what the hell is up with that comment? Nicole is very fortunate to have such a close, loyal and loving frined who has always stood by her. Paris has made some mistakes, but she is nothing like the tabloid-internet-gossip-created-image she is portrayed as. She is a genunely good and decent person, yet she has shouldered all the crap with dignity and grace.

Further, it is Nicole who is the bigger screw-up when it comes to drugs and alcohol, but Paris always takes more heat on this score. why? Again, internet and tabloid gossip that continues to generate a false image of paris. Once they decide what makes money, they dont quit it, ie when they decide who’ll they’ll portray as the good girl and who they’ll portray as the bad girl. Notice how guys are never so harshly judged?

Getting back to who is the better friend…it’s Nicole who has cleverly distanced herself from Paris just to help rehab her own image. what a bad friend! She’ll do anything to keep Joel, even if it means throwing paris under the bus by feeding the gossip-machine image that paris is a bad influence on her. Truth be told, it’s the other way around. But again, Paris and Nicky have always stood by Nicole because they were raised as sisters. Just who do yout think always took Nicole in and took care of her as their own child when Lionel and Brenda were in the midst of a nasty break-up? It was the Hilton family!!!

And now the thanks they get for it is Lionel publically back-handing them with a series of comments ripe with innuendo blaming “other people and the Beverley Hills values and community, (ie the Hiltons) that Nicole was exposed to when growing up” for all her problems, in contrast to his own, better upbringing. Geez, way to play to stereotypes, Lionel! Let’s see now, poor, black folks are automatically good, noble people, while rich white folks are automatically bad people with no morals. What rubbish! Yet, Nicole herself has said it was her parents break-up that really hurt her.

Nicole is dumb like a fox, she’s very subtle and knows Paris will get the blame if they spilt apart, so she can have her cake and eat it too. Ditch Paris, blame the distance on ‘growing aprt dueto being a parent” and yet look like the good person.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Nicole, but Nicole despite her own antics, has always gotten a free pass from complete accountablity. Again, why? Simple, people have a warm-fuzzy forgiving nature for her because she is Lionel Richie’s daugher and he has a very a positve media image. A Lot of people still really love him based on his music success.

Whereas Paris is simply known to most people as being a Hilton and that touches a nerve with people who are biased against wealthy families, and automatically assume their kids are spoiled. What BS! The Hilton family has a strong work ethic, wht they have , they have earned honestly. Also, Paris has been working professionally since she was 16 years old. The whole “famous for being famous” baloney is a Page 6 creation from when she was only 15 years old, but it has been used against her ever since.

Meanwhile, just what has Nicole done that didn’t come from being on the Simple Life with Paris? The answer to that would be nothing. Plus, what Ric Salomon did to Paris by releasing that stupid tape has always fallen more negativley on Paris than on him. And yes, paris was going to clubs as the whole internet media was emerging and she got caught doing things on camera that everybody does, but again the gossip sites are not very forgiving of her.

Side note, i love when celebs who are 40 plus years old criticize today’s young stars. Think back, when older stars were young, they did plenty of stupid things too, but fortunately for them the internet, cell phones and digital cameras didn’t exist then. if it did, they’d be hurt by it as well. Paris and Nicole and their genration ar the first to come of age during he internet-technology revolution and they have paid dearly for it. Stars who came before them never had to deal with it and the ones coming up after them have benefitted by learning from this generation’s experiences.

Think peole, think. Everthing is not always how it appears. Look beyond the crap tabloids are feeding you, no matter how much other media outlets, who don’t independently fact check today, just pick up the gossip and run with it.

Back onpoint, in short, Paris gets a bad rap and Nicole knows that but will exploit it for her own PR gain. Not a good friend at all.
