OlderBrad Pitt Drops ‘State of Play’
Brad Pitt has dropped out of State of Play and Universal Pictures is currently trying to replace him, according to Variety.
If Brad’s character doesn’t recast and get the picture going by Nov. 29, it will begin losing the other actors in the film and Universal can bring a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Brad was set to star alongside Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn in the Matthew Michael Carnahan-scripted adaptation of the British miniseries. Brad was playing a politico-turned-journalist who spearheads a newspaper’s investigation of a murder, a trail that leads to the fast-rising pol whose campaigns were once masterminded by Brad’s character.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad has pulled out because of script concerns and the script cannot be worked on due to the writers strike.
Who could possibly fill the shoes of Brad Pitt??

It’s look like Universal is going on the defensive. Many Movies are being affected by the writers strike. Universal knew the problems with “State of Play” long before the production date. However, they are trying to use BP as an example. Tom Hanks, Clooney and other stars have had their production date pushed back. However, I am sure that BP will be fine. He has many projects in the works. However, I know that this will be a disappointment for Ritzy and her alters since she gets such glee out any preceived bad news regarding BP. However, if this is all you have to live for then so be it. The Jolie-Pitts are rolling along while hens google. Peace to all.

He dropped the film because he wants to spend more time with his family and he wants to travel with angie and looking for architeced houses and building. :)
