Angelina Jolie @ Good Morning America
Angelina Jolie and costar Anthony Hopkins discuss their groundbreaking new movie Beowulf on Monday’s Good Morning America.
Watch a 5-minute clip of Angie and Anthony’s interview with GMA here. Notable quote from Angie:
Your family’s so rich with different cultures, do you try to embrace them on a holiday like Thanksgiving? We do. We celebrate Moon Festival for my boys [Maddox and Pax], who are from Asia and Kwanzaa [for daughter Zahara] and things like that. We certainly try to celebrate as many of those as we can and bring in all cultures.

Angie looks so beautiful and very happy. Every time when she talks about Brad, she has that content happiness smile on her face. I am jealous of her. Brad must make her very happy.
The last pic is when the guy told her there would be an extra seat at the table. LOL She was probably thinking “****, not another kid.” But it was just for Hilary Clinton.
koKo, maybe she’s talking about other family members, ya know, like Aunts and uncles? I think her mother has siblings and other family members. Jeeze Louis, the woman can’t say a damn thing without it being picked apart!
Oh a little more about Kwanzaa…
“Kwanzaa was created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga, professor, Department of Black Studies at California State University, Long Beach, author and scholar-activist who stresses the indispensable need to preserve, continually revitalize and promote African American culture.”

47 koko : what wrong with what she said, nothing, nada, quit making mountain out of mole hill.
Mr and Mrs. Smith, my daddy got tired of that family crap and left. But he was a good dad to me and when he died, I buried him with dignity as all WWII veterans should be.
And Brad will get tired of that family crap and leave too…and move to Europe (like Johnny Depp) and hook up with some Euro Trash.
But he will still be a loving father. You can still be a good dad and not be with the mom.
I am still on pregnancy train. When Chris said she probably need to add one more for this Thanksgiving, she was kind of panic or nervous somehow.
Whoah that little blurb about a mother doing anything to protect her son if anyone tried to destroy him was intense.Spoken like a true mother if I might say so myself. Mess with the cubs, you get the tiger.I wonder if the papparazzi reads the interviews of their prey?
Looks like a good movie.
Angie looks good in the interview. She looks happy and very self assured. I think she has the pregnant glow about her and I agree, she became very uncomfortable when he asked her about another seat at the table for Thanksgiving. What was that about anyway? Is she really related to Hillary Clinton? Some of these questions the reporters ask baffles me big time. What does that have to do with anything reguarding this movie?
Who is the guy in Beowulf? He is smokin hot.Obviously the one her character is seducing.Does she get him?

But Zahara is African-American. After all, she’s originally from Ethiopia, which is in Africa, AND she’s now an American citizen. SO, them celebrating Kwanzaa is just right. Oh, by the way, before you get insulted, I’m African-American too.
I find it funny that everything Angie says in dissected by these trolls. She is judge by a higher standard than even President George Bush. Angie is blamed and criticized for everything, leave the woman alone. She is living and enjoying her life with her man and kids. Get a life trolls!!!!!
Ah Brad costarred with Anthony in Legends of the Fall now Angie costars with Anthony in this movie. So cool, Anthony is a great actor.
koko :SO WHAT?
Mr and Mrs. Smith, I’m not insulted by you. Only bored.
I was just at Usweekly and again they are taking sides and badmouthing Angie saying “Angie Snap” when asked about the W-Covers.
These writers are not giving this lady and break. Angie is right all these garbage in the weeklys do say a lot so why should she make a comment on that.
As for celebrating Kwanzaa it is the perfect holiday for any African American like me “Born in North Carolina raised in Sierra Leone”
Thats right The Sierra Leone.
I have so much respect for this family and especially Angie because it takes a good wife thats right a good wife to raise good children and keep your family going no matter what.

Her family just doesn’t consist of Brad. The good thing about the holiday season is that everyone gets to make their favorite dishes, things that you might not ordinarily have. So maybe Brad contributes something, her brother, Brad’s brother, Brad’s sister and I’m sure everyone is asking his mother for their favorite dishes that are usually served doing the holiday season. Maybe they do have a cook but when you look at her answer I don’t see how it is a lie if everyone contributes just like in every other family during the hoiliday season. You are really reaching, you want something to complain about, something to point and say hey look at this and the funny this is Angie would be and has been the first to say she is far from perfect.

Mr and Mrs. Smith, my daddy got tired of that family **** and left.
And Brad will get tired of that family **** and leave too…

FINALLY, we do get where you’re coming from. You’re projecting your life and upbringing and the fact that your daddy DID get tired of playing family and left. Oh geez, when will you people just give it up? Angie and Brad are NOT your father and mother. Brad is NOTHING like your father, not now, not ever. For an AA, you sure are …..
58 MR. AND MRS.SMITH :thanks well said.

Why the hell did those reporters ask that stupid question? I love Angie’s answer “Why would I comment on that?” Exactly.

I like her answer of “that matters because?”

Well, just remember what the guy from Hollywood elsewhere said. It is sooo true.
I like Angelina. She’s nice, very professional, and has a slightly goofy sense of humour. Last time I met her was November 2005, when she was doing the acting bit of Beowulf. Even then, it had already been reported in the papers that she had closed down production on Beowulf by walking off the set after a fight with Ray Winstone - two weeks before her first day on set. I realised that where she was concerned the press were happy to simply make up stuff that sounded credible. It didn’t need have to have any basis at all in reality.
It was obvious during the press conference that a large contingent of the press just wanted to talk to her and talk about her private life, something she declined to do and handled with grace and aplomb.
I just loved that look of impishness on Angie’s face when she was told that there will be an extra seat in their dining table on Thanksgiving. :-) She just sat there with that long (could be fitting)”pregnant” pause , until the interviewer says….Hillary Clinton. hahaha
Why would this dumb interviewer ask Anthony Hopkins about thanksgiving when he is british?? Stupid!
all i could hear coming out of this tramps mouth was blah blah blah blah blah……
58 Mr and Mrs Smith
You took words out of my mouth and I am African American too.
65 Mr and Mrs Smith
You go girl!
the thing about the jenn and angie has been over for three years, jenn has already had vince v.and paul s.and who ever else, angie has just had brad there is nothing between angie and jenn, she jenn is long gone the tabloids dig up old news to make money.brad and angie and family have their life ,it has nothing to do with jenn.everyone now say the new jenn is jennifer g. married to ben a.
Re the Kwanzaa celebration. Z will be raised American (her parents are)and surely will have a connection to African Americans so why would’nt the family celebrate Kwanzaa? It’s also very smart because I’m not sure how Brad & Angelina are handling their children’s spritual eduacation (it’s none of my business nor anyone else’s) but Ethiopia has Muslims, Christians (second oldest in the world)and Jews (who have been immigrating en masse to Israel since the 80’s.) Kwanzaa is a nondenomiational celebration which makes it open to just about anyone who wants to celebrate it. It also gives Z a connection to African American community.
