OlderBrad Pitt Drops ‘State of Play’
Brad Pitt has dropped out of State of Play and Universal Pictures is currently trying to replace him, according to Variety.
If Brad’s character doesn’t recast and get the picture going by Nov. 29, it will begin losing the other actors in the film and Universal can bring a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Brad was set to star alongside Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn in the Matthew Michael Carnahan-scripted adaptation of the British miniseries. Brad was playing a politico-turned-journalist who spearheads a newspaper’s investigation of a murder, a trail that leads to the fast-rising pol whose campaigns were once masterminded by Brad’s character.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad has pulled out because of script concerns and the script cannot be worked on due to the writers strike.
Who could possibly fill the shoes of Brad Pitt??

Why are you this much angry?I didn`t say anything wrong,I can talk for a fun,have alittle sense of humor and fun.you are in celebrity blog not political one.it is so sad you jumped on me because I said my opinion for fun.and I can read that he wasn`t happy with script.I don`t really know what should I say to you.because there was nothing wrong with my comment but it becomes part of your habit to jump on each one of people who says their opinion.save your energy for haters not fans.peace :)

Amen! The pregnancy stories are so taxing and weren’t we giving them a bit of a rest? Why throw them into the discussion again?
If he doesn’t like the script, it is good to drops out. Remember movie “Fountain”, he didn’t like the script and dropped out. glad he dropped out that movie. That movie was terrible.
I think probably he will work on another movie and will pick up another movie,but maybe not and he will decide to spend all his time with his family.
Umm, anyone can replace Pitt. He’s a terrible actor.

Johnny Depp would be a good replacement but darn it! It’ll be so much better with Brad. The British miniseries was a great movie.
New thread!! Thanks Jared. It’s too bad Brad dropped cause I really liked him to be in this movie but things like that happens all the time in the industry. Many actors and actresses have done the same before. It was impossible for the script to be re-checked due the writer’s strike. I really don’t think they will find a replacement that soon so most likely the movie will not be made after all.
Brad has been in HW for 20 years and he is one of the most shout out actors. He has the right to make his choices. It’s not a big deal really. Brad has BAR and TCCOBB next year!! He won’t be missed!!
On the other hand that means that the JP will have a long break to enjoy their fam!! Good for them!!
I don`t think he will stay home all his time,he knows that means more fight with A.J.so for sure he will look for another movie to stay away from her.

Not angry. Just sick of the same old, same old. As I have stated before I will be the first online to offer my congrads when Angie and Brad tells us a new little Jolie-Pitt is on the way.
What I do get tire of is some of you acting like Angie only worth is what takes place in her womb.
Brad had a pay or play deal. Thus UP just put out that they might sue so they don’t have to pay Brad. There will be no suit.
Terrible actors don’t have script approval. Ask …well never mind.
I’m just happy that if Brad doesn’t pick up another movie, Brad, Angie and their too-cute-for-words kids will be able to spend down time together and stay away from the crazy rags trying to attack them. I can’t wait for the Golden Globes nominations, and the next time we see Brad and Angie should be on the red carpet in January. Maybe we’ll catch a glimpse of them before then. :-)

Brad has alot more options than many other actors, plus he has that fighting movie with Mark Wahlberg coming up. He doesn’t have to beg anybody for a role. He can pretty much be as choosy as he wants to be.
Angie and the kiddies will be more than happy to have Big Daddy at home through the holidays.
Universal won’t sue him, they’ll just cast him another movie. That’s the way the game is played, and Brad knows what he is doing after all these years in Hollywood.

I`m sure Brad wouldn`t drop the movie,If he wasn`t sure that they can sue him.BTW He always has script approval,so probably they can`t sue him and they don`t want to say the reason was script because they are looking for another actor.
