I agree with someone there who pointed out that Vanessa has paid the firm what she believed she owed but that the contract as written definitely did exploit her. There is a clause that says that Vanessa would have to pay $50K for each negotiation plus a percentage on top of that which is ridiculous considering some deals could be low earnings to start. For example, Zac only got paid $100K for “Hairpsray”. If Vanessa got into a contract like that, she’d be taking home less than 50% of the paycheck which is, IMO, exploitation, especially of a teenager. The lawyer himself is a bit on the not bright side for having her sign it by herself but yet smart enough to know that no adult, parent or manager, would allow for her to get into such a poor situation. The fact that this lawsuit also came up 2 years later and during her photo scandal is more than fishy. Yes, if the lawyer truly earned that money and the contract didn’t seem to try to take advantage of a 16 year old, I’d say yes, she should pay, but not when you look at the finer details here. Good for Vanessa and her team to stand up to this lawyer, who I’d like to point out seems to be acting on his own accord, not on behalf of his firm which the contract was with.

this case. I read the documents and she definately was underage by
way there is a copy of her birth certicate with her cute little feet
prints and 7.5 lbs as proof. My take is she hired this lawyer when
she first started out then when the HSM fame happened he started

it go. When he filed the suit against her she hired a legit attorney
and he read it and said these are bogus charges and besides you were

have never signed aminoe without her parents consent.
This law suit thing doesn’t seem like it will drag on, there’s no substanance to it. I am so torn since the paps went crazy about Zac and Vanessa for the first time…
I am checking this site like every ten minutes for pics of them and I am really happy when there are actually some posted
BUT nowadays I feel sooo sorry for them! I know they are famous and I guess some of you will think that the paps come with the fame and every celeb should get used to that but they really need some privacy!!!! There are more pics of them doing “private things” than of Brad and all the others… And I think it is really difficult to handle that kind of attention (by the way: they doing a great job in that!!!) I tend to think that I look ok everytime I leave the house BUT there are so many days on which I would rather stay at home than go to work because I feel tired or ill or or or… I consider myself sooo lucky that there are no paps waiting outside my house on days like that!!!!
I totally understand them when they are not smiling in every pic or even try to get away from the paps - I just hope that there are enough moments in which they can at least try to live a “normal” life.

I agree ricarda. That’s why I hate it when people plead/beg/demand Jared for more pics of Zanessa/Zac/Vanessa. It’s like you’re feeding the paparatzi frenzy. I like the pics but when I see all those paparatzi surrounding them, I think it’s too much. Everyday there’s always pics of them doing the same thing, and yet people still want more…even demand for more.
What’s even more laughable is when the fans starts yelling for the paps to leave them alone. And these are the same people moaning, groaning and pleading Jared for more Zanessa/Zac/Vanessa pics. And when there’s no pics, they start panicking that there’s something bad going on with the two. *thud* Why can’t these same people understand that the reason why paparatzi are following them is because of us? We’re the ones demanding Jared for more pics, and that’s like…feeding into the paparatzi frenzy. We are the ones pressuring and paying these people to bother them. (although, I’d be satisfied w/ seeing one or two zanessa pics once a month…which in the past we didn’t even get them for months.)
Anyways, my point to this was…quit your whining and pressuring. Be satisfied w/ what we’re getting. Jared practically post Zac/Van/Zanessa pics everyday. And if we want them to have more private time, then quit it with all those moanings.
I realize that there are a “few” people in this world who do not understand Zac Efron’s appeal. After doing lots of research (which the news media haven’t done), I learned that Zac’s fan base ranges from first graders through baby boomers (that’s people in their 50s and 60s). Why is there such a wide-range of people who support Zac? Here are just a few reasons:
1. His boyish good looks and charm don’t hurt. Not one bit.
2. He’s real. Good solid family. Nothing phony about this guy.
3. He doesn’t care what people think about him. Hey, hey (his laugh).
4. His leisure pursuits are geared toward the outdoors (surfing and skateboarding) and spending time with his girlfriend, not stumbling out of the Viper club drunk or stoned.
5. He respects his girlfriend enough to keep their relationship private. Sorry, no passionate kisses in public to “prove” something. He and Vanessa know where they are, and we respect them for that.
6. He’s seriously pursuing an acting career, not fame, and we’re rooting for him.
7. He’s the guy you’d like to have as a friend.
I could go on and on . . . but Zac fans know . . .

I don’t think it’s really specifically JJ that requests the pics anyway. The paps have a job(a dirty one sometimes) and when they get the pics a bunch of celebrity gossip websites buy them up and poof they go where the money is. There have actually been sightings and other pics that JJ didn’t get or post as well.
Z and V know this is their life right now, maybe eventually it will die down, but really they aren’t followed 24/7. They also have been a lot better about it.

Hey guys! I think they are happy together, too. When you look at the pictures at the halloween shopping they are holding hands and they have a huge smile or like #144, you can see the shopping pics…and they both are so happy there! On one pic of them Zac show his sexy pants, too.

I agree, zvkg. I’m beginning to feel bad for Z and V with the paps following their every move. I’d rather not have pics every day. And I cringe when I see the comments, “More Zanesssa,JJ PLEASE . . . MORE Zanessa.” Especially when JJ has just posted a picture of them together. But I think those are from the tweenies, and that’s to be expected of them. In their young minds they need validation by the minute that Z and V are still a couple.

I know, Malia..and that’s what’s sad about it. When I see that, I feel like pulling my hair in frustration. These two are private people, and for those papz to get up to their faces and take those photos must leave a bad taste in their mouth. Is it any wonder why they don’t smile most of the time? I not naive, not to believe that they must enjoy some of these attentions, but my gawd…for those photographers to be in their faces 24/7. It takes a toll on you, especially when there’s days where you just don’t want to deal with them. I actually applaud them for taking them in stride. They’re both handling it very well.

I would like to make a comment that is not really relevant to this post but I have been wanting to say this for a long time now. When I first heard the soundtrack for Hairspray I told my husband “I guess they made Zac take singing lessons because his voice sounds so much better than in HSM”. Then shortly after that I heard Vanessa say in an interview that one of her favorite tracts from HSM2 was “Bet On It because Zac sang all his vocals” then I was confused. Soon after that I heard Zac say that they blended his voice with someone else’s voice in HSM because the music was made before they had cast him so it was not done in his range and I thought to myself that really sucks he sings so much better than that other guy. I must say that’s when I became his fan then I started searching for him on the web for my own interest not just for my daughters. Thank you for reading I just wanted to get that off my chest.

#212 - I love his voice too and kind of wish we could hear Zac’s recording of the HSM 1 songs…his voice just has more raw emotion to it or something…Drew, who they mostly used in HSM 1 has a decent voice but it’s more of a syrupy pop voice or something. I read, if it helps any, that Zac sings the first few lines and last few lines of Something New and Breaking Free and his little bit there on the balcony. And, if you listen closely, I think you can hear him do some random lines in others, but it’s mostly Drew sadly. But you can definitely tell the difference when they change between the voices…well, now that I know at least, it seems obvious. I love his Hairspray and HSM2 songs.
