Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ Mom Dies

Geraldine Meyers-O’Keeffe, the 50-year-old mother of The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers, died in hospital in Cork, Ireland on Tuesday.

Just this past Sunday, Rhys Meyers, 30, was arrested at Dublin airport for public drunkenness and breach of the peace. He’s due in court in December.

In April, Rhys Meyers entered rehab for an alcohol-treatment program.

You’re a very good actor. You do have talent, no doubt about it. I show my friends Finbar and they are all pleasantly surprised.

I’ve been “clean” for sixteen years and both of my parents passed away in January 2006 and I didn’t use over it. Anyway, I sure hope this young man gets through his grief without any more incidences with drinking and the law. I was saddened to find out that he now lives in Hollywood. If Jonathan doesn’t keep a clear head he will be eaten alive by the awful lifestyle of Hollywood and become just another drunken has been and he is way too talented an actor to allow that to happen. Good luck to you JRM and condolences on your loss. When we lose our parents our lives are never quite the same.
