Lucas is currently in Japan filming some independent movie and Zac has been in pre-production for his new movie Seventeen, which is why he has not been at many events. Zac is scheduled to be at the premeire of the HSM2 DVD which is tomorrow.

Vanessa and Ashley did a wonderful job presenting at the AMA’s. They were very polished and professional. I’m glad that Jimmy Kimmel’s rude introduction didn’t shake them up. I still can’t believe he said that!!

Fun to see HSM2 win an award! I love Hairspray too, so either one winning would have been great for me.

I agree with everyone that the cast looked fantastic and that the ones who weren’t there were really missed!

I LOVE both of them. They both looksd absolutely GORGEOUS !!! And they kept holding hands when we saw them on stage !! When they got the award and when they presented !! Which means that they are truly best friends forever !! And I REALLY admire that. 121 alexa actually its not weird its just that most fans from the US is already sleeping, and there are few from asia and the pacific. If you’ve notice also there are HSM thread, Vanessa Thread, Ashley thread, Monique thread, so the comments were devided. But if you go to Vanessa thread she pull off a 300++ comments, so i guess no changes for nessa’s huge comments.

In the same spirit that Sarah Silverman trashed Britney after her failed come-back, Jimmy Kimmel has to one-up his girlfriend, so he slams Vanessa and Ashley. Silverman and Kimmel are cut of the same cloth, and hungering to make megawatt names for themselves at the expense of two nice Disney girls.

i honestly think zac didnt go at the AMA’s to avoid overkill. imagine, 2 zanessa public appearances in a row?! im sure they wanted to take off the limelight from them as much as possible. if they show up together at the AMA’s, it’ll just turn out to be the zac and v show… which im sure will happen. the other cast deserve the attention too.

the dvd premiere.. well, zac has to be there. part of their commitment is to promote the soundtrack and dvd. unless, he has some prior commitments already with the seventeen production…

Good morning all. Well, if what one poster wrote is true Zac couldn’t be there because he was busy with some Seventeen pre-production stuff and that was supposingly what Ashley said on kiss radio station. Plus, after I posted on the other thread earlier this morning I thought about the time difference on the east and west coasts. THe show started at 5PM on the west coast which meant most of those people had to be there around 4PM to get in and get to their seats. So, as busy as Zac has been the past couple of weeks it stands to reason that he may have been caught up in a scheduling problem. Then Lucas is a long way from LA and working. Corbin who is on tour must be on his way back to LA since he is scheduled to be there tonight. Actually all of the cast except for Lucas is suppose to be there. Can’t wait. to see it. Plus, if the scheduled time is EST then that means it will start around 2PM in LA. Zac won’t get much workout time today unless he goes early.

Anybody know where Zac was?

They won, wow, and yay, I was really hoping that they would, I mean, the others that were nominated are awesome as well, you can’t deny that however, I dunno, I felt like HSM was the only thing that wasn’t a remake of something that didn’t already exist, HSM is completely original. Anyway, it’s sad that the rest of the cast couldn’t be there, but I’m sure that they had other obligations, and maybe Zac didn’t feel like going because two movies that were up against each other, I know that I would have felt uncomfortable, well, V is still wearing her ring so I doubt that it got anything to do with that.

I have to agree with you on that one, I mean, he even said himself, “High School Musical was going to be like my good bye to this business, I was going to addition and hope to get the part and do the movie and after that I stop acting” well, he might not have said it exactly like that but it was something similar. And he does have HSM to thank for his carer, if he hadn’t done I doubt people would remember him (which is really sad to think about) but he’s usually the only one missing from the events, he did attend to some but not many and usually not if he wasn’t nominated by himself in another category, but who knows, you never know what’s going on in someone else’s head. Oh well, I think some said something about being in the pre-production of ‘Seventeen’ so that might be the reason he didn’t go.

I was able to watch the red carpet interview with Vanessa after all. It was interesting. Shaun Robertson the interviewer was asking her about “HSM3″then started to ask her if that’s really what she wanted to do. I had a feeling that it was getting dangerously close to areas that Vanessa clearly didn’t want to go if you take my meaning.

She is a true beauty. I’m glad she’s stepping out and not making it about “who she’s with.” I’m a little surprised her second album isn’t coming out til after HSM3 does. That’s almost a year from now. I’d think she’d want to get that album out fast and try to build on the popularity she has now.

But good for her for walking that red carpet and braving the interviewers. It has to be a little nerve racking just under regular circumstances, let alone this soon after her scandal and she has to always wonder if interviewers are going to try asking slightly uncomfortable questions, since that’s what they do sometimes. And she’s got her cell phone on, waiting for her agent to update her! I think she’d like to get good news about roles she’s auditioned for right away. Hopefully something is coming her way soon.

I agree. There were many people who said that they didn’t deserve it, and that it was all a popularity contest. Wow… Even saying that only little kids like their song. Thinking about it that way, I can’t help but wonder if 14 years old and under even have time to go online and keep on voting.

I just hate it when people complain complain and bi**h about it. If they have the time to do that, why didn’t they make sure that they had an account and vote for HS and DG instead? But nooooo, of course they didn’t. Because they already predicted that HSM was going to win, so they didn’t bother. *shakes head* If that was the case, stop moaning about it!! Just STFU and move on. You’re not happy, but there are alot of people who does and alot of people who believes that HSM deserves it. And it’s demeaning to the people who believes it and the people who took the time to vote when they keep on bi**hing about. It’s fine to put your opinion, but to demean the other people’s choice is just soo rude. (And yes, I know some people here knows what I’m talking about, and it’s even ruder that they did it in a place where HSM fans would visit. Guys - this was MUSIC awards show! Zac is not pursuing a music career and he definitely does not need to go out just for the exposure, so why would he go? Apparently Disney didn’t feel it necessary to have all of them there to represent HSM2 Soundtrack or they would have most likely all been there. He can’t do anything right now without it becoming a circus - I surely don’t blame him for avoiding the frenzy. Vanessa didn’t need his “support” at this function - she held her own quite nicely.

I hope that someday you younger posters will learn that a real relationship allows you to carry someone with you in your heart so that you are never alone - it doesn’t go away just because they aren’t physically standing next to you. A good partner will strengthen you, not re-define you.

It’s great that these posts are here to update us on our favorite stars and it’s fun to comment on them, but all of the speculation is senseless and destructive.

When I saw that X-17 had posted a retraction to their previous “story” (there may be innocent children and so I don’t want to damage their young eyes by calling what it really was) I thought well maybe somebody over there just might have half the common sense and conscience that the Good Lord gave a chick pea. Alas that is not the case. I let my curiosity get the better of me and I went and looksee and what did I find: They took back they said before sure enough but they ended it with an out-and-out slap to Vanessa’s face. They said it still looked like Vanessa was trying to pour on the charm with Jared and flat out told Ashley to watch her back.

This is what I get: X-17 is known for the compassion they show Britany Spears. That’s fine the, that poor woman is such a mess that it would be cruel to kick any further when she is all ready so far down I don’t think she’ll ever get back up. So compassion for Britany even after all her stupid, self-destructive stunts is a good thing. But why do they turn around and spray all this venom directed at a girl who did ONE thing. A girl who shows NO pattern of this kind of behavior outside this one incident. I just don’t get it.

And I don’t know if it was ever proven correct but supposingly Ashley said he was working on Seventeen on some radio station interview so don’t be so hard on Zac. After all, the AMA’s started at 5PM in LA which means those people had to be there around 4PM so Zac may have not been able to get there so early. It didn’t kill anybody that he wasn’t there. HALF of the cast were there and I don’t think the other HALF were jerks because they weren’t.

If, you guessed V, you win! She was the only picture they printed from the AMA’s with a short story about HSM2’s win, how she ’shone’ in her gold dress and was really cute. The only other thing they mentioned from the AMA’s was Justin Timberlake’s two awards because he is in Australia right now.

Hello fellow ZA’s, V and Z Supporters, and anyone else who posts positive things about V….First of all, I want to say that I was just blown away by Vanessa’s gorgeousness at the AMA’s…I’m so proud of her and how far she’s come. She looked the best by far and exuded a lot of poise and courage…she seems to be such a strong person. I know she will succeed in life no matter what happens. Ashley looked pretty, but I personally did not care for her dress, but I applaud her for standing by her bff V…after all, that’s what friends are for.
