Thandie Newton @ ‘Darfur Now’ Screening

On the red carpet, Thandie told reporters, “I think it’s important for everyone to be here, I’m sure if the theatre was the size of Los Angeles it would be full. I think that entertainment and show business is a fantastic way of reaching people. I think there needs to be much more of a sense of responsibility when we use the power of entertainment to affect people’s lives. Really I feel very proud to be an actor and be a member of this community and to be making a small difference.”
