OlderKanye West Rocks GQ’s Men of the Year
Kanye West is on one of three separate Men of the Year covers for GQ magazine per USA Today.
The others cover stars are Bill Clinton and Daniel Craig. The issue hit newsstands Nov. 27.
Kanye doesn’t talk about his mother to the magazine, but he does discuss the possibility of marriage to his fiancee, Alexis Phifer.
“I’m just going to go and get married,” Kanye said. “I’m not going to make a big deal out of it. It’s not to prove anything to anyone — it’s for me, for stability in my life, and I’m so happy that I found someone that I really love, that challenges me, that keeps my life interesting, that’s just as crazy as I am.”

I love Kanye West and wish him and his lady the best of luck - even though he should be with me, I hope he’s happy. He’s a gorgeous and talented man.
I really feel for him with what he’s going through. Nothing compares to losing your mother (I lost mine suddenly and unexpectedly, too, a little over a year ago.). I’m glad to see his fans pouring out their love and support - he’ll need both.
That was so sad. All the time you hear about celebrity’s parents dying. But with Kanye it’s like a lot of people felt his pain, including me. You could tell he abd his mom had a very strong relationship, and it’s such an unfortunate and devastating loss.
His mom died so suddenly. What a shock. At 58! I don’t know what I would do. How tragic. Maybe she rest in peace. What a sad story.

He/She is clearly knowledging Kanye’s pain, and is simply considering that maybe it could theoretically be a publicity stunt. Thing is, it’s obviously not a publicity stunt.
But damn, don’t burn him/her at the stake for just being sceptical.
If alex did not show any compassion for Kanye, then ok he/she deserve all the remarks. But it seems clear to me that alex is feeling ashamed of even thinking about something like that! To me that’s the sign of someone decent enough.
Everyone deal with grief their own way. When my grandfather died, I went to school, passed tests, etc. When my best friend’s dad passed away, she “disappeared” for two weeks because she wanted to be alone.

I believe Kanye did the show, because it is what his mother would have wanted him to do. RIP Dr. Donda West.
He is grieving, but through his grief his mother would want him to go on with the show. Kanye, stay strong, you have a lot of people pulling for you out here. Our hearts are with you. May God grant you peace and comfort in this time of great loss. RIP Dr. Donda West.

i’m french and i went to this concert so i can tell you he was not faking it was so sad but he did an EXCELLENT show and even my aunt who saw the rolling stone in concert told me she had never saw a show as good as this one (sorry for my english)
