Zac Efron: EW’s Entertainer of the Year

I just realized that the part where they’re holding hands must be on their way to the after party. If you notice Zac’s vest is unbuttoned. The pics of them at the after party also showed his vest unbuttoned.

My oldest daughter has pictures of Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, Miley and so many other Disney stars on her wall. She idolizes them, they are not her role models. Disney does not hire you to be a role model they hire you to be an entertainer. Big difference.
My daughter’s role model is a 19 year old College softball player. While at our local high school, this girl helped lead her team to a state title. She plays the same position as my daughter and when my daughter got to meet her at softball camp that year, you would have thought she was meeting a Zac or Vanessa. But, she’s a role model not an idol.
Zac, Vanessa and others do good things for others and that shouldn’t be taken away from them. But why do kids like them so much? It’s the charaters they love, and kids have a difficult time separating the fact from fiction. One reason I love the relationship between Zac and Vanessa is that they are trying to keep it real. Once it gets spread all over the media it loses the realness. I admire them for trying to keep those two aspects of their lives separate. That’s what I want my daughter to learn from them- that if it’s something you truely want you have to work for it, it’s not going to be just handed to you.

Frankly, I did not use profanity. The he four letter word I used started with a “c” not with the “s” you obviously thought. I had no idea my word would not be allowed as I’m sure I’ve seen it before on this board.

This girl did nothing that should get such a lecture from you. There is no law that says she cannot take a picture of herself naked. That she took that picture for a former boyfriend has never been established as fact. Her age has never been established as fact. The ONE thing we are sure of is nobody on the internet was suppose to see them. They were suppose to be a private thing. Do you understand PRIVATE? Do you understand VIOLATION? That girl was violated, her property stolen and yet it is her you are cruzifying? Plus, it was ONE thing. As others have said, Lindsey Lohan did numerous things and she was a Disney kid. Nobody is saying she should do something else with her life. So don’t talk about how respectful you are to me, lady.

Thanks Kiersten, it’s refreshing to hear a mother with sound reason. It takes courage to let your children be who they want to be with the hope of them being successful in themselves. I commend you for that. You sound like a great mother. Hope to see you here again :)

Now that I am having a stroke here at work, I just want to mention one more thing.

Does it not seem strange that this…person…chooses to come to a Zac thread to find fault with his girlfriend? I understand that all of us get on the subject of Vanessa when it is a Zac thread and Zac when it is a Vanessa thread but this just seems strange to me. And I will never understand why this poor girl is continually dragged throught the mud for ONE questionable thing in her life and why some people thing she should be so severely punished for it. I don’t believe Paris, Britney, or Lindsey have been so hatefully treated for ALL their questionable behavior put together.

I recall—and I wish I could forget it—how Troy mentioned the other day in one of his posts about the problem some people have with racism. After all these years there is nothing that scares me more than the fact that is still an issue in this world. I pray that is not why Vanessa is judged so harshly all the time by some people.

And people wonder why there can’t be peace in this world…
