High School Musical Cast @ 2007 American Music Awards
Actresses Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale take to the stage during the 2007 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on November 18, 2007.

Vanessa looks more than beautiful on that dress, gold is the best colour for her. The rest of the cast also do great!!!
I miss Zac, but I think that it would have been really awkward for him to be nominated twice in the same category. With whom he most sit?, with Amanda and Queen?, or with Vanessa and Ashley?. With wathever he had seated it would have caused polemic, if he had seated with the HSM cast, they would have said because he already knew he was going to win with the HSM soundtrack, or vice versa. And also it would have been really weird while accepting the award. So whatever was the thing that stop him for going, I think it was the clever decision not to go.
I am really happy that HSM won, I really think that Hairspray have got better music, but I totally love and prefer the HSM one, and also because in HSM, all the songs are completely new, which is not the case with Hairspray.
Hairspray can go for the oscars with two songs, “Come so far” and “Ladies choice” both sang by Zac, because both are new songs. I really hope that one of them get nominated, so we can see Zac performing at the kodak theather, and maybe he can bring Vanessa as his companion.
Hoping for a Zanessa sighting tonight!!!

#28 it’s people like you, who ttear down a you girl, who you know nothing aboutshe was 15 going on 16 when that pic was taken of her for herself privately. It was illgal for it to put on the web or to be published it’s considered child porn and there is a law against it even though she has turned 18. The are alot of girls that take pictures of themselves, put their not famous so they don’t get published. She was raised with goes morals and even girls raised with good morals are not always comfortable in their own skin they think their ti fat where do you think anerxic’s and blulics come from.
She and all the cast looked good, but Vanessa and Ashley looked the best, except Ryan Sanborn he looked as if he just got out of bead, and Zac was a jerk as far as I’m concerned he could have taken one night to go to an important event as the AMA’s it wouldn’t have killed him. Akimmel needs to have his ears boxed for the remark that he made about Vanessa and Ashley, I bet he heard about it when he got back stage.

how is zac a jerk for not going? maybe he was sick, maybe it was family, maybe he stayed home to let v and them have the spotlight (you know how nice of a guy he is, and you know how popular he is right now) also did you ever think that maybe he is just do work for 17? we still have hope for tonight so stop worrying. at least we got a smiling vanessa with a kuippo ring. no worries
Hi, Angels! I watched last night, but couldn’t stay up to see all the pics here on JJ. The cast looked great, very mature! Ashley looked beautiful, but I do think Vanessa looked just stunning. I knew they would coordinate- the silver and gold together was perfect! And they did a great job presenting!!
I’m also glad HSM won over Hairspray. I do love both soundtracks, but for this event, I think HSM was the best choice here. It WAS the favorite, and on the charts for much longer than Hairspray, so I think that it was obviously the people’s choice. Hairspray will have it’s day, when the Academy Awards and Grammys come along. I’m sure it will be nominated!!
It’s too bad for us that Zac decided not to attend last night, but I can see why he may not have. I agree with a previous poster that it would have been awkward for him as to where to sit, and to have both his soundtracks up for the same award. I think he probably felt Vanessa should shine on her own ( and she sure did), and knew Ashley would be great support for her there. But I don’t think it was because he was busy with “Seventeen”. Come on, it was a Sunday night…he had all weekend to study lines if he needed to. It is possible though that he had a really early call this a.m. and just didn’t want to be out too late, knowing he’d be out tonight too. Just guessing…..

When I saw that X-17 had posted a retraction to their previous “story” (there may be innocent children and so I don’t want to damage their young eyes by calling what it really was) I thought well maybe somebody over there just might have half the common sense and conscience that the Good Lord gave a chick pea. Alas that is not the case. I let my curiosity get the better of me and I went and looksee and what did I find: They took back they said before sure enough but they ended it with an out-and-out slap to Vanessa’s face. They said it still looked like Vanessa was trying to pour on the charm with Jared and flat out told Ashley to watch her back.
This is what I get: X-17 is known for the compassion they show Britany Spears. That’s fine the, that poor woman is such a mess that it would be cruel to kick any further when she is all ready so far down I don’t think she’ll ever get back up. So compassion for Britany even after all her stupid, self-destructive stunts is a good thing. But why do they turn around and spray all this venom directed at a girl who did ONE thing. A girl who shows NO pattern of this kind of behavior outside this one incident. I just don’t get it.

Is Corbin, Lucas, or Chris jerks because they did not go? Zac does have other obligations right now. And I don’t know if it was ever proven correct but supposingly Ashley said he was working on Seventeen on some radio station interview so don’t be so hard on Zac. After all, the AMA’s started at 5PM in LA which means those people had to be there around 4PM so Zac may have not been able to get there so early. It didn’t kill anybody that he wasn’t there. HALF of the cast were there and I don’t think the other HALF were jerks because they weren’t.

I don’t really get it either, I mean, technically, the only musicals that have shown up lately that are original is HSM, that’s why I loved the fact that they won, I haven’t seen ‘Dreamgirls’ but that isn’t original either and ‘Hairspray’ is the least original one out of all of them, however, I loved the movie and all the actors in it and I think that it was a great re-make, but some of the awards they have been nominated for because of it I think is a little over the top, but then again, it’s not my decision and I’m not saying that they don’t deserve it, because they have, I’m just happy that in this case, HSM 2 won.
And thanks ellie, I don’t really keep up with that but I have heard the song, I didn’t know that it was an original but in that case, yes, I do hope they get nominated and win, I really liked it and maybe they’ll prefore, but who knows, hopefully Zac will bring V to that, if he’s invited although, maybe she gets an invitation as well, not just through Zac…well, you know what I mean.
And the HSM alphabet, I loved it.
