Congrats to AJ on being named one of the Entertainers of the Year. She has gotten critical acclaim and Oscar buzz for her amazing performance in AMH. Beowulf is a fun filled ride of a Movie. It is great to watch in 3D or IMAX. Some people even enjoyed it in 2D that I talked to. AJ is a mom, partner, UN Ambassador, and a Actress. That’s really great to hear. I live in Toronto, CA and even for a big city like mine, people went absolutely crazy when Pitt and Jolie came for the Jesse James special screening/premiere. It was complete pandemonium. Never seen anything like it.

A. Brad’s marriage to Aniston was on the rebound from Paltrow.
B. He realized within months he was married to the wrong person, but felt he needed to try and make it work.
C. After failed attmepts at “making it work” he was in an emotional slump by late 2003.
D. In January 2004, he meets Angelina and before he knows it, he is walking around like he has been hit upside the head with a sack of quarters. Dude is in serious love with Ms. Jolie.
E. Angelina, meanwhile never thinking Brad is even available, believes him to be happily married, so she just proceeds to be her genuine self around him, oblivious to the fact that Brad has developed a soul-aching crush on her. Angie quite likes him too, but seems to never allow herself the luxury of thinking of Brad as more than a good friend. It takes until the end of principle shooting MAMS (Oct 2004) for her to realize she has developed more than friendly feelings for him. THERE IS NO PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THEM AT THIS TIME. Get it, haters?
F. By the holidays of 2004, Brad has a final decision to make, and he chooses divorce. It’s not the first time he has brought it up to Aniston, but this time he won’t let her talk him out of it. His decison is final.

Yes, Brad and Angelina clicked like Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson did when they worked together and Tom Hanks was very much married with 2 kids. Like Tom Hanks said, love happens and that’s the way it is. Tom divorced, he and Rita were together before his divorce was completely final. Why not rag on them? What about Julia Roberts who went after very much married Danny Moder, even wearing a tshirt denigrating his then wife? What about Laura Dern who went after a very married Ben Harper who also had an infant with his then wife, had a child before he got divorced, then had a second child. Are they not also to be labeled “homewreckers”?
Valentina, women need to stop using the term “homewrecker” about other women. As the X herself said in her 2005 VF article, “they both changed”, not just Brad but she did as well. Why can’t intellient women accept the fact that people do change, that marriage does not mean that people are locked together in misery for life, that it takes courage to admit that the person you married is not the person who fulfills you, and that you want someone and something else in your life. This is reality. The X is no more brave than any other woman who has been married and gone through a divorce. She is actually in much better shape in all ways than any of my friends who are divorced. This years long pity party for the X needs to stop immediately. There are many women out there who are to be pitied, who have truly suffered, and she is not one.
Woman need to acknowledge that Brad now has a family with Angelina, a real live thriving family. A family in which the two adults carve out special together time for each other, they make their relationship a priority. The X also said in the 2005 VF article that she should not have worked so much, that she should have taken more vacations with Brad, that they should have spendt more time together. I am not saying that a family has to have children, what I am saying is that a family has to believe that they are a family, that they will share the good and bad times, that there is a bond of shared goals and interests that will hold them together, no matter what.
Angelina has let all know that her family is her priority, when did the X ever let that be known? You are scornful of Angelina adopting, why? People adopt because they love children and want more children. Brad has always been extremely vocal as to his desire for many kids, Angelina has always expressed the same feelings, this was before they ever met. So why doubt Angelina’s sincerity? She adopted before Brad and they have adopted together, and had Shiloh. They both have said they want more children, both biological and adopted. What’s wrong with that? They can afford them. The four little Jolie-Pitts appear to be very much loved and happy and healthy. Their children will hopefully grow up in a home with loving parents and this will be their truth, not what a stranger like you or me thinks.

Let me tell you about being a homewrecker…About ten years ago, I met a man who told me he was “separated” and we began to date. I was still in college and he was about 15 years older and very successful. Had an apartment in the City and little did I know that he also had a home in the burbs with a wife that was so cold, he looked for a connection outside of his marital home. It took me awhile before he finally told me the truth. It was almost a year and alot of traveling, verrry nice presents, meeting my family, etc. By the time, he fessed up (there were no kids involved) I had fallen for him. We continued to see each other for a little while, but I couldn’t trust him (obviously).
So who was the homewrecker? Was it me? Was it him? Or was it the wife who put other things first in her life besides him…
Food for thought - you can’t be a homewrecker, if the home isn’t already deteriorated to the point of no return.
I am happily married to another man, and wonder if Mr. Separated ever was able to find happiness. Life is so much more than black and white/right and wrong/ - if you’ve lived with passion, you would understand that there was no homewrecker. Life just happened to these people and unfortunately for them, the whole world is watching.

People lie in interviews. If you really believe everything you read or hear from celebs, then you need to wake up and get a clue. They are people after all. Not everyone can do for celebrity charity what Angelina Jolie has done, but in the spirit of thanks and giving, it’s nice to point out some of the celebrities who have lent their time or talent to charity. Happy Thanksgiving
Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria and Matthew McConaughey have decorated Ugg Australia boots for the Art & Sole charity auction, which runs Dec. 1-14. All proceeds are going to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and if you check it out, you’ll find that Simpson’s actually a pretty good artist.
Mario Lopez, Paula Abdul, William Baldwin and Lee Underwood were just some of the many celebs who signed a Komfort Pets Carrier that was auctioned off for $600. The money will go to the ASPCA.
Led Zeppelin will headline a show in London Dec. 10, and if you’re a huge fan and choose to bid on VIP tickets through Charity Folks, proceeds will go directly to the MusiCares and Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund.

I complety agree with betty. I am so sick of hearing her name in anige tread. She is a woman close to 40. Man! People are obsessed with this woman. I click to read the first page and I thought I clicked on a time warp/machine or something? Is it 2005 again? I didn’t know there were still people who feel need to wave a red banner against a woman who they accused of adultery. Which, by all means if we have to discuss this on this lazy day, was disputed by ALL parties involved! His ex-wife, his ex-wife’s bestfriends and practically anyone who had eyes and ears who were supposedly near them said he did not, I repeat, DID NOT, have an affair. He told his then wife that he had feelings for this woman… and it seemed at the time that she was accepting of the situation. Now, years later and the slow burn or obscurity on her part and people who suddenly feel the need the bring any and all mention of her just so she can still be talked about, try to bash a woman who has done nothing wrong to her.
By the way, I don’t think Angelina justifies anyone else’s feelings getting hurt despite any of her decisions. Remember that she knows what it feels like to be on the other end. I remember an interview of hers where she talked about her father’s former affairs and the way he flaunted those women in front of her and her mother and brother. That time when her father brought his girlfriend to the oscars where he won when he was barely separated from her mother. That sucked. And after that, she went through so much more! Dam*, no wonder people are so fascinated by her. She’s just so complex. And that’s why I think she’s really awesome to watch. And she has so much more life to live, and us- the public- are only too happy to be witnesses.

They have been vitims of the real entertainers, the film industry. I notice how Hollywood will take anything in the public eye and call it entertainment. Soon chefs will be considered entertainers, clergy will be considered entertainers, good samaritans will be considered that as well. Ceo’s of fortune 500 companies, doctors, lawyers, nannies, hairdressers, etc…..I guess the President of the United States is an entertainer with his famous quips……

Re Angie: Angie had a big loss this year(her mom), so given the balance of the universe, 2008 will probably be a very good year for Angie and her family. Her mother will always look out for her in spirit. I admire how she worked through her grief. She deserves every accolade she gets. Congratulations to her!! (a very difficult year by any standards) Oh, I still miss the children they are getting big, would love to see them. But I will watch the videos until the next sighting.(smile)

That was my OPINION of the movie. I didn’t like it and I’m entitled to say that. If you would have had something on here about A Mighty Heart, then I’d say go see it or rent it immediately- amazing film!! See smart a**, you labeled me based on 1 comment. Of course she’s an entertainer. Her works are responsible for various film blockbusters, including the most recent installment this past summer. She just released the last installment of the Potter book, which was also a huge event. She did junkets about a book, not a movie. And when she revealed the sexuality of a pivotal character, it reignited many of its core readers to re-read the books, along with attracting new readers to the books, not to mention how the blogosphere went nuts over the revelation.
If Tyler Perry can make the list, then JK certainly can.

What exactly were you expecting? I know the film has been bad-mouthed by a lot of English Lit majors who expected the script to follow the epic poem. If that’s what you were expecting to, no wonder you were disappointed. “Beowulf” is a straight-up action/adventure movie, nothing more, nothing less. Taken on those terms, it’s an eye-popping, jaw-dropping spectacle. Just pass the popcorn, relax and enjoy it. It’s a fun movie. That’s all.

Gorngradulations to Angie for being one of the greatest entertainers of the year. And not just that year. Angie is way above any other actress in her age.
I pretty much enjoyed Beowulf last night. It was such a fan movie. I had a few laughs also too although at some scenes it was pretty violent and cruel.
There is no chance in hell that any other actress could combine the maternal pain of a mother who loses her only son no matter if he is a monster and the incredible sexiness she excluded. Beowulf had no chance but to follow her commands. LOL!!
And at the very end of the movie she just dominated the place with her presence that would always be there so her revenge would be remembered.
Hopkins and Malkovich were great also.

Now I’m going to make it a little more complicated and let’s see if you can follow me. In fact, I’m going to type this in great big caps just to make sure you get the point: IF A MARRIAGE IS HAPPY AND HEALTHY, IT CANNOT BE “WRECKED” BY ANYONE OUTSIDE OF IT. With me so far? Attagirl!
Now let’s see why Jennifer’s marriage was not happy or healthy:
When you put your career before your man, tell everyone your husband was never the love of your life, and refuse to give him a child, how long do you expect he’s going to stick around before he walks out? The only thing that surprises me is that Brad stayed with that tired bítch as long as he did. Now I’m going to type this next bit in caps also so you get the point: ANGELINA HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT. Brad was sick and tired of Jennifer with or without Angelina.
