Angelina Jolie Wigs Out
Angelina Jolie walks to her trailer and rests up on the set of her upcoming police corruption drama The Changeling in Los Angeles on Monday.
Ms. Jolie, 32, wore a wig with a retro hairstyle.
In the film, Angelina plays a mother whose prayer for her kidnapped son to return home is answered, though it doesn’t take long for her to suspect the boy who comes back is not hers.

Angelina does look a little thin but she will gain during the holidays. Didn’t someone mention that concractually she can’t really gain any weight while flming this movie? It’s funny but in the past I rarely remember Angelina wearing skirts that show her legs. Even in photoshoots. She’s been showing a lot of leg the past few years.

I’m not Okra fan, but her school is NOT for the rich white South Africans. Whatever poor country you’re from, most black South Africans are just as bad off or worse than people in your country are. I can’t begrudge her spending $40MIL of her own money to educate poor black girls in South Africa. Frankly some of the other African countries like the infrastructure to even build a private school like Okra’s, so any little bit helps and why not start with the easiest countries first and then work her way toward the worst case scenarios.

I know I’m going to get jumped all over for saying this but something looks really wrong with Angie lately. She’s gone beyond thin. This morning in that interview with Anthony H he looks all pink and healthy and she looks gaunt and grey. No matter how she looks people just say how beautiful she looks. No criticism allowed even if it is clear to all that her color is awful. She is beautiful, no question. But she doesn’t look healthy at all. I care about her and maybe she’s working too hard but I’ve never seen her look so wrung out and cheeks sunken in.
She must not want to gain weight or she would do it. Even people with fast metabolism can gain weight if they add plenty of carbs to their diet. Works every time. Even adding bread and butter to each meal will do it. She said she didn’t want to be skinny so why doesnt she do something about it? I don’t want to even think that she’s sick with something they are not telling us but something is very wrong. The only thing that gives me hope that it is not something too serious is that she can still be so active and working all the time.
But yell all you want for me saying it–just compare her color to Anthony’s and tell me it looks healthy.

I completely agree with you. Women can be the most vicious against other women. I call them out as often as I can.
On Oprah’s school. It strikes me as a monument to her ego. You do not need to build some finishing school for a small number of “elite” girls to educate them and enable them to be independent and contribute to their country. I wonder if she isn’t just creating a class of princesses. Next she’ll be buying them all their own Manolo Blahniks. $40 million is a lot of money and should be educating more than her small numbers. Oprah is too often all about show and frivolous excess.
I also like the way she has already onvicted the accused in her TV talk. That troubles me and it is unwise of her to even talk about it at this stage of the proceedings. These type of accusations are oft times exaggerated or fabricated.
I don’t care what the haters/troll says, I think she’s gorgeous.

Especially since the feds moved heaven and earth to go after him and all they ended up with was a mere misdemeanor possession of coke. The losing prosecutor on the case was rewarded with a judgeship. Marion was probably the first person in D.C. to go to jail for the maximum possible penalty - 6 months in jail - for a first time offense of possession.
Anyway, Marion was a good mayor in many ways. He was and is a very smart and caring person. He just had his excesses and his pleasures. We’re still fond of him. He’s on the city council. And the feds won’t stop trying to screw with him in every way they can.

It isn’t just the skinny arms and legs. That does not bother me. It’s her sunken cheeks and grey cast to her skin. I saw some other pictures like that and thought it was just bad lighting but today comparing her to Hopkins it was apparent she has no color. Just green-grey cast to her skin, while his was pink and healthy. So it wasn’t bad lighting on the set.

She must not want to gain weight or she would do it. Even people with fast metabolism can gain weight if they add plenty of carbs to their diet. Works every time. Even adding bread and butter to each meal will do it. She said she didn’t want to be skinny so why doesnt she do something about it?

I wouldn’t be surprised if lost weight for her role in the Changeling. Her character is supposed to be put away in an asylum for causing a ruckus over her son not being her son. They’ve already shot scenes where she has dark circles under her eyes and i think she’s supposed to look stressed out and malnourished then. I’ve got a friend who can eat grown men twice her size under the table. She’s 5′8″, weighs about 125 and she’s 50 years old. B#tch really frost my shorts. She NEVER gains weight. She’s got 2 kids and said she gained 25-30 pounds with each kid and lost it all within 6 weeks of giving birth because of breastfeeding. The fact is some people just have crazy metabolisms and it’s really hard for them gain weight. I’m prolly going to hell…but I keep wishing my friend would develop a thyroid problem like so many women in their 50s do! LOL! There’s a reason why the Beowulf tale has endured for centuries and is taught in virtually every high school. It’s hard to mess up a great story, but there were doubts about director Robert Zemeckis’ feature film adaptation involving realistic CG human characters. I was admittedly among the doubters, until I saw it Saturday night at the Universal City IMAX. It’s a thoroughly engrossing and thrilling achievement, and everyone who worked on it should be very proud.
From the monster Grendel’s first attack on King Hrothgar’s mead hall, it’s clear that this is not The Polar Express. Beowulf is bloody, bawdy, cheeky, sexy and generally cool. The year is 518 A.D. and the title character has come to the Danish kingdom of Herot to rid it of its demon. Boastful, cocksure and overly macho, he comes off at first like a close cousin of the Gerard Butler character in 300, but eventually proves to be a deeply flawed hero more akin to the subjects of Greek tragedies. The screenplay by Neil Gaiman (Coraline, MirrorMask) and Roger Avery (Pulp Fiction) takes some liberties with the original tale and weaves a smart and tangled web that suggests that the epic poem passed down through the oral tradition was only half of the story.
Visually, the film is a feast for the eyes, especially in IMAX 3D. The detail in the computer-generated models is astonishing and the characters feel very real once you stop scrutinizing them and become absorbed in the story. The “uncanny valley” hasn’t been completely bridged, but it is growing narrower. There is still some vacancy in the eyes at times, but that’s an issue that may never be resolved since the eyes are said to be the windows of the soul, and computer-generated people don’t have souls. Not yet, anyway.
I’ve often questioned the logic of going through the trouble of making realistic CG humans when you can simply photograph real actors, but it makes sense with this particular project because it’s important that the humans and the monsters look like they belong in the same world. Audiences have seen so much CG animation in live-action films now that even the best examples can come off feeling artificial next to actors and photographed environments. The creatures in Beowulf are not visual effects, but characters equally as real as their homosapien counterparts. And, yes, Angelina Jolie is one hot arrangement of pixels here. There’s plenty of bare Beowulf skin for the other set as well.
The movie was made using Sony Pictures Imageworks’ proprietary system of capturing actors’ performances and applying them to computer models. Zemeckis doesn’t consider the technique to be animation, but I doubt there’s a single frame in the film that wasn’t touched by an animator. It’s a shame the film probably won’t be qualified to compete for Best Animated Feature at this year’s Academy Awards because most people will see it as animation. On the other hand, it might not be fair to lump it in with films involving performances that are completely animator-driven. As it stands, Beowulf is in a category of its own and the Academy doesn’t know what to do with it. But it may be forced to come up with something, especially if it proves to be a major box-office hit.
Beowulf succeeds in delivering where most of the summer “event” films have failed this year. It’s solid entertainment with a gripping story and complex characters that aren’t off-the-shelf clichés. It’s not a perfect movie, and one that is sure to have its critics, but I think it’s one of the year’s biggest surprises and deserves to be seen by a lot of people. I’m sure it holds up in standard projection, but do yourself a favor and drive the extra distance to an IMAX theater and see it in 3D.

There’s a reason why the Beowulf tale has endured for centuries and is taught in virtually every high school. It’s hard to mess up a great story, but there were doubts about director Robert Zemeckis’ feature film adaptation involving realistic CG human characters. I was admittedly among the doubters, until I saw it Saturday night at the Universal City IMAX. It’s a thoroughly engrossing and thrilling achievement, and everyone who worked on it should be very proud.
From the monster Grendel’s first attack on King Hrothgar’s mead hall, it’s clear that this is not The Polar Express. Beowulf is bloody, bawdy, cheeky, sexy and generally cool. The year is 518 A.D. and the title character has come to the Danish kingdom of Herot to rid it of its demon. Boastful, cocksure and overly macho, he comes off at first like a close cousin of the Gerard Butler character in 300, but eventually proves to be a deeply flawed hero more akin to the subjects of Greek tragedies.
