Sat, 17 November 2007 at 5:09 pm
Here are the first pictures of Tom Cruise in a fat suit and bald cap shooting his cameo for Ben Stiller’s new comedyTropic Thunder.
Tom is believed to be playing a studio mogul in the movie, which also stars Matthew McConaughey (replaced Owen Wilson), Robert Downey, Jr., Jack Black, Nick Nolte, Bill Hader and Justin Theroux.
Tropic Thunder is about a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie and through a series of freak occurrences, they are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying.
The funny flick is scheduled for a July 11, 2008 release.

I guess diguising his face is a clever tactic on stiller’s part..hahaha..if you dont want you rmovie to tank disguise the midget…I think stiller doing a polite compromise the aleternative will be **** you ..and then he will have the scientology goons harrass his behind…
Why does anyone want him in their movie?
I thought I read a quote the other day that said he does not own a cell phone? Isn’t that a cell in his hand?
Love the hair!
Yikes!
I actually think that this disguise is an improvement. At least you can’t recognize mini Tom.
haha
Looks like he doesn’t need the fat suit.
Hahah, yes Jared, the chest hair is just SO incredibly sexy….
he is the best!!
Tom rocks!
What do you mean, looks exactly the same to me
Wow what a disguise. It does look interesting. Miapocca and Libraesque get a life and stop stalking Tom Cruise. And what hurts you the most is that you know Lions for Lambs would have performed worse if Tom Cruise were not in it. It has made more than 20 million in its first week more than other War on Terror pictures when it has no action and is all talk. Plus critics loved Tom’s performance. If that hurts, am sorry.
He has to be one of the greatest actors of all time. By the way, check the box office numbers LFL has picked up nicely and is doing well abroad. It has a budget of 35 million and has made over 20 million in the first week. That is pretty decent for a war on terror movie.
He looks very funny, I would like to watch that. He is still a hunk though.
ahahah…and if you think we are stalkers, what are you?? You who is aware we are on all the blogs…you must be a stalker as well right??.,..
On numbers picking up…teh scientologist have been ordered to go to each and every screening..just wait till one mor edefect real soon and you will hear how many screenings he had to go to..
HILARIOUS
First here are the lastest numbers for Lions for Lambs
Total US Gross $9,552,000
International Gross $12,700,000
Worldwide Gross $22,252,000
Remember its budget sis only 35 million and it surely should make that in its second week. If you call that a bomb then you are sadder than I even thought. The problem is that you are all so used to the big budget Cruise movies which draw in audiences of all genre. This is a serious movie that has a very limited audiences and it is doing very well if you asked me.
Miapocca you are so obsessed with Tom Cruise that one does not have to visit all sites to know there is a sicko running around the net.
yikes.
He’s not far off from this.

You obviously do not understand this, but a movie actually needs to make at least twice its budget to break even for the production company. Then there are marketing costs, etc. LFL probably needs to take in at least $90M to break even from its theater run (obviously this doesn’t include dvd $$).
This is Tom? OMG what an ugly but funny suit :)) I can use something like that to make a joke to my friends http://www.spymac.com/details?2294833
Allow me to share some reviews about TC’S Performance
Cruise, still boyish in a manly way, preens as if he’s back in “Magnolia” making the pitch. Streep snipes back, sulks, takes shorthand notes, gets a bit squishy as Cruise unfolds the flag of duty, honor, country. He makes a confession of Bushian mistakes seem like a rallying cry – the guy is a Karl Rove dream.”

The budget includes marketing costs. It doesn’t matter which actor, this movie is hard to market and even its performance is much better than other war on terror movies released by bigger studios like Rendition. If it wasn’t for United Artists, such an important movie would never have seen the light of day. I didn’t here any one calling Babel a flop when it cost 25 million allegedly and bagged only 35. Never mind that it was easier to sell than Lions for Lambs.
Besides the way it is going, am sure the movie will make 100 million. It clearly is not a money making movie and am sure the intention of the studio was not to make huge amounts off it but to tell an important story.
“Cruise gives one of his finest performances as a senator with an agenda, and Streep proves once again there’s no one better.”

“Meryl Streep is a Judith Miller-type reporter for a cable news network who’s being sold a phony scoop by slick Republican senator Tom Cruise (who steals the movie).”

ew, gross. he looks almost as bad as vanessa looks every day
Getting good reviews doesn’t mean he is a good or decent human being. Some people seem to have forgotten this.
SEXY BEAST.
