You just know that the comments are going to start that becuase we have’nt seen Zac and Vanessa together in public for a day that trouble is brewing, this and becuase Vanessa is out on her own not looking happy again there’s trouble.

And of course putting the picture’s up of Zac and Nikki again is going to start some people off.

I have to admit I am curious why are the picture’s of Hairspray up at the same time and same page as Vanessa. Was it something to do with the video she rented? I’m just curious and off course as to why Zac was’nt with her, we’ve not seen Vanessa out on her own of a night for a while,oh well.

Vanessa looks tired and seems to be taking fashion advise from the waify Olsen twins these days.
As for Nikki… yikes, why is her hair like that; she looks terrible.
Zac on the other hand looks happy, haven’t seen him with a genuine smile in a while, looks good.

One thing I did notice on the Zac and Nikki picture’s is that Nikki is looking at Zac a lot more than Zac is looking at her, and on a couple of the photo’s Zac is touching his ring.

But when it is him and Vanessa doing anything like that with or without the rest of the HSM cast they constantly look at each and are always smiling, it’s just a observation on my part, but no doubt we will have the Zikki people saying those photo’s prove that Zac wants to be with Nikki more than Vanessa, which is okay everybody is entitled to their opnion.

Well, since we’re examining Nikki’s and Zac’s chemistry, I’ll add my own two sense…I think they have a chemistry, and c’mon, they’re both young…They’re friends, they possibly got closer, but who knows. I like their chemistry together and it seems that Nikki is more real than Vanessa. I like Zanessa and like Zikki too, I feel that people get a bit harsh when they see Zikki together…I can’t help but feel in defense of Nikki. Maybe it’s because we haven’t heard Zanessa truly talk of their relationship,but as with Zikki, and Zanessa, Zac says they’re Best Buds, Best friends…whatever…so, who knows what his double speak really is.

Thank you, JJ…this just added some pleasantness to my day!

And, I say let’s not overanalyze here…JJ probably put the Zac Hairspray clips up to keep everyone happy who has begun to ask “where’s Zac?” And, I for one, am quite pleased…those videos were hilarious…rosielee9, I too loved the touching John’s boobs part…and Z having trouble getting the wink out…awesome. He’s so funny and endearing and charismatic…well, I “heart” Zac…no secret there…hence the moniker. :-)

But, anyway, he and Nikki are friends and have been co-workers. He’s always with her at Hairspray promos not romping with her in Maui. But even if he did “dare to be seen with her” elsewhere, they’d still be friends. He is allowed to have other friends…even female ones…yeesh! Zac has chosen V…his choice has been very clear and I still don’t understand those who don’t see that. And for those of us who do, no worries to be had over anyone else he should hang with.

Finally, Hairspray is out in less than two weeks now…yes, I have a countdown. LOL. So, this isn’t all that crazy of timing anyway and I for one, hadn’t seen these Japan videos before and it looks like they were just added to that site on 10/26…days ago, not ages ago…so maybe JJ just found out about them. So, thanks again JJ for the posting…glad if V and Z are going to cozy up for a nice movie at home and great to see that Link Wink again. :-)

Now, back to less pleasant things…work…ugh!

For those unsure this was around the first week of October when they were in Japan.

Over the past few months I have become a big fan of Zac’s as well as Nikki’s, I really appreciate them both for their individual talents and personalities, both of which are stellar. I also personally think they have an undeniable chemistry and dynamic which has really helped me see a side of Zac I think we otherwise rarely get to see. The guy behind the Hollywood teen dream as it were.

You see it occurs to me that without Nikki giving me that glimpse beyond the curtain I really wouldn’t like Zac quite so much as I do now. To paint a picture..I’m not one of those fans who needs to know every single thing about the person..from what they eat ..to what bedsheets they have…if I find out these things naturally through watching interviews/reading articles or here on JJ or whatever fine..but I don’t go looking for it.

Watching Zac be revealed as this marvelous guy that he truly seems to be through each interview he does with Nikki has been like a little..voyage of discovery. I know, as we all do, that yes they’re actors and have public personas but I feel like I’ve already witnessed Zac’s ‘persona’ per se in all the other press I’ve seen him do (particularly judging how he was here in London when I met him versus how he’s been since)..and yet when he’s with Nikki..it’s like he can’t help himself (when he’s talking about her and he can’t help singing her praises..’I'm sorry..but I have to interject’)…and it’s like the real him comes out. And it’s amazing to watch. This boy becoming a man, not perfect and nor would I wish him to be, who can be cocky but ultimately, deep down when she’s telling us he’s just as beautiful inside I don’t think she’s exaggerating, she sees the guy behind the persona..and she wants all of us to see it too.

When he’s with her we get to see the man inside. He often seems to blush and hesitate a little when he comes out with something in their interviews like he can’t believe he’s revealed quite so much of himself..but around her he can’t help it. But as time continues, his confidence seems to grow…I sometimes wonder will Zac look back at this period of his life..and realise who it was that made a man out of him. He says he grew up making Hairspray and I think meeting Nikki had a lot to do with that. As much as I absolutely adore Nikki for how amazing and talented she is in her own right, I’ll always have something else to thank her for..she gave me Zac Efron..and how many people get to say that?

To put it in a nutshell…Zac from a distance to the untrained eye is like a Caravaggio painting, beautiful and revered for sure….but unless you get up close enough to examine it and see the stunning light that makes a Caravaggio a masterpiece..it’s just a beautiful painting. Stunning but without the life inside. But when you see the light that brings it to life..you can’t forget that glimpse of truth and will never see it in quite the same way again. Nor will you want to. Nikki is the light in the Caravaggio…and I for one, am glad I’ve witnessed it.

Find out who you are Zac..and become it ;)

What I don’t understand is why Zac has ten times more chemistry with Nikki than he does with his own girlfriend. Except for that one time that TMZ caught them together(zanessa), zac just never looks like he’s into her.

thanks to jj for the vid. i laughed so much, when he tried not to laugh and when he made fun of him not beeing able to do the wink in real life. i just pictured him with vanessa failing to do it and the laughing afterwards…
and PLEASE no more of the: “their chemistry is sooo much better” posts… it`s getting old and in some ways crazy… vanessa and he try to keep their private life PRIVATE, therefor they are not all over each other in interviews. i think all our hearts would melt if we would be able to see the real chemistry between zac and vanessa…

Vanessa does look tired, but still so lovely in my opinion. I can’t tell how late it was when she went to the video store so that could be a factor in why she looks tired. She was also with Zac earlier in the day and that is definitely something else to consider. *wink wink*

I honestly don’t see the chemistry between Zac and Vanessa outside of the movie. In most of the pics I’ve seen it looks like he’d rather be standing 20 feet away from her than right next to her. With Nikki he just seems so much more relaxed and at ease. It’s refreshing.

I suppose everyone sees things the way they want to see it, the way they choose to see it. It’s as simple as that. We all have our own opinions and make our own assumptions by what we see in the media. We don’t know the whole story and we can only read into bits and pieces of information that we get from media coverage.

Zac is friends with Nikki and that’s a good thing. I don’t see him having any special chemistry with her because compared to what I’ve seen with him and Vanessa there is no comparison there. As pointed out by Nikki fans they feel otherwise and I can understand that.

The reality is that Zac and Vanessa are dating and have been a couple for over two years now. They choose to keep it a private relationship and I respect that. Zac has a friendship with Niki and that is as far as it goes. Vanessa doesn’t seem to have any problems with that and I see nothing wrong with it either so end of story. I think it’s ironic how some fans get so anxious about “Zikki”. Vanessa isn’t worried about Nikki because she’s secure in her committed relationship with Zac. That speaks volumes to me and it means all is right in the world for Zanessa.

The publicity angle: Does this really make sense to you people who say that? These two met when they were not yet 17 or 18. They bonded immediately and felt the chemistry. They have spoken about that before they became so guarded. They had no idea how big HSM1 would become and if there would be any other HSM’s. They were seeing each other as a girlfriend/boyfriend situation even before the wrap of the first movie. Watch some of the videos when they went on tour witht he first movie. They could not stay away from each other. It may be even a little embarrassing to watch if it wasn’t so sweet. Then they kept in touch with each other constantly when Vanessa was touring and Zac was in Canada filming Hairspray. He’s finally joins the cast in London for the promotion of HSM1 and the fireworks are full-force again. They weren’t so shy then because they were still maintaining they were friends. However, it is Vanessa’s hand who Zac has in his, it is Vanessa who he is always seated next to and leans towards…Then came the filming of HSM2 and it went beyond fireworks according to behind the scenes gossip. Watch the rehearsals and the recording sessions between them. Watch how his eyes light up when he talks about Vanessa and how he felt about the song You Are the Music in Me. All those things were before they went to Hawaii and before they knew what an explosion the release of HSM2 was going to be. And at that time nobody had talked about HSM3. If these kids keep going further and deeper with their relationship just for publicity then they deserve several millions each to do the movie not to mention an Oscar for their performances. This is a long time to keep up a publicity stunt that may never have been needed to promote something.

#120–But every time Zac and Vanessa are in interviews they are always a little nervous because the subject of them as a couple is always hinted at and they can never be sure of where the questioning will lead. While in London they were interviewed for a magazine and he finally just said, “Look, I don’t want to talk about Vanessa and me. I want to talk about the whole group”(the HSM2 cast). HOw could either of them be particularly relaxed when they know in each interview someone will try to get them to answer a personal question about them. On the morning news Vanessa had to say she wanted to keep her personal life private when she was promoting HSM2 the day it came out because the news anchor brought up the fact she had seen the Hawaii pictures and it looked like Vanessa was getting along VERY well with Zac. Vanessa laughed and didn’t deny anything and even said “yes” if I remember correctly before she said the thing about wanting to keep her private live private.

lol, you kind of answered the reason why. Remember now, they were suppocedly hiding their relationship. So of course, in tv interviews Zac looks uncomfortable and guarded because he’s trying to hide and contain himself to behave properly.

But if you look at candids where they’re not aware of the the cameras..then you’ll see that loose Zac who’s very happy with who’s he’s with. And yes, those pictures are rare. But lately, he’s showing it off. Notice how he doesn’t care what he looks when he’s with his girlfriend? He doesn’t even bother to shave or take care of his appearance because he know that his gf has seen him at his worse and is still with him.

Can someone help me with this?

Monday, Oct 29-Zac spotted after workout with hoodie, then takes small box from grocery store, then is spotted at Aroma Cafe with a friend for lunch. No Vanessa.

Tuesday, Oct 30-No Zac or Vanessa.

Wednesday, Oct 31-Zanessa appears briefly at Aahs Gift Shop, the afternoon of Halloween.

Thursday, Nov 1-Zac has a business meeting in Beverly Hills, then he visits Sunset Gower Studios. Zanessa drives thru Starbucks Beverly Hills, then Zac drops Vanessa off at home.

Friday, Nov 2-Mama Gina drops Vanessa off at an apartment, she gets buzzed in, and then Gina drives Vanessa home. No Zac.

Saturday, Nov 3-Vanessa drops by Zac’s to get something out of his car before she goes shopping with her mom.

Sunday, Nov 4-Zanessa emerges from Chez Nous after breakfast and hold hands briefly.

Monday, Nov 5-Ashley, Jared and Vanessa are spotted walking from their gym to their car with smoothies. Vanessa and her mom grab a late lunch in Toluca Lake.

Tuesday, Nov 6-Vanessa is dropped off at Zac’s. Vanessa rents a video in West Hollywood in the evening.

Please add to it if you know of any other sightings. I wonder if Zac didn’t go home to Arroyo Grande for a visit for the last few days? I know V was seen going to his apartment yesterday but maybe it was just to feed his fish? Kinda weird that he hasn’t been photographed since Sunday (unless you know something else).

I have a question for Zac and Nikki fans have any of you stopped to consider the reason why Zac feels more “comfortable” around Nikki then Vanessa is because he doesn’t feel as protective of their relationship? I don’t mean to suggest that he doesn’t value Nikki and their friendship I have no doubt that he does but that’s all it is; a friendship. It’s just a thought.

Jared does say that Vanessa is picking up a late night movie so that explains why she looks tired. Because people tend to get tired late at night as opposed to early in the day, that’s how it works for me anyway. LOL

I think Zac’s relationship with Nikki is almost like a close brother , sister relationship. He even said in an interview on the red carpet for the Hairspray premier that kissing Nikki was like kissing his sister. He is in love with Vanessa. He looks at her with passion in his eyes. He doesn’t do that with Nikki. He is good friends with Nikki and for good reason. She comes across in interviews as a very down to earth, sweet, nice person.

as for renting a movie. well, obvious you and other people care enough because they’re posting, clicking, replying and viewing the thread. And I have seen you in other Vanessa post, (that has nothing to do with Zac) so that mean….you care enough too.

Idon’t think Nikki brings out the true person in Zac, the only person who can do that is Zac himself by being himself and sticking to what he beleives in.

Irish-You are the master of the written word. I couldn’t have said it better myself, but then again I wouldn’t even try.
Everyone has multiple layers to their personalities and most of the time we are only given access to the top layer. When he’s with Nikki, it appears that he lets that silly, uncomplicated part surface; with Vanessa, he gets deeper and darker. That could be attributed to their personal relationship and that is fine. It’s just sad that he can’t let the carefree side show when in public with her. It’s like he’s guarding himself and her from the outside forces that surround them all the time now.
I hope that whatever he has with Nikki stays honest and true…like all good friendships aspire to be. I’m sure V is alright with what he has with Nikki.

I’m sure the HS experience helped him grow on all levels. Irish was right when she said you can see the transformation from boy to man. And everyone you cross paths with in your life helps shape the person you are. I think we should give Nikki credit for allowing Zac to show another side of himself and perhaps adding another layer to his persona.

She seems to be an amazing, open person. Hopefully that doesn’t change when her star rises. It’s sad when people have to put up the walls to protect themselves from the stardom they work so hard for.

Before the paps started hounding them to death Zac and Vanessa used to get out and have fun times together. Even his HSM dad told a reporter how he would see them at the lake and Vanessa had a scooter that Zac bought her last Christmas and he would be on his skateboard while she was pulling him behind her skateboard. They were just have a blast together. It is hard for them to do this any more.

You want to see them laughing together? There is a thread of them together where he is filling his car up with gas. It was taken right before he left to go to Japan. They are laughing in the pics and are so cute together and they are candid shots from the paps. It is on this site.

Yes, Zac said he grew up very quickly on the set of Hairspray because it was his first time away from home. He was alone for the first time because before his mother had always been there with him to do his laundry, etc. He said he became rather clingy with the cast of Hairspray because of it and he would go to the set even on days he wasn’t working so he could be with THEM. Nikki said her parents really liked him and kind of adopted him. That’s when he was saying she became like a sister to him.

I have no problems with the name Zikki. To me, it says there is going to be some information about Zac and his friend/sister Nikki. It is no different than talking abaout V and A (Vanessa and Ashley). It doesn’t mean a nickname can only be applied to a romantic couple.

Goodness. I don’t even know where to begin with some of you. It’s ridiculous how all of you are constantly looking for ways to bring Vanessa down. Is there a reason why? Are you jealous of her? Upset with her? Or does bringing someone like Vanessa down make you feel good about yourselves?

Whatever the girl does is wrong. When she smiles it’s wrong. When she looks tired, it’s wrong. Going to the movies is wrong. Shopping is wrong. Hanging out with her boyfriend, or with her firends is wrong. Doing the things that all of you do daily is wrong. NOT DRIVING is wrong.

Do you guys even have any idea how many people DON’T drive. My grandparents never learned how to drive. My uncle doesn’t drive. My cousin doesn’t want to drive. My own parents didn’t learn how to drive until they were in their late 20s. There’s obviously a reason Vanessa doesn’t want to drive, some people just prefer not to. Since none of you know that reason, it’d be in your best interest to shut the hell up.

I’d really like to see how some of you people behave on a normal day. Some of you give off the impression that you’re perfect, or you think you’re perfect, and I know for a fact that none of you are. It shows when you come here and bash a person for no apparent reason. The minute anyone of you suddenly becomes perfect, free of sins and everything, then and only then should you be allowed to rail on Vanessa for the mistakes she’s made. Until then, you have no right to criticize her. None of you haters are better people than she is, it’s time some of you stop telling yourselves that.

Goodness. I don’t even know where to begin with some of you. It’s ridiculous how all of you are constantly looking for ways to bring Vanessa down. Is there a reason why? Are you jealous of her? Upset with her? Or does bringing someone like Vanessa down make you feel good about yourselves?

Whatever the girl does is wrong. When she smiles it’s wrong. When she looks tired, it’s wrong. Going to the movies is wrong. Shopping is wrong. Hanging out with her boyfriend, or with her firends is wrong. Doing the things that all of you do daily is wrong. NOT DRIVING is wrong.

Do you guys even have any idea how many people DON’T drive. My grandparents never learned how to drive. My uncle doesn’t drive. My cousin doesn’t want to drive. My own parents didn’t learn how to drive until they were in their late 20s. There’s obviously a reason Vanessa doesn’t want to drive, some people just prefer not to. Since none of you know that reason, it’d be in your best interest to shut the hell up.

I’d really like to see how some of you people behave on a normal day. Some of you give off the impression that you’re perfect, or you think you’re perfect, and I know for a fact that none of you are. It shows when you come here and bash a person for no apparent reason. The minute anyone of you suddenly becomes perfect, free of sins and everything, then and only then should you be allowed to rail on Vanessa for the mistakes she’s made. Until then, you have no right to criticize her. None of you haters are better people than she is, it’s time some of you stop telling yourselves that.

It’s simply amazing how heartless and cold people can be. I honestly feel sorry for any of the people who have to deal with some of you on a day to day basis.

I agree, Connie has obviously not read the first part of the thread, where Zikki fans were insisting that Zac and Nikki have this amazing chemistry that they swear they see, but Zac has apparently not. This amazing chemistry happens during interviews or on the red carpet while promoting Hairspray. And stops there.

They say that they respect whomever Zac chooses as his girlfiend. Yet, they say that Zac looks unhappy with the Vanessa. The girl he chooses, the girl he is seen with everywhere with, shopping, getting a bite to eat, taking out on his birthday, Taking to his apartment, holding hands with, telling reporters- when they ask, thet he will not talk about his private life with (which he is very protective about).etc…
Way to show respect by calling him an idot (without saying it) for doing all that with a girl he is so unhappy with.

The craziest one is how Nikki changed him into a man. When in reality, the praise should go to his wonderful mother and father who raised a boy that they supported, believed in, and instilled good moral values in.

I have nothing against Nikki/ She is wonderful.
I just do not agree with certain Zikki fans and their views on what they think they know and how it should be for Zac, Nikki, or Vanessa.

Unfortunately, Jared linked it with a Vanessa page, instead of giving her her own entry, but maybe he did that so this kind of eruption would occur.
No one said you have to choose one or the other, but comments like Bekkah’s that are strictly a personal attach against someone’s outward appearance are ironic.
The movie that Zac and Nikki are promoting speaks directly to people like you—not to judge outwardly, but to look at the person inside.
Why not let them all be and just admire them for the talent they all posess? They are each unique and will all contribute to Hollywood in their own way.

I am beginning to realize that ZE may indeed have gay tendencies and that is based on several factors, his increased and serious interest in looking a certain way physically, his deep interest in musical theatre, and lately his physical mannerisms and behaviour is pointing towards that direction…physically he is looking more girly than before and I say than before because based on his previous roles on like Summerland, Miracle Run and and the Derby Strallion, I did not see that possibility at that time but sadly lately it is becoming more and more apparent.., I am also beginning to think that perhaps there were some early signs as a youngster that his father encouraged him as early as then to concentrate on a musical and acting career rather than a career geared towards science like him (he’s an engineer) and ofcourse father knows best….
Zanessa is just for promoting HSM and I do notice a discomfort in ZE when he is actually with her for a long time…he is probably caught between what he really wants inside and other people’s expectations form him…its a sad situation for him and I always think of people like Tab Hunter, Tom Cruise, Rock Hudson and many other closeted gay men in Hollywood…

I have to say that you can’t give Nikki credit for making Zac the man he is he has done that by himself along with the guidance and up bringing in the close family that he has.

Nobody can make you into something that your not and especially after 6 months of knowing that person, he was half way to becoming a man before he met Nikki.

Zac seems very respectful to other people, is a gentleman when it come’s to his relactionship as is Vanessa is with him, they keep it private and don’t feel the need to broadcast every intimate detail. As I have said Nikki seems nice enough but they just don’t seem to clickin that way, Zac has already done that with his ’special someone’ as he said not to long ago when asked about Vanesssa.

As they say actions speak louder than words or in Zac’s case his eye’s do alot.

It saddens me to see ‘fans’ descend to this level. I am of the belief that true fans of anyone or anything support despite and not because and I see little evidence, I see true fans of either side here, if there should be sides at all, we are all fans after all and to see that denigrated without cause is sad indeed.

Thank you for implying I am crazy for stating my opinion Mandy. I believe as I made clear at the beginning of my post that I was commenting on how Nikki had influenced my opinion of Zac by virtue of how openly he comes across in their friendship. I didn’t mention ANY of his other relationships, personal or familial as that was not what my post was about. As regards his parents, I do in fact agree with you and have posted several times saying as much elsewhere/other posts that he is a real credit to his upbringing. In fact there’s an interview that he and Nikki did in Sydney where he says that he and Nikki owe everything to their parents and that there was no need for concern that they would go off the rails because ‘we due it all to them’; that to me is the sign of a true star, being humble and respecting the road that got you there.

I do however also feel that meeting, working and becoming friends with Nikki had a very positive influence on him and shaped the man he is becoming, the two credits are not mutally exclusive. Zac says as much himself in several interviews that he expected to go into HS being able to guide and teach Nikki something but that he was the one who ended up learning from her. There is even another interview from the same day in Japan (not posted here by Jared) of Zac by himself and they ask him about the cast and he responds: ‘It was very enlightening, I learnt more than you could ever imagine..and I probably learnt even more from Nikki Blonsky..which is the last thing I expected..a girl who was y’know working in an ice cream store and literally was just thrust into the spotlight taking charge of this all star cast..and she did it..and it was very courageous..she pulled it off..it was amazing’.
