OlderBrad Pitt Drops ‘State of Play’
Brad Pitt has dropped out of State of Play and Universal Pictures is currently trying to replace him, according to Variety.
If Brad’s character doesn’t recast and get the picture going by Nov. 29, it will begin losing the other actors in the film and Universal can bring a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Brad was set to star alongside Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn in the Matthew Michael Carnahan-scripted adaptation of the British miniseries. Brad was playing a politico-turned-journalist who spearheads a newspaper’s investigation of a murder, a trail that leads to the fast-rising pol whose campaigns were once masterminded by Brad’s character.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad has pulled out because of script concerns and the script cannot be worked on due to the writers strike.
Who could possibly fill the shoes of Brad Pitt??

And Clooney said there were script problems and he was exhausted.
The studios lied about the quality of scripts and did not want to admit how bad some actually are. They do no want to put the writers in a strong position as to the strike.

State of Play won’t begin production until the strike has been settled.
No actor will take the role whilst risking the ire of the scriptwriters who are on strike.

The person was jesting. I just thought the snapping at her was unncesary. I don’t go around discussing their sex life or their baby making or whatever all that often. I not going to jump on someone for discussingne thing andnotthe other. This is all part of a fan log. Ther is going to be jesting going on and people discussing their love and sex lifeike anyone realy knows what goes on their bedroom.
I think some people have let the troublemakers get under their5 skin so much that when even a fan jests about something they don’t want to hear they get way too snippy with them.

writer Carnahan did the Kingdom and Lions for Lambs.
Thanks for the information. This probably is a good indication why BP dropped out of the Movie. “Lions for Lambs” was one of the worse reviewed movies of the year. The “Kingdom” was not much better.

Maybe he was pissed because The Kingdom and Lions for Lambs both bombed critically and commercially (not sure about commercially for The Kingdom, but the latter…certainly).

#85 James McAvoy has the potential. He seems to have the range although not quite in-your-face in terms of looks but still good looking enough.
I don’t think there is any male actor in their 20’s so farthat have shown that they have the staying power to make the A list and stay there for many decades.
