OlderJessica Simpson: I’m Excited About My Country Album
Jessica Simpson signs a few autographs outside her downtown hotel in New York City on Tuesday afternoon before leaving in an airport-bound car.
Jessica, 27, recently expressed her excitement about making a new country album while at her Macy’s event: “I can’t wait to share my heart with the world. The fun, the good, the bad, the happy, the sad. You know, I’m comfortable letting people in now. I’m in a really good place.”
The Major Movie Star star even shot a new commercial for acne treatment system Proactiv while she was in town. Here’s one fan’s account: “Hey there! Just a fan - wanted to report that me (along with 30 other girls) were at the ProActiv commercial shoot and it was amazing! Jessica was so down to earth - at first, they didn’t seem like they’d allow us to take pictures with her but she was sooo incredibly sweet and took pictures with each and every one of us - she made sure that everyone got at least one. I got a normal picture + a goofy one - she was taking pictures in goofy poses with people too. It was incredible - she talked to everyone as much as she could; meeting her just reaffirmed what I already knew - she’s wonderful.”

Oh great. Now she’s got another bunch of things to ruin.
Jessica may be excited for her country CD, but no one else is!! The only reason she’s jumping ship from pop to country is because her last CD bombed. Plus in all her appearances for the CD, she had either “Laryngitis” or sang horribly. She’s trying to stay relevant as a singer, but the problem is, she’s not relevant anymore PERIOD.
I seriously doubt the country community is going to accept her as she never started out country, she started out Christian and then pop. Just because she was born and raised in Texas does not give her the credibility to sing country and be country, no matter how Papa Joe spins it! She cannot compete with countrys current darling, Carrie Underwood, NO WAY! She only wishes she had that kind of talent. Maybe after this, and her movies fail, she will disappear. I can only hope!!!!
Jessica is a manufactured commodity. They tried to mold her into another Britney now they’ll try to mold her into another Carrie Underwood because country music and artists like Carrie are the only ones making money right now. Not going to happen. Carrie is extraordinarily talented and proved this through the American Idol process. Do you think Jessica could get through AI…doubt it. If jessica were so passionate about country music she wouldn’t have put out the shiteous Public Affair. I’ve never cared for Jessica…don’t wish her any malcontent…but I do wish she would go away.
what ******* album, this troll cannot sing or dance and all she does is run around getting her lips plumped and wearing designer clothes. no wonder other countries hate america, how in the world can you make your own people famous for having no talent just walking around with plastic surgery, thats all now angelina thats talent at least she has a purpose and can act. She looks great, love her coat, boots, and bag. She dances pretty good. That video ‘Public Affair’, she showed some of her dancing talents. She did the split. That’s no easy feat, I must say. She can sing as well, but she needs to grow up and take control of her own career. She needs her OWN CREATIVE CONTROL OVER HER CAREER, OTHERWISE SHE WILL NEVER BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY BY ANYONE.
She should stick to singing at backwater gigs and Seaworld like she used to and leave country singing to real artists like Carrie Underwood, Reba Mcintire and Shania.

Oh Jessica..I can’t wait to hear songs written truly from your heart too! Im still amazed that she managed to find “The Wreckers” album which according to her, all songs represented everything that happened in her life at that moment..Most of the songs are so sad..I even cried at one song cos I knew it was about Nick Lachey! Whatever it is, the past is past and I know the sweet memories of Newlyweds are forever in her mind even though she divorced him. I can’t wait for her next album..
I remember reading an article in 2004, she said she couldn’t choose to be who she wanted to be as an artist when she first came out. Her record label forced her to dance and perform like Britney Spears but deep in her heart, she preferred to be like Jewel. I’m glad she has grown and become more mature now, and able to make better decision in her life. Making a country record is definitely a wiser choice than staying to be a bubblegum pop artist. I do like Jessica but I didn’t buy her Public Affair cd because I don’t enjoy too much pop music.
