Wow, she’s a kid. Leave her alone! I’m sure she isn’t the only little girl in her class with excessive hairyness. I’m sure Madonna feels Lourdes is too young to worry about this. I’m also sure Lourdes is asking her mother to please help her out there! I had the same problem–although mine wasn’t so overly excessive. IT could be the resolution.

Girls who worry about eyebrows at 11 are probably getting “C”s in school. Smart girls and smart parents could not care less about these issues. Lourdes’s manin concern should be passing English and math not doing her DARN eyebrows! That is why girls can turn into bimbos by focusing on dumb stuff at 11 years old! You folks are shallow.

Funny, I have waxed my lip and eyebrows since I was 13 or 14. I managed to get A’s and B’s. I even went to college and got a degree and now I have a job and manage to pay bills and everything. Wanting to be well-groomed has no relation to intelligence. If it’s so noticable that it’s THE FIRST AND ONLY THING PEOPLE SEE when her picture is posted, then it should be dealt with.

Kudos to Madonna for putting her daughter’s interests (education, intelligence, self-confidence) first as priorities and sticking her finger at all those members of the public who feel they have the right to dictate the dipilatory habits of her child. I wouldn’t have thought it of Madonna (the Queen of Excess) but I admire her for letting her child enjoy her short years of freedom. Imagine the alternative: every 2-4 weeks worrying about waxing or shaving or bleaching, rash, pimples, ingrown hairs…etc. . I HATE these hair-removing methods as an adult and it’s so pre-occupying. It would be even worse for a PRE-TEEN!!!!!

Lola is a beautiful girl, she’s going to be gorgeous when she grows up. It’s silly to criticize a little girl for not waxing her face. These are all American habits: little girls with painted nails, makeup and sexed-up before their time, just like JonBenet. She’s a child and should not be made self-aware of her looks at such an early age. When she’s 12 or 13, she’ll probably ask to have it done but Madonna is right not to make her feel bad about the way she looks. She’s gorgeous anyway. Rocco looks like a prankster, I agree.

Maybe Lourdes likes her brows? Maybe she doesn’t care? Maybe she is just fine with how she looks, and not self-conscious at all about it (which is great for a pre-teen, actually). Either way, my goodness, she looks like she is going to be quite a stunner when she grows up. (BTW, if you look close, her brother appears to have the same Madge’s same hair pattern.)

Um, you CAN worry about both your looks AND school, at any age. Nobody is advocating her to start wearing makeup or anything like that, we just think she would be prettier if she did something about that terrible mustache and those horrid eyebrows! She is a gorgeous little girl, but that excess facial and eyebrow hair makes her look foul, and I think it is cruel of a parent to NOT do something about that. It just opens your kid up to teasing and crap, if you let them walk around with a mustache and a unibrow. It is definitely NOT unreasonable to fix a problem like that…how is it any different from getting braces for your kid? How is it different from styling your child’s hair, or dressing them nicely? Should children just walk around looking unkempt, because they “shouldn’t worry about their looks”? Appearance should not be everything in life, but why subject yourself to torment if you have an easily fixable flaw like Lourdes does? Regardless of what some of you think, being well-groomed is NOT a bad thing, even for a younger child like Lourdes!
Besides, whoever said that girls who care about their looks are getting “C’s” in school is just ridiculous. One has nothing to do with the other. I cared about my appearance in school, and I managed to get good grades. Blanket statements like that are just ignorant. Now, if Lourdes was OBSESSED with her looks, and started getting bad grades in school, then I could see a problem. However, did you ever think that all that excess facial hair could CAUSE severe self-esteem issues if she is teased about it? Children are cruel, and anyone who looks different can become the focus of mean-spirited teasing. It is not a good thing, but it is common, and if Lourdes was my child, I certainly would do whatever I had to do to ensure that she would be happy, well-adjusted, and healthy. I do not think that facial hair is in any way a positive thing, and in fact, I think it is quite cruel of Madonna to NOT do something about it. Getting rid of that mustache and the unibrow will not necessarily lead to Lourdes becoming a vapid, shallow, self-obsessed narcissist, and I think it could only lead to positive things, like increased self-esteem and less teasing. But hey, what do I know? I was plucking my eyebrows at age 14, so I must be a dumb *****!
The fact that Lourdes looks happy and confident about her looks shows that she has no problem with her eyebrows. If other kids were making fun of her eyebrows then I’m sure she would tell her mom and they would do something about it. I saw Lourdes walking with her dad in New York and she is a beautiful child, eyebrows and all. In fact, you don’t even notice her eyebrows cuz what stands out are her incredibly long and thick eyelashes. Wait a few more years and she will be stunning.

How is she “not good enough” because people think her eyebrows and mustache are out of control? Would you feel “not good enough” if your parents made you get braces to straighten your teeth? Would you feel “not good enough” if your parents expected you to wear socks that match, or clothes that weren’t dirty, stained or torn? Besides, it looks like she’s wearing lipstick in these pictures, so if she is allowed to do that, then she should be fixing that excess facial hair. Lourdes is a GORGEOUS little girl, and I do not think anyone is saying that she is “not good enough” because of her unfortunate hair problem. I just think, while she is a beautiful kid, she could be even MORE attractive if she took care of that very minor issue. How is that a bad thing? Being concerned about your looks is just a part of life, and if you are not obsessive about it, it can be a good thing. It can instill self-esteem, pride, and good grooming habits. Those are all very necessary things in life, and to pretend like they aren’t is just doing a disservice to the children who are in need of a little help in the grooming department. If I were her mother, and she asked me if she were allowed to pluck, I would allow her. I don’t think that makes me shallow.

haha Little Lourdes is growing and there come growth spurs and everything, really.. Do you expect that celebrities children are and look perfect? People are so judgemental, imagune if you had to live your life as if was a parade, not your school, but gossipers all over the world as well.
I think that for the moment, Lourdes must be well grounded and later she will please you all and will look as everybody else.
I am a jr. high teacher and in my experience in my country I can say that (generaly)when a 7th grader starts plucking her eyebrows and worrying about her looks, then is time to worry about her grades coming down for a while at least, I’ve noticed it too many times, that is a visible sign of the other interests of youth appearing (since I work in public schools where kids use uniform, and make up is also not allowed.

Most parent kiss their kids goodnight….I wonder how many of Lourdes eyebrow hairs Madonna has had to pull out of her mouth. I don’t give a crap how old she is if she is old enough to grow it she is old enough to wax that **** off. I know…I am Italian and had very thick eyebrows at a young age…mom never did **** about it so out of embarrassment I took the tweezers and tried to fix it myself. Bad idea, I went from having a unibrow to having a gap about 3 inches long between what was left of my unibrow. My mom felt like crap after that realizing how having the extra facial hair affected me. Let’s be hones here…it is not like she has a few stray hairs…she could donate that **** to a Cancer Center. Madonna should be ashamed of herself!

i wonder if lourdes lives in a bubble with private teachers and no contact with other kids or if madonna carefully chooses her friends so they won’t tell her about her looks and the latest fashion. It looks like she has a childhood with no pressure to grow up, like it used to be in the past, i think she is lucky. I say this because if Lourdes had to go to regular school here where I live, kids would treat her like garbage because of her facial hair. The little girls would either want to make a makeover or they would ostracize her. Im not going to lie, i would nair that unibrow, and mustache on my daughter. Shes gonna grow up and laugh at those pics though! But one thing is she is a really pretty little girl, i can definately see her being beautiful when she grows up.
Madonna is like Demi Moore, obsessed with her own appearance, yet they should help out their daughters. She must get teased, kids can be cruel. She probably would be grateful to get her face waxed.

I agree with BrownEyes, she’s only 11 years old you bunch of morons! Kids always look awkward at that age, I’m sure most of you weren’t exactly beauty pageant material at that age either, much less now for that matter.
Her mother had the same hair issues when she was younger and she cleaned up pretty well. I’m sure Lourdes will be stunning once she matures, at least she’ll live better than most of you hating losers will.

I think she’s gorgeous. Its kinda insane how Rocco is a spitting image of his father, and even with traces of her spanish dad, Lourdes looks EXACTLY like her mother circa the La Isla Bonita/True Blue/Papa Don’t Preach/Open Your Heart days. I’m talking eyebrows and everything. That child is Italian, french canadian and cuban spanish–WHAT a combination! She’s going to grow up to be a knockout, just watch.
I applaud Madonna not changing her daughter’s appearance. If she had her pluck her eyebrows, etc, there would be just as many of you on this blog complaining that Madonna is trying to change her appearance. She is so young, too young for all of the negativity you are spewing at her, and too young to try to look like a celebrity.

Madonna is half Italian and she is a hairy beast herself so it isn’t just Lourdes’ latin roots causing the hair issue. Poor Lourdes got hit with the hairy Italian/Cuban combo.
My family is latino and NONE of us are hairy in any way.
Surprised to see neither of Madonna’s kids got her pretty eye color, but they did get her pretty eye shape.

Paola- I don’t think having a cuban parent has anything to do with her being hairy, that unibrow comes from Madonna, if you’ve seen her child pictures you’d realize Madonna had a huge one. And that goes to everyone making comments about the kid being hairy because of her “latino” side that’s the rudest **** i’ve ever heard!
I agree that an 11 year old should not be obsessing with appearance BUT Lourdes’ facial hair is an exception. I see a tell-all in her future. There is no way a little girl wants to walk around like that. Her eyebrows and mustache are extreme. Poor girl. She is clearly very pretty. Madonna had that same unibrow for years. She didn’t know she should wax it until a stylist told her.
Madonna probably has some rule that Lourdes has to reach a certain age first before she starts waxing and that all that stuff doesn’t matter anyway. I think there is never a threshold for good grooming and the little girl’s self esteem has to be affected by her appearance.
