteousness—whatever you want to call it—inside of us. And some people seem to naturally navigate to the more base and negative aspect inside of their being. Some seem to have a tug of war going on, moving from one side to the other, while still others seem to be more able to go the positive/good/righteous way. People go to this site to let a more base, primitive—almost animalistic nature out. But beware, the more a person is around that the more prominent that aspect becomes. It’s likes cussing. The more you engage in it or the more you are around it, the more those kinds of words come to your mind, especially if your emotions are high. I know people who cannot carry on a simple conversation about the weather without every 3-4 word being a cuss word. What does that really say about a person? What type person would you rather listen to when it comes to advise, someone who can’t express a thought without profanity or someone who seems to have a rational and well thought out idea? That is one reason it is good to to teach a child how to speak intelligently and how to use some restraint. They will be able to judge more clearly in which direction they want to go instead of just running off with the crowd—any kind of crowd and not think for themselves.

Like here, if we start having people who just see how dirty and vulgar they can talk, it isn’t anything about the topic. It’s just let see how vile and crude we can get. We are very lucky to have people on this site who are respectable and able to think, express an idea. We can actually reason with each other and have fun. We are not trying to outdo each other in degenerate ways. It is obvious we are more positive people who understand compassion, injustice, and yes, love. Negativity can never obtain such a high ideal as love. We know when to be serious and why.

I’ve been thinking about this lately, and Zac in college years would be a Soph. I had friends in college who were engaged/married by this time. The rumors about them breaking up are by people who in their alternate reality think they have a chance meeting and falling “in Love” with Zac. In “normal” life they aren’t that young. I keep smiling to myself everytime I read how Zac is so boring because all he ever does is go to the gym, eat, or fill his car up with gas. I think it’s amusing because Zac had said in Rolling Stone how he figured if he stayed boring enough he would be OK. A lot of people may find his life boring but it doesn’t seem to have stopped the paparazzi or fans interest in him!

The same information was late last night or early this morning depending on how you look at it on another site. Then earlier someon sosting under the name “The Real Alan Baltes” left a message earlier today saying it was imposter and he posted no information about contracts being signed.
