She has super powers… just a few months ago she was kind of skinny (and is perfectly fine considering that she gave birth and also Angelina is not parenting 1 child, she’s more into ”crowd control” with all the kids), and now as if she snapped her fingers and the Beauty Goddess is back to being a drop down gorgeous. I said a few times about what did happen on the Red Carpet at the premiere of ‘Beowulf’ in London ( the fact that ANGELINA’s PANTS BROKE, but I am not so sure anymore… I seen some comments that could be the zipper in the back… but still, take a look, I am balancing betwen thinking that her pants really broke leaving Angie with a nice CRACK http://www.7gfb.com/?p=436 , also as if having the pants problem would had not been enough, Angelina also got a chewing gum sticked to her High Heels. I so root for her, Angelina is the best

IT got the story from 2005 which came the British mags and print it again now as a new one. THE EXACT SAME STORY. That her parents want to meet her and sh*t like that. Besides the actual article NEVER mentions that Brad and Angie are in danger to lose Zahara. It says that her NON EXISTANT mother put her up for adoption. So either way Angie and Brad are Zee’s parents. But the story is not even true so let that be the end of it.

The story is a cut and paste from an article that was printed in a UK tabloid in 2005. The article contradicts itself in many parts. It’s ridiculous!!

And yes 2005 was much worse. Tabs have printed EVERYTHING possible about these tow. So now that they have run out of everything they recycle old cr*p. I think us fans react more aggresively to these stories than the JPs do. We get angry/frustrated/hurt at the lies that are spread every week. Angie and Brad on the other hand probably don’t take it as seriously as we do. I think since they’re human, sometimes its gotta hurt, but most times they focus on their family unit and go from there. We’ve seen how Angie and Brad are still on top even with all the lies that have been written about them and attack thrown their way for nearly three years now. The media attacks them but they’re the ones who want to be the first ones standing in line waiting to see and interview Brad and Angie during their RC events. Angie and Brad are doing really really good in both their professional and personal lives.

Suing a tab for a lie they print in the US is an exercise in futility. Free speech rights trump, plaintiffs will lose 99.9% of the time. Look at poor very sick Farah Fawcettt and the National Enquirer printing all the details of her cancer. She was so upset with the NE, talked about suing them, her attorneys said you won’t win, so she has not sued.

Suing in another country may be possible if the tab prints the story there and depending on the laws of that country. Only successful suits by stars for defamation or something similar have been in UK, never in US. Tabs have attorneys who know the law and they write their lies to skirt the law but not violate it.

Angie is doing great despite constant attack by the tabloids. This is why I am so happy that Angelina has Brad in her life. She was very close to her mom, and her mom’s death had to have left her in a very fragile state of mind, as all are at times like that. She recently said she did Wanted because there were times she could not get out of the bed, and working made her do so. Even the very strongest of people need someone in their life who they truly love and who truly loves them, and for Angelina that is Brad. Brad is her support as she is his, and together they repel all the darts thrown at them. Fate does have a way of being what it is meant to be.

I think anything having to do with the kids does bother them, as both Brad and Angelina have voiced various concerns about their kids.

If I remember correctly, about the time Z was adopted, some woman showed up claiming she was Z’s aunt. When told to give some proof she was related to Z, she did a fast fade and never returned.

And we all remember when Pax’s supposed “birth mother” materialized out of nowhere claiming she never gave him up and the tabs were screaming kidnap.

Next thing you know, they’re going to resurrect Maddox’s birth mother. Want to bet they won’t?

Looking at the Box Office figures alone is not going to be sufficient when more than 80% of profits for the studios and producers come from DVD rentals and TV license re-runs, both in the USA and also in the huge international market. These numbers aren’t available for the likes of you and me. The studios will have all sorts of information and details which the general public don’t see. For example, which actors are popular with which demographic group? How likely are that demographic group likely to see a movie as opposed to buying or renting a DVD. Which actor/actress will do better in the DVD Rental and Sales and TV re-runs? Which sort of movies will do better in the DVD rentals and TV re-runs.

Ange calls for war crimes trials

ACTRESS Angelina Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations and is just back from Chad after meeting refugees from the genocidal war in the Darfur region of neighbouring Sudan.

There Arab militias armed by the Sudanese government have been killing Christian and spirit-worshipping blacks.

Angelina reports on what she found in new book The World In 2008, published by The Economist magazine today.

In it, the Hollywood heroine says she believes the cycle of violence can be stopped, writes TIM SPANTON.

SITTING with a group of refugees in a camp, the Tomb Raider star asked them what they needed.

She says: “These were people who had seen family members killed, neighbours raped, their villages burned and looted, their entire communities driven from their land.

“So it was no surprise when people began listing the things that could improve their lives just a little bit.

“Better tents, said one. Better access to medical facilities, said another.

“Then a teenage boy raised his hand and said with powerful simplicity: ‘We want a trial.’ ”

A trial might seem a distant and abstract notion to a young man for whom the inside of a courtroom is worlds away from the inside of a refugee camp.

But, for Angelina, his statement showed a recognition of something elemental – that accountability is perhaps the only force powerful enough to break the cycle of violence that marks so many conflicts.

She says: “I believe 2008 can be the year in which we begin seeking true accountability and demanding justice for the victims in Darfur and elsewhere.

“Through accountability we can begin the process of righting past wrongs.

Convicted

“We can even change the behaviour of some of the world’s worst criminals.”

Angelina says that international trials for killers in the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda have shown the way.

Heads of state and generals have been convicted for genocide and crimes against humanity.

The UN-backed Special Court for Sierra Leone has already sentenced three former leaders of a pro-government militia to jail for war crimes committed during the country’s civil war in the Nineties.

In Cambodia, the joint UN-Cambodian court to try top former Khmer Rouge leaders with war crimes and crimes against humanity has begun calling witnesses. Angelina says we should make no mistake that the existence of these trials changes behaviour.

Five years ago, she visited the Ituri region of Congo, formerly known as Zaire. She says: “It was there that Germain Katanga’s reign of terror had been most intense.

“Our group attended a meeting of rebel leaders. They had gathered in a field to discuss the prospects for a peace agreement, which were not looking very good.

“The conversation turned hostile and the situation grew extremely tense.

“At that point one of my colleagues asked for the name of one of the rebels, announcing, perhaps a bit recklessly, that he was going to pass it along to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

“His words had a remarkable effect – the rebel leader’s whole posture changed from aggression to conciliation.

“The very existence of the ICC w a s enough to intimidate a man who had been terrorising the population for years.”

Angelina says that this is not an isolated example and she believes that accountability has the potential to change behaviour.

She adds: “When crimes against humanity are punished consistently and severely, the killers’ calculations will change. My hope is that these examples of justice in the name of accountability will be just a few of the many to come.

“I hope the Sudanese government will hand over the government minister and the militia leader who have been indicted for war crimes by the ICC. I hope the teenager I met in Chad will get to see the trial he seeks.

“Despite the horror I have seen in my travels, the hopeful lesson I take is that we can begin to put an end to the cycle of violence that gives rise to war criminals and sets forth floods of refugees.”

Uh, the ONLY one that makes me mad on that list is the Zee one. The rest don’t matter and I don’t know why you’re so worried about the thanksgiving story when it is the exact same story from last year. The ripped pants is also very small potatoes and is not a big deal to Angie. She is probably laughing about it, because it’s too stupid to do anything about.

One thing that you should know about Angelina is that she is a strong woman at heart. The tabloids stories of yonder - BBT, JV oscar performance of the century on Access Hollywood - were much worse than those of the last 2 years…excerpt the year 2005, which in my opinion was the worst!

Jolie survived it all.

Another thing to note about Jolie is, in a nutshell:

- when you personally witness maimed bodies, body parts, guerillas, warlords actions, death, disease, the real situation in a refugee camp…and we aint talking…the ‘fugee band…it very quickly put everything(including tabloids rumours and stories) into perspective. Suddenly, all these tabloids stories are peanuts and meaningless…not worth your breath compare to the stuff out there in the refugee camps, and war zones around the world.

Same thing with Brad now. Before and mostly in 2005, he and his PR were chasing the tabloids but now…he does not bother because it is not worth it.

Look at London, UK - they both show up looking might fine, beautiful, HOT, and just right such that there was nothing to pick on but the gum and photoshopped split pants…as if. See, at the end of the day, when all that is left for people to pick on is a gum and leather pants..then you know..there is nothing else left to pick on period.

I suppose Zahara’s uh..”mother” ran out of money she got from UK Sun and apparently suffers from amnesia. Let’s see, in 2005, she was 18 years old, Zahara’s birth name was Setota, she was raising Zahara alone, gave her up for adoption herself, didn’t want her back and was just grateful that Angelina was taking care of her. In 2007, she’s 24 years old, Zahara’s birth name was Yemasrech, she was raising Zahara with her mom but ran away and her mom was tricked into giving up Zahara. Hilarious really.

LOS ANGELES — The millions upon millions of men (and many women) who wouldn’t mind seeing Angelina Jolie’s body in its barest form are in for a bonus — they can now get even closer to the “Beowulf” beauty thanks to the fact that her exposed flesh is all three-dimensional.

“I got a little shy — I really wasn’t expecting it to be as … I didn’t expect ourselves to ‘come out’ as much,” Jolie said, referring to her nu de scenes in the new flick “Beowulf.”

“I didn’t expect it to feel as real and so, especially because of the type of character I play, it was funny at first and then there were certain moments where I felt actually shy and called home and just explained the kind of fun movie I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than I think they were expecting. So I was really surprised that I felt that exposed,” she added.

And it seems the screen siren is so sexy even as an animated mother that she was able to leave co-star John Malkovich without words.

“It’s PG-13, so at least I’m told there are things and adult themes on the Internet that may push the envelope quite a bit further than a PG-13, but we’ll see; I haven’t seen it yet,” he told FOX at Monday’s star-studded premiere. “Of course, I’m excited to see Angelina on-screen … she’s …she’s talented.”

However, co-star Ray Winstone wasn’t quite so excited to see the humanitarian hottie flashing her flesh in a cartoon creation.

“I don’t think there’s anything better than the real thing, to be quite honest with you,” Winstone said. “But she [Jolie] is a beautiful girl, [a] great actress, you know?”

Is Angelina Jolie really as hot in CG form?

UK, November 8, 2007 - If talk of Beowulf conjures up images of listless poetry lessons at school then think again - the new big screen version of the Anglo-Saxon epic is one of the most exciting and viscerally accomplished films of the year. Using performance-capture technology and crystal clear 3D imagery, director Robert Zemeckis fully immerses the viewer in a mythical world of warriors, monsters and demons, and in doing so makes his best film for more than a decade.

Which is no mean feat as the source material is challenging to say the least. The 3,000-line poem was written sometime in the sixth century and revolves about a Viking warrior who saves an ancient Danish kingdom from destruction at the hands of a terrible beast. The plot is pure Hollywood, but the convoluted and disparate nature of the original text couldn’t be further from modern, three-act screenplay structure. Writers Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary have decided to play fast and loose with the story however, filling in the poem’s many blanks to create a convincing and wholly satisfying adventure about the battle between good and evil and the nature of true heroism.

Their story kicks off with King Hrothgar’s kingdom under attack from Grendel, a malevolent monster hell-bent on delivering death and destruction to the Danes. A feast for the eyes, it immediately becomes clear that visually, Beowulf is quite unlike any movie ever made. The filmmakers have fine-tuned the motion-capture technology so at times the humans look photo-realistic - no dead-eyed Polar Express-style kids here - rather we get lifelike characters with faces every bit as expressive as their human counterparts.

Beowulf himself is a triumph - a muscular warrior with a disdain for clothes that allows the viewer to see (almost) every line and curve of his brilliantly computer generated body. As for the vocal performance, it’s initially jarring to hear Ray Winstone’s cockney growl coming from the body of such a Viking Adonis, but by the end of the film his casting makes perfect sense.

As played by Angelina Jolie, Grendel’s mother is also an incredibly accomplished creation. Making full use of the star’s obvious talents, she pads and slinks around her underwater lair like some feline seductress from hell - It’s one of the most sexually charged performances Jolie has yet committed to film.

As for Grendel himself, the filmmakers have created one of the great big-screen creatures - a superhuman giant dripping bubbling blood and festering flesh from every godless pore. Crispin Glover, who last worked with Zemeckis on Back to the Future more than 20 years ago, imbues the creature with just the right combination of anger, violence, sadness and pathos to create a truly memorable movie monster.

But forget plotting and performance - Beowulf is all about action, and in this respect the results are truly jaw-dropping. Fully utilizing the limitless computer canvas, the camera swoops and soars around the expansive CG sets, viewing proceedings from hitherto impossible angles and vantage points.

From the violently breathless opening exchanges, the film rarely slows down to catch its breath. Battle after battle ensues, the monsters becoming ever larger and more dangerous and the combat increasingly eventful and outlandish, culminating in an astonishing finale following an enormous fire-breathing dragon in flight. These spectacular set-pieces make full use of the 3D technology, and will have the audience ducking and diving for cover. With James Cameron currently working on his own 3D epic Avatar and several other filmmakers following suit, this might just be the future of theatrical releases, and if so we’re all in for a treat.

On the negative side, the film does have several dramatic lulls between the action sequences and the sporadic attempts at humour are corny in the extreme. Also, so much of the film’s appeal lies in the 3D-IMAX experience that one wonders how impressive the action will be when screened in normal 35mm (my guess would be pretty underwhelming).

That said; all credit to Zemeckis and his team for taking an ancient Anglo-Saxon text and giving it the most modern of spins. By combining cutting edge technology with good old-fashioned storytelling they’ve created a truly original feature that genuinely takes the breath away.

A magnificent sensorial experience, that’s a feast to the eyes and ears but less so to the mind and soul, Bob Zemeckis’ technically innovative “Beowulf,” a retelling of the legendary poem as an action-adventure-mythological-epic, should satisfy most viewers as a new kind of entertainment. Taking to heart the criticism addressed at his previous animation, “The Polar Express,” which split reviewers, Zemeckis has improved his technology considerably. Seeing the film in its 3-D IMAX format should become a must-event for film lovers.

In contrast to Winstone and Glover, there’s more congruence between the two facets of Angelina Jolie, who looks and sounds the same. Jolie is perfectly cast as a dangerous, seductive creature that plays on the weaknesses of all men, including the King, Beowulf, and Grendel. You’ll get a kick out of the erotic sight of the physically alluring Jolie, emerging out of the water, clad as it were in gold, while wearing matching color high-heel shoes.

A little treat in the form of Anthony Hopkins. He’s so charming.

So Anthony did an interview for Beowulf with moviesonline.ca and was talked a bit about Angelina in his interview. Here is what he had to say.

The high-minded economic and political weekly has secured a sprinkling of stardust for The World in 2008, which is published tomorrow and contains predictions for next year.

Jolie’s piece on accountability for the atrocities in Darfur sits alongside contributions from several presidents, an exiled god-king, the head of the United Nations and other political heavyweights.

Her photo byline describes her as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The annual spin-off to the Economist retails for £4.95 and covers topics ranging from global warming to the politics of Latin America.

Now in its 22nd year, the publication is sold internationally and will remain on news-stand shelves all year.

I have to disagree with the poster complaining about The Economist’s choice to ask Ms. Jolie to contribute for their publication. She is not just a movie star and entertainment celebrity.
She’s widely known throughout the world a very active humanitarian and activist. And I know this is shallow, but there are also many people who know and admire her for her beauty and grace although they might not know anything about foreign policies or international law. Now, because of Ms. Jolie’s pull on these people they have become aware of many of humanity’s greatest perils.
I’m not saying she’s a saint or this great goddess oh where art thou angel from heaven.
She’s just another human being trying to do what’s right and helping people who are helpless in undoing the wrong that she thinks has been done to them.
Whether you like her or not, there are many people out there that have been heard if it were not for her.
I have not read the full article as of yet but based on the excerpts from the associated press that I have read I greatly agree with her reasoning.
People, these war criminals NEED TO ACCEPT ACCOUNTABILITY. They have to be punished for the crimes they have committed.
Think about the parallels of our normal society and just imagine the lives lived every day by these casualties of human insanity. If you have heard or seen a preview of the docu-drama that is Darfur Now, let me tell you, that was a puff piece compared to the gritty and hard truth to what is going on out there. I know this is a chilling thought, and that’s why I admire Angelina Jolie. It is because she chooses to give time to highlight this issue and spread the word that there are worse things than being exposed to Britney Spears’ ******. Way worse things.

In ‘Beowulf,’ Jolie plays Grendel’s mom, how about some more classic roles?

Angelina Jolie is a thoroughly modern woman — living in unmarried bliss with one of the world’s most handsome movie stars, raising a rainbow coalition of orphans from around the world (as well as her own biological offspring), and traveling the globe to lobby for human rights. But in the new film “Beowulf,” she takes on one of ancient literature’s more notable female roles, as the beast Grendel’s seductive yet monstrous mother.

The film departs from the eighth century epic poem at various junctures, most notably in its handling of Grendel’s mother and her relationships with both Beowulf (Ray Winstone) and King Hrothgar (Anthony Hopkins). But what’s a little tweaking when you can cast the voluptuous Jolie, a screen siren with the seductive power to make even straight women and gay men think about playing for the other team?

Perhaps Jolie might be convinced to take on some other notable roles from classic literature, particularly if they could be updated a bit:

Lady Macbeth: One of Shakespeare’s more formidable creations, her insatiable ambition drives her husband to commit murder to ascend the throne of Scotland; alas, she is driven mad by her scheming.
Modern twist: Growing weary of her husband’s wishy-washiness, Lady Macbeth hires hit-archers to take him out so that she may become Queen of Scotland. She pays homage to her first husband, however, by wearing a vial of his blood around her neck.

Madame Bovary: The sexually rapacious Emma Bovary conducts various affairs under her dull husband’s nose, but she eventually commits suicide over her mounting debt.
Modern twist: Emma writes a lurid tell-all; despite being banned by the Catholic Church, her racy memoirs become a huge hit and she is able to pay off all her debts. She leaves her husband Charles and moves to Paris, where she has her ex’s name tattooed to her breast.

Lolita: OK, yes, Jolie is a tad old to be playing Nabokov’s nymphet, but if the effects wizards behind “Fred Claus” can put the faces of John Michael Higgins and Ludacris onto little people, anything’s possible, right?
Modern twist: In this version, Lolita has a brother to whom she is very, very, very close, and he rescues her from Humbert Humbert.

Medea: Although this legendary character from Roman and Greek literature differs slightly depending on which version you read, Medea was responsible for murdering her brother and scattering his body parts hither and yon to distract her father from chasing after her and husband Jason. Later, after Jason leaves her for another woman, Medea sends the new wife a cloak designed to burn up anyone who wears it. Oh, and then Medea murders her own children that were fathered by Jason.
Modern twist: Medea wins Jason’s ship, the Argo, from him in a divorce, and then travels the known world adopting orphaned children to add to her family. Then she sells exclusive photo rights to her latest child to the ancient Roman edition of OK! magazine for one million lire.

Alison, the Landlord’s Wife: In “The Miller’s Tale,” the bawdiest of Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales,” a student manages to bed the wife of his landlord; complications ensue when one of her other suitors puts his lips up to a peephole expecting a kiss from her, only to be greeted by her other end.
Modern twist: None. Get the Farrelly Brothers on rewrite.

The Duchess of Guermantes: The narrator of Proust’s “In Search of Lost Time” is obsessed with this queen bee of Parisian society, doing whatever he can to enter her lofty circles and bask in the radiance of her celebrity.
Modern twist: Again, none. In fact, if test audiences say they can’t pronounce “Guermantes,” why not just name the character “Angelina Jolie”?

Winnie: The protagonist of Samuel Beckett’s “Happy Days” spends the first half of the play buried up to her chest, and the second half buried up to her chin. She retains an optimistic attitude despite the fact that she is literally being swallowed up by the earth.
Modern twist: Environmental activist Winnie camps out in a field as a protest against developers who want to build a Wal-Mart over a native burial ground. Unfortunately, her tent has been pitched on quicksand and she’s trapped there, slowly sinking into the Earth, until a sexy, butch, bisexual vegan biker chick (played by ’90s supermodel Jenny Shimizu) rescues her on live television.

Anna Karenina: Tolstoy’s tragic heroine has one of literature’s great doomed romances with Count Vronsky, but after her husband Alexei refuses to give her a divorce so she can marry Vronsky, a distraught Anna throws herself in front of a train.
Modern twist: At the last moment, Anna changes her mind and runs up and over the speeding locomotive, “Matrix”-style. She then has a martial-arts battle with Alexei involving lots of wire work. Later, she has a very public estrangement from her father (played by Jon Voight).

King Lear: Why should one of the theater’s greatest roles be played only by men? While Jolie managed to win a best supporting actress Oscar for “Girl, Interrupted” without having to ugly herself up, how could the Academy fail to give her best actress statuette for burying herself in layers and layers of makeup to play a man in his 70s?
Modern twist: Lear is a Rupert Murdoch–style media magnate dividing his empire between three ungrateful daughters. Audiences will be shocked when the story suddenly shifts to being about Lear stealing the attractive spouse of a beloved sitcom star. Suddenly, “Team Lear” T-shirts begin popping up all over Los Angeles.

Some of my favorite stories are mentioned here. Angelina would make a great Madame Bovary/ Anna Karenina. I have thought this before. She has their independant spirits. I don’t know about classic stories being modernised but if they were going to do them right Angelina would be the woman for the role.

Fcukturd, youre spitting in the wind. None of Angie’s fans and other well-wishers and admirers AROUND THE GLOBE have labelled this movie as hers. We are only too aware of the agenda of hypocrites who love to build her up just so they can tear her down.

Those pseudo-movie critics and others who either dont know any better or who just want to jump on the Midas-like phenomenon that is Angelina Jolie, are very much aware that her appearance in this movie is minimal. And even tho her character’s influence in the story is major, the fact is, there are other big name movie stars who arent getting as much press as Angie.

Where were Clooney and Mathew M, the previous winner ? they were not even included in the top 15. I think this list was more of a popularity list.
Matt was likable but far from sexy and handsome, but any way, I like him, he is humble, down to earth, great dad and husband.

SERA - totally get what you are saying. But in all fairness, I doubt, very seriously, that those magazines are in their home. Perhaps Madd’s little friends may have this garbage but the type of company they keep, I seriously doubt it. That doesn’t mean he will never see and read them, but my bet is that BA will make there kiddies strong enough (character wise) to deal with any and all lies about their family.

I just wish that we as fans could let it go with the tabs. They have talked about them since day 1 and will continue long after we are all gone. No need to get upset about it. Just let it fall by the wayside. No one really believes that garbage - even the mental cases that are here promoting it. People really aren’t that dumb and they do use common sense.

My hope is that one day (perhaps its very soon) the printed supermarket tabloids will out live its usefulness.
