OlderCeline Dion is a Soap Star
Superstar singer Celine Dion drops a pretty penny on the Upper East Side’s Madison Avenue on Friday, making stops at Barney’s, Chopard and Chanel. The Canadian powerhouse also sipped on champagne at Chopard before jewelry shopping.
Later in the evening, Celine, manager husband Rene Angelil and son Rene, 6 1/2 , checked out of their midtown hotel.
Taking a break from her “Taking Chances World Tour,” Celine, 39, will guest on the ABC soap All My Children. She’ll play a guest on Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) talk show, New Beginnings and will be sing the title track to her new CD, “Taking Chances.”
Airing just before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 21, this episode marks her first foray into daytime television acting.
Celine’s “Taking Chances World Tour” is scheduled to hit all major markets in North America before ending Jan. 30, 2009, at the BankAtlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Her album dropped Nov. 13. More info at CelineDion.com.
