WHAT:

Brad Pitt’s focus on the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans has expanded to directly address the continued crisis faced by residents, and to begin to fill the need for housing with plans for affordable, sustainable, collaborative houses of high design.

The Make It Right team, community leaders, and the renowned architects who have signed on to help bring the project to fruition will be together in the Lower 9th Ward to reveal the first phase of the project. The focus of the event will be the unveiling of designs that the Make It Right team of architects has created in concert with the community.

Evening event in honor of residents of the Lower 9th Ward WHO: — Brad Pitt: Founder, Make It Right — Tom Darden: Director, Make It Right — Lower 9th Ward Community Coalition Leaders — Leadership from the Make It Right Team: Graft, Cherokee Gives Back, William McDonough + Partners — Leadership from 14 architecture firms representing the MIR Architecture Team: Adjaye Associates — Billes Architecture — BNIM Architects — Concordia — Constructs LLC — Eskew+Dumez+Ripple — Graft — KieranTimberlake Associates — Morphosis — MVRDV — Pugh + Scarpa Architecture — Shigeru Ban Architects — Trahan Architects.
