OlderJonathan Rhys Meyers @ Mother’s Funeral
Jonathan Rhys Meyers bid his mother, Geraldine O’Keeffe, a final farewell at her funeral on Friday at St. Joseph’s Church in Glanmire, County Cork, Ireland. Mrs. Meyers O’Keeffe passed away on Tuesday morning at Mercy University Hospital following a short illness.
The Tudors actor was accompanied to the funeral by his girlfriend Reena Hammer. Fellow Irish actor Colin Farrell was also in attendance, seen embracing Jonathan (pictured below). Irish actor Cillian Murphy was also reportedly there. His flowers and card can be seen below.
JRM’s father John O’Keeffe and his three brothers Alan, Jamie and Paul, heard Priest Noel O’Sullivan describe Mrs. Meyers O’Keeffe as a “loving, caring mother, who would go out of her way to help people.”
Our deepest condolences go out to Jonathan and his friends and family.

I love your site, however, please refrain from posting photos of this disrespectful nature. We must show boundaries with the paps. Rise above the other sites which will post anything and everything.

Damn, I think that’s pretty tacky for the Paps to be at his mom’s funeral. Somethings should be off limits and I would think this would qualify.

I’m really sorry for him, but how it is possible in this world that a person dares to take pictures of such a painful time for a human being? and for others to post it? God he is not buying ice cream or just walking on the street show some respect!

didi, yes, Jonathan is famous, but this isn’t HIS funeral. His mother wasn’t famous, and either are all his relatives and friends. The funeral is about the person who died, not a celebrity son. I feel sorry for him and for his entire family that stupid insensitive paps showed and and made a painful time even worse.

Apparently it was only one photographer but I still think it was disrespectful.

You shouldn’t be posting these pictures.
They (paps)did did the exact same thing after Bruce Paltrow dies. Gwyneth was in a terrible state but they still hounded her. Can a person, celebrity or not, grieve without the snappers hounding them? I have not lost either of my parents, but (touch wood) God forbid one of them passes, one should be left to grieve in their own personal way. Just my two cents. Condolences to onathan and his family.
