OlderBrad Pitt Drops ‘State of Play’
Brad Pitt has dropped out of State of Play and Universal Pictures is currently trying to replace him, according to Variety.
If Brad’s character doesn’t recast and get the picture going by Nov. 29, it will begin losing the other actors in the film and Universal can bring a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Brad was set to star alongside Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn in the Matthew Michael Carnahan-scripted adaptation of the British miniseries. Brad was playing a politico-turned-journalist who spearheads a newspaper’s investigation of a murder, a trail that leads to the fast-rising pol whose campaigns were once masterminded by Brad’s character.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad has pulled out because of script concerns and the script cannot be worked on due to the writers strike.
Who could possibly fill the shoes of Brad Pitt??

Why is it so difficult for some to get there are tons and tons
of people who don’t look at Brad Pitt through pink glasses as some of you do, and prob also Angelina when it comes to his talent.
We don’t know him privately, but he surely looks much happier now than ever before, Good for him. I didn’t comment on it.

That’s YOUR OPINION. Obviously not everybody agrees with you. For instance…the voters at the Venice Film Festival who gave Brad the Best Actor award, NOT Casey Affleck. Or Peter Travers of Rolling Stone who said BRAD deserved the award. Or any of the other critics who cited Brad’s work as superior.
Casey was great in his role, too, and nobody has taken that away from him. However, if you would take the time to look at the award season predictions Casey is being touted in the SUPPORTING ACTOR category. He and Brad pretty much had equal screen time - I saw the movie, did you? - but IMO Casey had the flashier character and that’s always much easier to play than the character doing the slow boil.
So you’re entitled to your opinion. But you know what they say about opinions. You can put yours in that place.

I went to Steiner elementary in the 1950s from grade 2 to grade 6. As private schools go, it was pretty good back then. I got a nice solid education in the fundamentals, none of that “progressive education” bullshit. But how in the world that airhead ever got into Steiner I will never understand. They must have relaxed their admissions standards.

Felinelilly hi there! I just got home and started to catch up when I saw this. A question, have you ever seen this person who posted as so before? Yep. My mom and dad scrimped and saved to put me through there for five years until I got into a specialized public junior-senior high school for gifted kids. I’m wondering what kind of education X took away from that place. She acts like she never cracks a book if she can help it. That class reunion must have been a real hoot.

Actually, Janice was the one with the knife. They were doing a photo shoot with the whole cast and Janice decided to pick up a butcher knife and hold it like she was going to stab Omarosa with it. Omarosa lost it and stormed off.

Hey Piper…yeah…that’s right! I thought it was dinner. They had a big showdown at the dinner table in another show didn’t they? I only caught part of the knife show and then I missed the rest and never did see what happened. So did you see the rest of it? What happened that next show? All I know is about 2 months later I saw a pic of Omarosa in a tab and she’d gotten some huge knocker implants. They looked stupid…needless to say.

FYI - A bit of a ramble to come, but I agree with you and it’s an interesting position that has been brought up. I never understood why people feel that Angelina needs Brad to fix any and every problem and that Brad should be responsible for rescuing her all the time and like you said especially when in this case it was a problem that stemmed from her own office. Yes, support and encourage, look out and help out, but my goodness we aren’t living in times of princes/princesses, where the expectation was that the prince in his white shinning armor needed to rescue the princess perched up top in the castle’s attic from some type of duress.
A fan of Angelina should be able to recognize that this woman is full of independence, capable of handling her affairs and has been so long before Brad came along. It’s a trait that should be revered. This brings me back to one of my first classes I took during my first degree. It was a Women Studies course that devoted much time and discussion to Angelina and her role within the feminist discourse. We discussed her ability to grab power, insert independence among other things and how such a stance is viewed as frightening and almost threatening to males and females in society. So yes it’s nice that Brad supports her and she him and they try to look out for one another, but do not feed the expectation that he needs to always RESCUE her and we should defame him if he doesn’t. He does what he can as does she.
As Brad said in one of their red carpet interviews (for the life of me I can’t remember which one and it’s going to bother me now…maybe TGS with Brad Blanks guy) [Angelina] ‘has no boss’ and nor does she need one.

I read this early and just about bust a gut LMAO. This is the second time in less than a month that a major news website (for the country it’s located in) has called out NK on her famewhoring…and in the case of The Guardian, her undeserved salary of $15-$18MIL per flick when all her movies are tanking at the BO.
I like NK…but I’m not blind to her faults. She just needs to put the Tiniest of Toms days behind her and move on already…and quite lying about being “100% natural” when she’s botoxed to the max. She’s probably gets the legal maximum every time she goes in to get de-wrinkled.
