OlderBrad Pitt Drops ‘State of Play’
Brad Pitt has dropped out of State of Play and Universal Pictures is currently trying to replace him, according to Variety.
If Brad’s character doesn’t recast and get the picture going by Nov. 29, it will begin losing the other actors in the film and Universal can bring a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Brad was set to star alongside Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn in the Matthew Michael Carnahan-scripted adaptation of the British miniseries. Brad was playing a politico-turned-journalist who spearheads a newspaper’s investigation of a murder, a trail that leads to the fast-rising pol whose campaigns were once masterminded by Brad’s character.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad has pulled out because of script concerns and the script cannot be worked on due to the writers strike.
Who could possibly fill the shoes of Brad Pitt??

No one with any sliver of intelligence believes what is written in a tabloid except to have an occasional laugh at some truly outrageous made up trash or use the tab to line an animal’s cages.
Therefore for Angelina or Brad or anyone else to get bent out of shape and try to frame an answer everytime a tab prints a lie is an exercise in futility. One must choose their battles wisely, perhaps respond to the most outrageous lies, but ignore 99% of them. Angelina has said over and over in interviews that she ignores the tabs, she does not read them, that friends sometimes tell her what is said, but that tabs do not and will not ever exert control over her life. Brad has said that he once tried to do battle with the tabs, but now knows that is not a productive practice, so for the most part he too ignores them.
This is just common sense. A personality trait which you and a few others who come here spraying your unhappiness that Angie is now happy and settled with a man and their family completely lack.
You and your cohorts are oh so miserable and angry at the world, your loveless states of mind and soul leap out of your written words. Your time and energy would be so much better employed in finding some light to shine in your lives, rather than wasting what time you have here venting because Angelina has found someone who brings love and happiness and family and stability to her life.
Angelina and Brad will determine their present and future, not any outside force, and that includes you and me and anyone else who thinks they know what is better for two people than the two people themselves.

I am first and foremost an Angelina Jolie fan. I never believed for one second she was the other woman in Pitt’s marriage. In the beginning, I supported this relationship. I honestly thought they were fated to be together.
I began to have a change of heart in June when A Mighty Heart came out and Fox News tried to make a tempest in a teacup because Angelina supposedly banned them from the premiere. Angie got a lot of negative press because of this. I thought that Brad, as one of the producers and her partner would at the very least say something in her defense, but what did he do? He distanced himself first by not saying anything and then by taking Maddox to Mars restaurant. So then you had the media image of him as the “perfect dad” taking his “son” out on a fun outing while Angie was getting crucified. It was interesting and very telling to me that he wasn’t seen with Angie in the aftermath until they returned to Prague. And then we all know about his mother’s infamous visit to her former daughter-in-law just when Angie’s movie was opening.
It’s an indisputable fact the Angie has taken the brunt of the bad press for Pitt’s failed marriage. I know that this has been a very trying and emotionally draining year for her, with her mother dying, and adding a new member to her family. I see Angie’s weight loss as symptomatic of the upheavel in her personal life at the moment. She is not at peace. Some members of the press are trying to bring her down and are now using those most sacred to her: her children. All this is brought on by the fact that she is with Pitt. He gets off scot free and she is tarred and feathered. I cant’ help but feel that he or those around him may be instigating the bad press she receives.
I really hope that in the next year, she evaluates her life, and what she needs to be happy and fulfilled. I don’t believe she is in a good place at this time. Pitt is an albatross around her neck and she should cut her losses and move on.
I know there will be the usual responses calling me a hater and saying Brad is the next best thing since sliced bread. In your fantasy world, he may be that, but in the real world, he is a big liabilty to Angelina. She deserves better.

The vast majority of Americans do not hate Angelina Jolie. There are a very low percentage of people who don’t like her and even less are vocal about it. Also, I believe this FF is based out of the UK , but I am sure it has a mixturehate-filled immature people from different countries.
My take and Turkey day keep convincing yourselves about Brad being the bad guy. Angie has finally found the kind man she has always talked about. The kind her Dad couldn’t be and you think she’s in pain and unhappy…think again. She knows she’s lucky and her kids are lucky to have Brad as her partner and her kids dad. She is very well aware of the kind of man who is not there for their partner and the kind of dad who was never there for his kids. And you think she would pick such a man to raise her kids?

Hello Marley, I personally don’t think Aniston manipulated anyone. Her fans manipulated themselves, buying into the media hype about the “golden couple” (Brad and Jennifer). The whole thing was a farce from the beginning; they had nothing in common and she wouldn’t even give him a child. But here’s the deal: Most of Jennifer’s fans identified with her and figured if she hooked up with a handsome prince, they could, too. When the marriage blew up, all their dreams blew up as well. And for them, Angelina, who is beautiful (which Aniston is not), intelligent (which Aniston is not), sexy (which Aniston most definitely is not), talented (which Aniston is not), confident (which Aniston is not), and unconventional (which Aniston also is not), made the perfect villain. She was the “bad girl” who stole the “good girl” from the handsome prince. The fact that none of this has any basis in reality made no difference to Aniston’s fans. You can see from all this that as a group, Aniston’s fans are a lot like Aniston herself: they are insecure, hysterical, and not very bright. But please don’t make the mistake of thinking that Aniston’s fans represent the majority of Americans. Most Americans couldn’t care less about the whole thing. What Aniston’s fans do very well is make a lot of noise. But they don’t speak for anyone but themselves.
Brad Pitt is the most beautiful man Angie has ever seen. both in and out. That’s why Angie admires him so much. I am Brad’s fan first and becomes Angie’s fan after they got together. I was really really touched by Angie is she didn’t want to have a biological child until she met Brad. She changed her mind to have his child. I know children are dear to Angie. If she didn’t love Brad deep deep enough, she would not bring an innocent baby to this world. And she said she is going to have more bio children with Brad which just shows how much she loves him.
