Vanessa Hudgens Back For ‘High School Musical 3′
Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale will reprise their roles in the upcoming feature film of High School Musical 3, according to Us Weekly.
A “substantial increase” in pay will also be given to Vanessa, according to the same source.
“Vanessa is locked for the movie,” a HSM3 says. “She is very happy that the deal is done. The contract will be signed within the next week. It is almost a done deal.”
A close Ashley says of the deal: “It’s done, done, done.”

Anthony, I think you’re being way too harsh on the money issue. If you look at the amount of money Disney has made off of these two actors, I think they’re entirely justified asking for the salaries they deserve!! I would never begrudge these two for asking for whatever they can get….you have to strike while the iron’s hot! Actors never know when their next paycheck will come, so you gotta go for it when you can. They’re young and trying to break into this profession, so give them a break…..
Also, you’re dead wrong in saying they appeal only to teeny-boppers. Hello? Most of us are much older, and just enjoy the fun they bring back to movies. I’m sick of blood, guts, guns, explosions, murder scenes, raw sex, and garbage like that. It has desensitized our society….and disgusting. I, for one, am grateful to see our young kids actually watch something clean and fun, with a message.

Being that it will be a theatrical release it can be a bit juicier and not so bubble gum. Also a movie like 17 may not take long to do, plus it’s only a tentative thing that HSM3 will start in Jan, that can totally change. I thought I read somewhere that Kenny Ortega, who is supposed to sign on as director, will be shooting Cheetah Girls 3 first, so the filming date can still change.
And I think it was Troy a while ago said they filme “Little Miss Sunshine” in a month and that movie was great!

To all you haters who think they can’t act, look at other famous actors at 18 and 19. I don’t think they were worthy of Oscar nominations either when they were young. Good acting comes from years of practice, and lots of different roles. They have a long way to go, but they certainly have the looks and the appeal, and I can only wish them the best!!
I am not fully believeing anything regarding HSM2 until we hear it from the cast themselves or from Disney. I hope this is true though and that the other cast members will be signing their contracts as well.
