Hairspray Hits Thanksgiving Day Parade
Nikki Blonsky and the dancers from Hairspray will sing and dance to a rousing performance of “You Can’t Stop The Beat” on Thursday’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
The Hair Hoppers will ride the parade route on board the Great American Diner float in support of the November 20 DVD release of Hairspray.
Tune In Thursday, November 23 at 9AM.

I can’t wait to hear her sing, I know she will be amazing as usually and I am so excited for the DVD. I don’t think I have ever been this pumped for a DVD. hehe

I know I’m sooooooooo freakin’ excited for this dvd. I just wish it was Tuesday already.
i actually think he was being a gentleman by not going. it doesnt mean he likes v any bit less, or didnt WANT to go. did you ever think maybe he didnt go because he had work, for 17 or something? maybe he was sick. OR he wanted the cast and v to have the spotlight. hes an actor, not a singer, yes he did 2 musicals but he even stated he doesnt want that to be his main thing. the singing thing was for ash and v, they were the main people there. kaycee, ryne and monique were also there probably because wanted to support v and ash and also because they play big parts in hsm, which was up for an award. zac deff knows how popular he is and he probably knows that if he went, the attention would be on him. he probably wanted it to be vs night, like she did for him when he went to the hollywood film festival. hairspray was up for an award, not hsm, if she went the attention would probably be focused more on her or the relationship.
You know the more you make fun of a person the more jealious you look. Nikki is an amazing girl with amazing talent but there are some people that can’t look past her size?
When did size have anything to do with talent? How many times have you guys been told you couldn’t do this or that because you didn’t look the part? how did that make you feel? You guys should think about that stuff before you write stupid crap!
Grow up people! Great things come in little packages! and Nikki is proof of that. She has more talent in one finger than most of you have in your whole body!
when the bashing starts. this is when I realize that people weren’t really watching Hairspray at all. they obviously didn’t get the message of what the movie’s all about.

Enough with the “fat” comments. This girl is talented, pretty and very successful. It’s a shame to come here and still have such vile comments about her from such idiotic people. The movie conveyed an important message about acceptance that obviously many still do not get.
Also go post about Zac and Vanessa somewhere else. This is about Nikki and Hairspray.
So great to read about her again. Thanks JJ for some more Nikki coverage. Can’t wait to see her in the parade. The DVD is out tomorrow and I am dying to purchase it.

Doris I agree with everything you said. I have read and listened to many of her interviews and she is just as sweet and real as the character she plays.
