OlderAngelina’s Adopted Daughter Conceived During Rape?
The Ethiopian baby adopted by Angelina Jolie was conceived after her mother was raped, reports Reuters.
Mentwabe Dawit, mother of two-year-old Zahara, claims she was 24-years-old when she attacked one evening in 2004 after a day’s work at a construction site in the southern Ethiopian town of Awasa.
“[A man approached me in the darkness.] He pulled a dagger, put one hand on my mouth, so that I could not scream. He then raped me and disappeared,” Mentwabe said with tears streaming down her face. “[I kept the assault a secret because] I feared the consequences of being raped in a community where rape is considered a taboo, even if what happened happened forcibly.”
Mentwabe gave birth in the family’s earth-floored house and she named the little girl Yemsrach which means good news in the Amharic language.
“I was unable to feed Yemsrach,” Mentwabe said. “My baby was on the verge of death. She became malnourished and was even unable to cry. I was desperate and decided to run away, rather than see my child dying… “I have never disputed the adoption of my baby by Angelina Jolie. I think my daughter is a very fortunate human being to be adopted by a world famous lady. I wish them both all the success they deserve.”
There’s also a video report of Mentwabe talking about how fortunate Zahara is to have been adopted by Angelina.

I`m not sure If she is real mother or not because I heard this kind of story some years ago too.BTW she is beautiful lady.But I`m so happy for Z to have many good things in her life now.

That’s so sad but Zahara is truly blessed to be with Angelina and Brad and it’s best for everybody. Im Ethiopian so I can relate to her. Both my parents, me, and my bro speak Amaharic and I’ve been to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia countless times. im going again this summer. You can also tell from my name.
Wow, Z does look alot like her natural mother. I hope she is given the chance one day to meet her real mother. I think that would be nice. B & A seem to be good parents and by looking at all of their children, have taken good care of them.

I agree with Coco. Nothing supports this woman’s claim. The grandmother and adoption agency both agree that the mother is dead. This woman is not the first to come forth and claim she is Zahara’s birth mother.
Feel sorry for her. I feel for the woman her decision to put her up for adoption. Hopefully she’ll get to meet her in the future.

Z’s mom is very pretty
The mother probably gets paid a lot to come out now. She left her baby and ran away, now back to get media spotlight. I can understand if she couldnt afford to feed the baby and give the baby up to an orphanage or adoption center but now she’s out to speak to the media. Good for Z that now her mom is AJ. Her bio mom seems immature and care more about herself.

Something odd is occurring in the media this week. First Us Weekly decides to dig up a story about a suicide in Britney Spear’s family. And now a respected news wire is talking about a child being a result of rape. Is there any respect for family and privacy? I have nothing against this woman, I don’t believe she is the mother, but do we all need to know this? What about Zahara? the Spear’s family? This need to exploit people has reached so far that nothing crosses the line anymore. Anything and everything is supposed to be our business. This does not sit well with me.
Whoever this woman is I wish her luck in her life.
The woman has resemblance to Zahara, that much is undeniable. However, I’m not convinced that this is her birth mom, and I won’t be convinced until there’s proof.
Hmmm this is the third Mother that tabs have found to be Zahara’s Mother. However, I wish the woman in the story truth and peace. Zahara is a beautiful, blessed child. She is loved by BP and AJ. AJ is a dedicated humanitarian, Mother and Partner. This cannot be taken away from her no matter how many false tabs stories and smear campaigns. AJ is someone that I admire and I wish her all the best. It is sad that with all the problems in the world, media and tabs focus on a woman with a good heart. AJ is merely trying to make a difference and raise her children. Hens, rags and troublemakers really should move on with their lives. BP and AJ are good people with good hearts. Excuse me but this is more exploitation of a woman who may have been raped. What on earth does this have to do on a celebrity blog? How does she know it was her child that was given to Angelina & Brad? her child could be dead for all we know. Does the adoption agency notify the people who gave them up that the child has been adopted and by whom? I think not. This whole story is very unseemly and needs to end NOW.
I am happy that Z has a good home and all, but for you to be so blantantly kissing the Jolie-Pitt’s asses is disgusting!
why does this have to come out to the public.what is behind all of this?sometime it looks like big money is out their trying to bring angie down,like maybe some high powered people with money,like multi millionaires.to me someone is trying their best to dig trash on angie.
Zahara is a ver blessed little lady. Thank GOD for people like Angie who not only have substantial financial means but put it to good use.
the jolie pitts are wonderful people for doing what they do for the children with no chance of survival in other countries. i can’t imagine zahara would be smiling like that, if she still lived in her home country.
We don’t know that this story is true. And it’s none of our business. Why do you put up stories like this for discussion? When Zee grows up, no matter what the truth is (and it’s not our right to know), she’s going to have to live with all these stories that you’ve helped to circulate being whispered –that’s an awful lot for a little girl to handle. Well, I think I’ve been cured of my JJ addiction.
NO Why Angie should let her see Z?she doesn`t have any right now toward Z.call me heartless,but while Z is small they shouldn`t take her to see her real mother(If and big if she is for real not another money maker out of lies).and when she becomes older that will be her choice whether she wants to see her or not.

The press doesn’t know that he adopted her because they don’t have access to the adoption papers, thank goodness.
