Love Nikki in Hairspray and can’t wait to buy the DVD! I’m driving my family nuts with Hairspray songs and videos on Youtube.

She is an amazing and a true talent! Wow she is everywhere these days with her singing and acting. Great to see her in different roles because she is not just a one dimensional performer.

Also loved all the candid pictures of her and her BFF Zac on ff. Thanks gang! Those behind the scenes and off the set pictures are super. They look great together.

I DON KNOW, WIT A GOOD VOICE LIKE JENNIFER HUDSON, BEYONCE…WOW. WHY NOT! BUT I SURE HOPE HSM2 OR HAIRSPRAY WIN =)

I know. I love Jennifer Hudson’s voice. it’s amazing and Beyonce was great too. I just prefer the soundtrack to Hairspray better. so I want that to win.

but I really like the songs from Dreamgirls.

Okay, first I want to say that I’m very happy for Nikki and this is a cool thread. It’s great to get a peek at this deleted scene. I am very excited that the dvd is only days away now and I will be up that morning getting it at the store. :-)

Next, just wanted to say it was a little sad to read through and see the comparisons here…and if there’s real honesty, unless I missed some posts because they were removed for abuse or something, I don’t think I saw any that bashed Nikki with a comparison to she who shouldn’t need to be named since it is indeed a Nikki thread. What I mean is, the mentions of you know who came about by those defending Nikki. Anyway, just seemed, well, counterproductive to me. I am a fan of said gal too and I didn’t have any intention of discussing her here.

So, basically, maybe we can focus on Nikki’s awesomeness and leave it at that. And, I agree with narf #114. Peace is good…I like both but I respect the one this thread is celebrating. :-)

Yes, please can we just keep it to Nikki and if you aren’t a fan then don’t post here. That would be great.

And I CAN NOT wait for this DVD. It looks like there is a lot of amazing features. The only thing I am disappointed about is that it looks like there won’t be any bloopers and I would have really loved to see some bloopers.

I really hope Hairspray beats HSM2. I mean, I like the hsm2 soundtrack and I listen to it about every day but the hairspray soundtrack is way better. I think the people in hairspray have more vocal talents than the people in hsm. granted zac efron is in both but his vocal talents are more showing and shining in hairspray than they are in hsm. also, I think the hairspray songs have more depth to them.

I would have loved to have seen some Bloopers! I am just glad that the dvd comes out on Tuesday! I don’t think I could have waited much longer!

I would love bloopers too…but I’m wondering if either the HD DVD version, which I think comes out in early ‘08, or some other super duper must-have edition will include them. I love the movie and I’m not saying it’s not worth it, but I’m thinking that the producers and such are going to milk it for all it’s worth. I mean, I’m sure I’ll also be buying the new upgraded version of the cd soundtrack too. They so have their hands in my pockets! LOL.

Out of curiosity, anyone have thoughts on which version they’re getting? The Shake and Shimmy or the big deluxe locker type one.
