“Adopt Me, Angelina” T-Shirt Signing
ANGELINA JOLIE IS AWESOME. Check out the video below from yesterday’s Beowulf premiere.
Angie spots one crazed female fan wearing an “ADOPT ME, ANGELINA” t-shirt and laughs. She proceeds to walk over the barricade, tells all the screaming fans to simmer down and totally immerses herself with them.
Ms. Jolie took the time to take pictures with her fans and sign autographs. The absolute best part of the video is when Angie puts one hand up on the girl with the “ADOPT ME, ANGELINA” t-shirt and autographs the shirt. SO AWESOME!!!!!!

Jolie enjoys stepping from mom role into dark ‘Beowulf’ realm

LOS ANGELES — Even as a girl, Angelina Jolie showed little interest in princesses and fairies. Macabre stories are what captivated her back then, and continue to influence her film choices today.
“I liked Vlad the Impaler,” the actress recalled at Monday night’s Beowulf premiere. “I had probably every book on him.”
In Jolie’s new film, a retelling of the Beowulf myth (in theaters Nov. 16), her image is digitally transformed into the seductive, demonic mother of the grossly deformed beast Grendel (an unrecognizable Crispin Glover).
Bundled up in an Escada camel-colored coat with matching Christian Louboutin heels and Harry Winston diamond earrings, the actress, 32, began her walk down the red carpet by first passing under a towering, smoke-emitting, medieval stone castle.

Her four children, Jolie said, have yet to inherit mom’s macabre interests. “We’re still very young in my house,” she said. “We’ve been into dinosaurs, and now we’re crossing over into dragons and knights and things.”
Though a dragon wreaks havoc in Beowulf, her kids will not be viewing its fire-breathing destruction anytime soon. “They don’t watch my movies,” she said. “Your own kids don’t find you very cool.”
Malkovich and Jolie spent the earlier part of their day shooting a scene in a Pasadena church for their next collaboration, 2008’s The Changeling. Set in 1928, it tells the true tale of a woman whose son is kidnapped, with the LAPD returning another child in his place.
For Jolie, no subject is more horrifying.
“As a mom, the kidnapping of a child is the last thing I want to think about,” she said. “It’s very emotional. Every day I’m crying. I don’t know who’s going to want to see me crying in every scene.”

In a couple of the pictures Oliver Stone is looking at her with pure joy in his eyes. He seems to like her. But who can blame him. Even he said it was difficult for to gain weight and keep it on. Same thing Robert DeNiro said. Apparently the men don’t care if she is skinny. They look at the total package, not her legs, or arms. They look at everything she brings: intelligence, beauty,dedication to her children, and man, her humanitarian work, and her fearlessness, learning to fly. An intelligent man knows he would never be bored with her. She would stimulate him in so many different ways: physically, mentally, creativeally, intellectually, and spiritually. Plus she is always learning new things. She will never be stagnant or dull. That is her appeal. Not the size of her legs, or arms. That is shallow thinking. And one thing she is not, is shallow. Peace.

High Commissioner António Guterres will be in New York tomorrow, where he and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie are to receive the International Rescue Committee’s annual Freedom Award for 2007. The International Rescue Committee first bestowed the Freedom Award for extraordinary contributions to the cause of refugees and human freedom to Willy Brandt in 1957. Other IRC Freedom Award winners include Winston Churchill (1958); George Soros (1993); Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (1995); Sadako Ogata (1995); Vaclav Havel (2003); and former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton (2006). The IRC has for many years been UNHCR’s largest NGO partner.

Our country and resettlement directors have all been invited and many will come to New York for this special event launching our 75th year of bringing people from harm to home in over 25 countries around the world.
The Voices of Uganda - Voices of Uganda is a collaboration between young people living in war-torn northern Uganda and the theatre program Voices in Harmony. Together, they write and perform plays based on the experiences of the young people who have been displaced by the 21-year rebel war. The IRC and International Medical Corps provided the critical field support to help bring these vital Uganda youth voices to the forefront. Liv Ullmann and Melissa Fitzgerald and her colleagues from The West Wing, will present several monologues based on interviews with survivors of the war in northern Uganda. Ms. Fitzgerald spent time with IRC staff in Uganda for this project.

Thanks JJ. I think the still photos don’t do her justice. This video takes us to understand what was really going on at the scene. Brad and Angie were whispering sweet nothings and joking with each other before the T-shirt lady caught her attention. But none of the smiles from Brad will show up on the tab covers for sure. Love Angie’s attention to her fans. I am so jealous.
