Orlando Bloom’s Father Bonding Time

well isn’t nice a father son moment….now i know where orlando gets his good looks from! :)

You know I have been setting here reading all of this crap and at first I was very upset for Orlando because of some of the way people here are talking about him, now I am old enough to be his mother so you decide for yourself if you think I am a crazy fan of his. I have to say after my initial anger subsided I started cracking up at all of you mostly because if he ever wanted any attention between movies he is certainly getting it now and it not costing him a cent.
On one side people are arguing about his moral standing because of dating some girl before she had broken up with her boyfriend that one had me almost falling off my chair with laughter. Oh my god get a life everyone I can gurantee you that Orlando really dosen’t care what you all think. His movies will make money, old and new ones, and women and girls will follow him around because he is beautiful. He is also a good man, I have been with him in a few meetings of our buddhist community in Santa Monica and he treats evryone with the utmost respect. Because of our beliefs he could not do most of the things you are accusing him of he, like myself, believes way too much in Karma to ever do what you are suggesting. Over and above that we have all seen him very closely over the last 5-6 years has anyone seen anything at all to remotely make you think anything different about him except that he is a good man. He dosen’t hide what he thinks or feels unless it deals with his very private life.
And as for oooba dooba you certainly have chosen some amazingly ridiculous people to look up to. Now I love Johnny Depp but the man has been around and cheated and lied and drank did drugs and actually had a physical fight with Kate Moss in a hotel room which resulted in
him spending the night in jail.
And as for Cher give me a break! I can’t even address that one it is too ludicrous.
One last thing if you respect Johnny Depp so very much did you every read what he said about Orlando? He said he is beautiful inside and out and it was a pleasure to find out that he is as sweet and nice as he seemed.
By the way as far as his mother goes, her name is Sonia Copeland Bloom, it was the 70’s everybody was doing everybody and Harry Bloom was inprisoned with Mandela in South Africa and was reportedly tortured and unable to father children and Colin was living in the home with the family to help Sonia take care of Harry who needed almost complete care at the time.
You know what Orlando dosen’t need me to defend him but all of you eally need to get a life and quit talking about things that you really don’t know anything about except what you read in some stupid tabloid.
Enough said now go outside and get a life.

Thank you for responding to my post and my thoughts, Kathy. Since this is the Internet, we really don’t know who anybody is out there, so you may or may not be telling the truth. We also don’t really know Orlando’s personal belief system or how he interprets Buddhism or applies those beliefs to his daily living. Just as there are all kinds of Christians and Jews, Catholics and Muslims, there are all kinds of Buddhists.

I don’t care to pass personal judgment on the lifestyles of the actors I mentioned because that wasn’t the point of my post, for one, and according to MY personal religious beliefs, only God can truly judge the actions and intentions of another human being. All WE can do is speculate, conjecture, hypothesize, and MAYBE reach our own individual conclusions about a person or a situation after A LONG PERIOD OF STUDY.

You missed the point of what I was trying to say, Kathy. The actors and entertainers I mentioned have all been true to themselves and have pretty much been authentic about who and what they are and where they stand and what their beliefs are. You pretty much know where you stand with them, and the focus has been on their work and their talent, more than who they’re dating or sleeping with. I didn’t use them as examples of people with perfect lives or flawless pasts. Rather, they are examples of people who have focused on developing their skills and crafts, and aren’t known for messing with the press or having their persosonal/love lives UPSTAGE their professional lives, which is what has been happening with the Bloomster for quite some time now. I’d like to see Bloom get more press for his acting ability and for his work in quality films than for the latest girl he’s rumored to be hooking up with. That’s all.

And as I said elsewhere, actors make choices. They are NOT victims of circumstance or the constant whims of the public and/or the press. Some go for more exposure and publicity than others. Publicists help in that department. They can conceal and clamp down on info that they or their client doesn’t want released, and they can work to leak info that they and their clients want leaked. Seems to me that the really good actors with long term promise handle some things differently from the way Bloom has. Oh, you can add Elijah Wood to my previous list, as well as Cate Blanchett and James McAvoy and Eric Bana.

Anyway, the press has Orlando Bloom changing girlfriends the way parents change a newborn’s diapers, so it really is rather ludicrous. LOL! As long as Bloom and his people don’t mind the Gossip Poop, then it’s all cool. Glad you find JustJared amusing. I snoop around and post a bit here and there, usually finding greatest amusement in the clothing choices of the rich and famous. They’re rolling the mega bucks but usually look shabbier than some of the homeless people I’ve seen.
