Thandie’s Adorable Daughters
Thandie Newton walks hand-in-hand with oldest daughter Ripley, 7, and director husband Ol Parker at LAX Tom Bradley Interntional Terminal on Tuesday. Youngest daughter, Nico, 2 1/2, was carried by a nanny.
Thandie turned 35 yesterday and of course celebrated with her husband and kids! HAPPY BDAY, THANDIE!
Note: Ol has two earrings on his left ear.

Just curious..how come they baby is blond?..

The photos are very normal and the kids are adorable. The couple, Thandie and husband look to be very much in love. The blonde afro is not so unique. Many kids of color have very light or blonde hair when they are young just like white kids. The color may change as she grows, but it may not. As far as a needing to use a brush for the baby’s afro, Black people with Afros or natural hair use brushes and combs. I have seen dredlocks better kept than the baby’s fro, but I guess it’s a matter of choice. Some parents think its adorable to let the kids hair grow kind of crazy…I did the same thing with my little boy! Looking back at those photos, I have to say: WHAT WAS I THINKING? I think my husband and I were so in love with him and his fiesty personality, that the rather wild hairdo just FIT!

jazzie iam a black woman and i wear a afro always have and always will. no weave or blonde hair for me. my hair is a reddish brown and i want to school you on black hair, no one combs a afro , i use a afro pick , not a comb or a brush, that would defeat the whole purpose of a fro. i use a blowout pick and i get hella compliments on my big beautiful fro. i am so proud because that is one thing no other persons cant copy off of. because if your hair is not that texture, no fro for you honey. a lot of races copy other races, black women (some) not all wear blue contacts and str8 hair texture, white women put collagen in their lips to plump them and some wear butt pads or get booty shots to give them a big behind. i am so glad im happy with my self and have sense to realize god gave each race difference beauty assets and it looks cheap and fake when you copy. be yourself!
so true….. get over hair texture… everybody knows whites and blacks have different hair textures just like different skin color and lips and butts and body shapes. who gives a damn! get off into how to make this world a better place and stop stereotyping people who are from different races and cultures than you. blacks love their assets and whites love theirs , so neither have to meet but when they do interact with the mix race dating and having kids, more power to them ,learn how to comb the kids hair, its not that damn hard. doesnt take a rocket scientist for that.

Okay - i’m trying to analyze the above statement posted by another person; okay - just help me to understand… “a society where straight blonde hair is the vision of beauty,” HOW does this affect nico or anyone else for that matter? She does NOT have straight blonde hair, but CURLY blonde hair. So what!! Why do you think she is not learning to appreciate her hair right now? I’m confused because I’m wondering how you can even assume they do not appreciate their hair. I guess you are just stating your opinion; now i’ve got an opinion; THEY APPRECIATE THEIR HAIR, so much so that they allow their beautiful, natural curls to just BE. Maybe - just maybe it is YOU who do not appreciate their hair.
I think the people freaking out about the girls hair need to chill… if that’s the natural texture why should they have to ‘manage’ it… it’s fine and looks good the way it is… If you have hair texture like that it doesn’t always have to look straight… get a life… It’s funny how the people saying that probably have the exact same hair texture… learn to love what you were born with… and if you can’t, don’t critize other people for being okay with it

Look up on the National Geographic website Solomon Islanders or certain Australian aboriginal groups. Their kids are born with blond or reddish colored hair.These people haven’t intermarried at all, and they just happen to have hair that color.
My daughter is Eurasian with very fair brown hair with blond highlights.I also know of 1/4 Eurasian kids with blond hair, 2 girls having blond curls.
