Does Oprah pay for this stuff herself or do the companies donate the products?
I’m pretty sure that Oprah pays for it all. She’s one of the richest in the world, afterall.
I would keep everything else but I would definitely sell that overpriced refrigerator and use the cash and purchase vacation to Maui.
I agree with #2, this is just things that people don’t really NEED but WANT to have. So it doesn’t really help for people to have these things unless they sell it and get cash for it to pay bills.

I believe most of it is donated but she probably purchase some things. Besides what company would not want to donate what a hundred units of their product to sell thousands more because it was featured on “The Oprah Show”.

Of course Oprah DOESN’T PAY. Oprah is a business woman the companies get FREE ADVERTISING on Oprah. Haven’t you guys heard about product placements and marketing? Oprah is targeting her demographic audience she is a very smart business woman. Oprah’s staff has conducted RESEARCH FOR MONTHS making SURE she has the right age, income, class, ect that the companies also use for their own research. Its smart business and its a good for ratings too!

Oprah is putting her money where her mouth is. her target group is largely middle-class, caucasian baby boomers! That’s why she is selling luxury.
I really would like to see her have an exact show like this but the audience are those who cannot really afford these and desire to have some luxuries in life.
I agree with #24, she is selling luxuries.
We got that she loves those things ‘coz she can afford them. It is kinda like she’s saying… “I’m rich and you are not! I know what are the best out there.”
