Fashion Faceoff: French Connection Dress
Rosario Dawson celebrated the 2nd anniversary weekend of Tao Las Vegas on Saturday in a sequined minidress by French Connection. The Grindhouse actress finished off her look with cute pink heels with purple straps.
Vanessa Hudgens wore the same colorful minidress to the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Party back in September. The High School Musical star completed her look with a pair of simple black Christian Louboutin pumps.
Who wore it best — ROSARIO DAWSON or VANESSA HUDGENS?

The dress is at least one size too gig for Vanessa. And I think it’s too old for her.
A better photo of Rosario in the outfit is needed - but I think she is the winner by far. Her shoes make the outfit, and the dress fits her much better, mostly because it is a shorter length on her bod.
She is not ugly! people, get real, that is just not the most flattering photo. Almost no one looks good winking.

I think Vanessa wore it best as she kept it simple with a pair of black classy heels so not to take it away from the dress and kept her hair simple. I liked that she dared to jazz up her make-up a bit for a night out and think she pulled it off. I have that very dress from French Connection, and I wore it to a mates 21st lately. I had some flashy heels but they didn’t look right so wore it with some black peep toes and it set it off nicely. I jazzed up my make-up a bit as it needed it. Paris Hilton has the white version of that dress and looked lush in it. I think good on Vanessa for glitzing it up at her first public appearance since everything. Why shouldn’t she, she has nothing to hide. She did what she did years ago before she was mega famous and being the human being she is obviously regrets it, but no one is perfect and we cannot change the past, just choose whether to dwell in it or rise above it. Vanessa has chosen the latter and that is why I still support her 100%. Her personal life doesn’t affect how talented she is.
Rosario still looked nice in it, she just chose a different look so good for her and she looks like she is having a fab time.
Oh, this is tough…knee jerk reaction is Vanessa because 1)she’s gorgeous in anything and 2) just love her. That being said, I can see what Amy #241 is saying about the makeup BUT there are lighting differences between the two photos that make me think Rosario may be wearing just as much makeup but it stands out more on V’s photo…and, while this is a general rule, when you’re going to be photographed, makeup being exaggerated is pretty common I think…well, at least from a general photography standpoint and I suspect for celebs. I agree that V has a more classic look and Rosario’s is more fun. Ah, heck…I can’t decide…they both look great considering I also do not love this dress. Personally, I like V in the simpler dresses like the red one from the HSM2 premiere or the black one from the MTV awards, but she really can rock pretty much anything.
