Brad & Angelina: Loved Up in London
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie enjoy a date night out at Japanese Restaurant Roka in London on Saturday.
Here’s a description of Roka: “The restaurant seats eighty people inside and twenty people out, with a Robata grill being the central feature of the dining room. Robata means ‘with open flames’ and that’s what most of Roka’s menu focuses on. Dishes such as tempura, sashimi, maki, kushiage, and robata niku are on the menu. The restaurant is positioned on a corner and has floor to ceiling windows, allowing those eating a view of people walking by.”

Hello everybody. That beautiful poppy-red lipstick — and the poppy pin — are for Remembrance Day, which was yesterday (Nov 11). That was a lovely gesture. This holiday marks the sacrifice of the soldiers in the FIRST world war. Each year, Remembrance Day gets lonelier and lonelier as there are fewer people alive who either fought in that war or else have somebody to remember from that war.

Remembrance Sunday is today here (the 11th) We wear the poppies not just for those lost in the first world war but for all those who made who died in conflicts from then to now in Iraq and Afghanistan. The revenue from thier sales goes to The British Legion, a charity set up to help veterans and widows in need. I imagine that Angie would know about the poppies from living here, but still surprised and pleased to see her wear one.

My mother used to buy and wear the red poppies in the US, too. I remember it as a child.

Does anyone else see anything weird about the hand-holding picture? Nothing negative, love Angie and Brad, they are fabulous. The picture loks weird though, like it has been photo-shopped. The wearing of poppies for Remembrance Day or Memeorial Day as it is called in some countries, is a tradition not just in England but throughout the former British empire. I grew up in Jamaica and wore poppies all my life, and I know it is worn in other former British colonies. Actually, I thought it was worn by all the countries which fought in the two world wars, but it appears not. Now I live in Canada and poppies are a tradition here as well.
Wow she looks like a painting. The flashes from the cameras is what made this picture bright white. But even a mistake like that makes Angelina look like a work of art. An art phographer or even Gwen Stefani could not have done better intentionally.I hope they have a good time. The paps don’t make any sense. Why are they taking pictures of people that are always photographed? We all know that these pics will never show up in a tabloid. They hate nice stories.
So where are these pictures ending up besides JJ? Oh maybe Hello magazine and People but that’s about it really.

For a second there I thought it was one of the kids but there would have been mention of them being there. they are in London though,Irma, just not there at the restaurant. Wasn’t there a pic of the kids boarding the plane I think?

Go to Wenn and in those pixs you will see he has no gloves on. That jacket has really long sleeves, it’s the same one he had on in LA last Tuesday nite at the Beowulf premiere.
I can’t wait to see the pix from the premier tomorrow …I hope they will be lovey dovesy as usuall….

Thanksgiving Day here is on Nov.22, one of the biggest holiday celebrations here aside from X-mas. Most of the stores are closed.

Remembrance Day is most often called Veterans Day in the states. Other countries might call it Armistice Day. Post offices will be closed in the states on Monday. The poppies are usually worn here for Memorial Day at the end of May.

Brad is not wearing gloves. He has his jacket sleeve pulled way down and it covers his thumb, but you can see his fingers curled around Angie’s. Go to Wenn and in those pixs you will see he has no gloves on. Bg is from England and he is used to the weather over there. Angie wore coat and Brad wore the jacket in LA at last Beowulf Premiere. Warren B and Jamie also wore leather jacket that night. Brad can wear whatever he wants.
I just saw AOJJ. I had no warning that it would be out this weekend(Australia). I heard all of you say that this film was not well publisised in the USA. I can’t believe how little publicity it got here too. Brad should have gone on a few TV shows even if the interviews were prerecorded in US or via satalite. He doesn’t need the WB financial support to get the film out there because the TV shows woulds be begging to have him on.
Anyway I loved the movie and thought the performance he gave was well worth the Vennice Film Festival award. I especially liked the sceen where he fliped out and put a knife to Fords throat. Only a gifted actor could do a sceen like that.

I am a huge Jolie-Pitt fan! I just love them & could look at their pictures of their most perfect family every day. Reading through some comments from the past few posts I need to say I saw the new Tom Cruise movie tonight. I have read about all the negative publicity & how the movie made a pitiful amount of money on its opening night. I want to share my thoughts with you. The movie was so intense & draining. Not at all cheerful but made me think about Mighty Heart(I so enjoyed it it & thought Angelina was truly amazing) & how powerful a movie can be. I am not a Tom Cruise fan at all but since I know most of you are very smart people I want to encourage you to go see it. You will not be supporting Tom Cruise but our people in the military. It is a story that needs to be told.
On a happier note can’t wait for the next photos of our favorite family!

LA to NY would be about 5 hours on a big boeing. NY to London is another 6 hours. However, if they flew in by private jet (may be that’s why they landed in Luton and not heathrow??), it would take a little longer. But 11 to 12 hours sounds about right.
Also, there’s probably an 7- 8 hours time difference between LA and London. So, hopefully, they both got some sleep on the plane and didn’t spend all their time reaffirming their membership in the mile high club.
Love Angelina’s RED lipstick with the RED poppy. I wonder if it was intentional? She was probably given the red poppy at the hotel.
Someone mentioned that the hotel that Angelina and Brad are staying in is all art deco. Which hotel is it?
As for Brad’s looks - yes, he looked prettier in the pringles ad then he does now but I was never a fan of his then, or even later through the Paltrow and x years. I like the way his face has aged. Less pretty, more beautiful. Like Angelina, I like age on a face.
Finally, a thought just occurred to me. Looking at the effort these Brad and Angelina make to fly around together, to support each other at the RC and also to just be together for their own alone time with each other, makes me think more and more that the months of separation during the filming of Troy was really, intentional. Really, the difference in the effort that Brad makes to be with Angelina and vice versa is just so huge. It makes me think that Brad and x weren’t just lazy and couldn’t be bothered. They really didn’t want to be together during that time when Brad was filming Troy - until the media attention on their separation got so big that x had to fly in - just like she did with Vince in london. because of course, even x has admitted, she cared a lot for what people think. So sad for x.

I think i know what happened to make Angie look a little different. Her eyebrows are a totally different shape than she normally wears them. They are thinner and more arched which gives her a totally different look. I have seen this happen on myself and my daughters. Anyway, I think she looks just beautiful and Brad looks pretty darn fine himself.

They look exausted. Can’t imagine being woke up to flasing cameras going off in my face. Maybe they got some sleep on the plane and had just woke up when getting off the plane. One thing is for certain, sooner or later, the body will get the best of you and force you to “stop” and rest.Can’t imagine being constanstly on the go. But, their life style demands it. I personally hope they take a step back before adding more children to their family and take care of themselves first or the children they do have will be orphans again.

LMAO, I don’t think she looks stoned. I think she looks startled. I will say this I have noticed that when Brad is around her, she does not look or play up to the camera. What I mean by that is that when she is surrounded by paps and she is by herself, she smiles and looks directly at the paps(countless pics prove this). When she is with Brad she has a stone face, she doesn’t look or smile with the paps. The pics remind me of the pics when she and Brad went to dinner in Prague and the dinner in Chicago. Brad is clearly annoyed with the paps whether he is with Angie or by himself. Angie seems to tolerate them as long as Brad is not there. What does it mean? Nothing most likely.

#280 the floor to ceiling glass you are describing is not from the restaurant. The pix are from the entrance of their hotel as they were exiting presumably to have dinner. I know this as this specific hotel is famed for being art deco with lots of glass and ornate decor. Most heads of state who are visiting the UK stay there if they are not staying at Buckingham Palace.

Just a word of warning to all fans watching the webcam, you probably won’t see Brad and Angie entering the actual cinema as it is located top right hand side on your screen. The actual entrance is hidden from the camera. They usually they have premieres at the Odeon or The Empire which can be viewed clearly from the Webcam but I don’t know why they chose the Vue instead. Anyway hope you can get a glimpse of Brad and Angie when they are doing their walk on the red carpet for the fans.
And if you are in London, best place to watch the stars along the red carpet would be on the 1st floor of Burger King in Leicester Square as it is located opposite of the Vue Cinema.
