Angie discusses the beauty of her character as Grendel’s mother (Crispin Glover plays Grendel).
“So I thought it was all really sexy,” she said. “And I loved that there’s this transition that she’s not really beautiful. She can morph into what other people perceive as beauty but she is this other creature.”

There’s only one Angelina Jolie. All the entertainment magazines and horny male journalists can spend paragraphs trying to pin down the source of Angelina’s sex appeal: Is it the famous lips? Those smoldering eyes? That awesome voice? Her appeal is everything combined and the fact that the combination is so incredibly unique that makes her complete package. No offense to Cameron Diaz or Jessica Biel, but it’s not hard to believe that you might know someone who looks like them. You don’t know anyone who looks like Angelina Jolie. There’s only one, even when she’s rendered in computer generated 3-D in Beowulf.
Angelina could have easily disappeared after her late ’90s and early ’00s success, but she built on it in every single arena, giving better performances, doing more humanitarian work around the world, and, of course, being half of one of the most beautiful Hollywood couples of all time. In other words, she’s an award-winning actress, life-saving humanitarian, and half of Brangelina. The world wouldn’t be the same without her.

The ticket price is 400 pesos. This is my first time to watch a movie in IMAX. I am not really the type who go for action blockbusters.
If you are planning to watch it in IMAX, it would be better to give them a call ‘cuz I heard that some of the showtimes are already fully booked. You may find the contact information on their website.
Out of curiosity, I also plan to watch BEOWULF in 2D flat … just to help me determine (in the future) whether it is worth shelling out those extra precious pesos for other films of the same type (3D).

You know I saw the trailer on tv for Beowulf. For the average person who spends no time reading film blogs or following celebrities or reading critics reviews…..this movie means nothing because the trailer says nothing about what the film’s plot is about. The story is great but in the trailer all you see are flashes of fighting, Angelina rising up from the water, the logo and that’s it. Is that supposed to make me want to go see this film? There’s no mention of this being in 3D, something new for many people and an incentive to get people up and out for this film.

I just found out that Beowulf is showing here at the IMAX theater in Austin after all. I guess I heard wrong.hehe. So, I’ll be thinking of you both this weekend too. Wish I could be at the Mall of Asia (MOA) too. Lucky girl!!

Yo guli, I am doing alright…thank you. I am just very busy at work ( my boss is away, I have to assist of all purchasing at work), I am also reading sections about the Health & Safety Committee report since I am the representative from my workplace. I am still reading/lurking some (not all) of the posts. I have to park my keyboards soon since I am going to clean up my bedroom. We are having somebody fix the windows at my bedroom before the onslaught of winter arrives.
Are you going to see Beowulf this weekend? I might see it. It all depends on my free time. If not, then for sure I’ll see it next weekend. I’ll go for the IMAX 3D. You have to pay a bit extra money but it’s worth it.

ariel—you bet you I will be seeing Beowulf this weekend. Flamingo girl aka R. invited three of her friends, since hubby will be working my older son is going to come with all his roomates etc. to help me getting her in and out with her crutches. BTW—my son and his friends have been dying to see this movie but I guess their plan didn’t include moi and R. but they are being nice and I told them they can sit as far away from me as possible as long as they help me in and out of the theater :-)

Guys, you know I put about as much faith in Star magazine as I do in a two-headed giraffe, but if even one-tenth of their cover story this week is true, this is some funny shít.
Star is running a cover story on “Desperate” (their label) Aniston who is bereft over losing her BFF Courtney Cox, who evidently is sick and tired of putting up with X’s bullshit. Seems X was feeling lonely and depressed on the set in Oregon and called Cox and expected her MARRIED BFF to drop everything and run up to Oregon to give her some comfort and moral support. Cox said it was a bad time, whereupon X threw a shitfit and screamed at Cox that she’s never there for her when she needs her. I was like, WTF?? Cox has practically put her life on hold for this narcissistic beeyotch and this is the thanks she gets. So one or the other of them slammed down the phone (or maybe the phone got slammed down at both ends) and now X is firing off desperate e-mails to her ex because she and Cox aren’t speaking to each other any more. What the hell does she expect he’s going to do for her, drop everything including Angie and the kids and run to her side? No wonder this sad sack of shít can’t keep a man. Everything is all about her. Star also reports that X is pissed off about the lack of amenities on the Oregon site and while the rest of the cast is socializing every night, X is stuck in her room in a snit because she lacks her daily luxuries. Somebody cut that useless broad a big chuck of cheese to go with that gallon of whine. All she does is take up space on the planet without giving anything back. Anybody want to bet how many more movies she’ll be hired for after this disaster wraps?
