Hairspray Hits Thanksgiving Day Parade
Nikki Blonsky and the dancers from Hairspray will sing and dance to a rousing performance of “You Can’t Stop The Beat” on Thursday’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
The Hair Hoppers will ride the parade route on board the Great American Diner float in support of the November 20 DVD release of Hairspray.
Tune In Thursday, November 23 at 9AM.

im going!! :] but i dont think zac will be in it, because he isnt signed up and he probably will be with his fam. plus hes not for the whole performing live thing, only times i have seen him do it was while he was promoting. cant wait to see it though!

I know I’m sooooooooo freakin’ excited for this dvd. I just wish it was Tuesday already.
i actually think he was being a gentleman by not going. it doesnt mean he likes v any bit less, or didnt WANT to go. did you ever think maybe he didnt go because he had work, for 17 or something? maybe he was sick. OR he wanted the cast and v to have the spotlight. hes an actor, not a singer, yes he did 2 musicals but he even stated he doesnt want that to be his main thing. the singing thing was for ash and v, they were the main people there. kaycee, ryne and monique were also there probably because wanted to support v and ash and also because they play big parts in hsm, which was up for an award. zac deff knows how popular he is and he probably knows that if he went, the attention would be on him. he probably wanted it to be vs night, like she did for him when he went to the hollywood film festival. hairspray was up for an award, not hsm, if she went the attention would probably be focused more on her or the relationship.
You know the more you make fun of a person the more jealious you look. Nikki is an amazing girl with amazing talent but there are some people that can’t look past her size?
When did size have anything to do with talent? How many times have you guys been told you couldn’t do this or that because you didn’t look the part? how did that make you feel? You guys should think about that stuff before you write stupid crap!
Grow up people! Great things come in little packages! and Nikki is proof of that. She has more talent in one finger than most of you have in your whole body!

Enough with the “fat” comments. This girl is talented, pretty and very successful. It’s a shame to come here and still have such vile comments about her from such idiotic people. The movie conveyed an important message about acceptance that obviously many still do not get.
Also go post about Zac and Vanessa somewhere else. This is about Nikki and Hairspray.

Everything I’ve seen indicates that Nikki is a sweet, genuine, intelligent, down-to-earth, talented, and hilarious girl! She seems like she would be so much fun to hang out with. Not to mention the fact that she’s just absolutely beautiful. If I swung that way, I’d totally be after her. :D

Mike it is great to get a guys opinion on Nikki. Nikki really is a very talented person who will go very far in the business. I can’t wait to see what other projects she becomes involved with I think alot of people could learn so much from just the way she carries herself.
Nikki is a very talented young lady, with a great future ahead of her. She was a one-in-a-million find, and everybody she worked with on Hairspray just adores her! She is so kind, working for Special Olympics, and is inspirational to young women everywhere!
Since some of you mentioned Zac, he is a great supporter of her, and has called her his best friend many times. He has also talked about how beautiful, intelligent, funny, poised, and talented she is. So, if you’re here to bash her, but then say you like Zac, you should realize that he wouldn’t like what you are saying one bit.

Yeah, it’s almost Tuesday!! I’m having my GF’s over for a “Hairspray” premiere party, and we’re going to have 60’s inspired snacks! Can’t wait!
As far as Nikki goes, she was perfect for this movie! She was born to play that role. I just think she’s going to be limited in the kinds of roles she’ll be able to play. Don’t get me wrong, but Hollywood hasn’t changed overnight! But I do honestly wish her luck!
And yes, Zac is a good friend and supporter; in an interview, he said she’s like a sister. And the rest of the cast thought she was great too! Hope this is the start of nice things for her!
Finally, Jared, you have realized that this girl deserves her own recognition.

I hop Zac doesn’t go, Nikki thinks of Zac as more then BFF or she wouldn’t be kissing on him all the time when he has a girlfriend. I don’t care that she is heavey, it is the way that she acts around Zac and the last time at and award show you can tell that he stayed as far away from her when he could and then only took 2 picture’s with her and he was looking in a different direction. Like he is tired of her acting the way that she does.

In response to your comment, no i did not notice Zac trying to be as far away from nikki as possible. The reason i didn’t notice might be that i was too busy looking at pics where Zac is either walking in front or behind you know who, is arguing in a car w/ her, or simply has an annoyed, “i wish i was anywhere but here look” in his face. lol
