#75: I agree. Personally I don’t think there’s a whole lot of anything serious happening. Hooking up, friends w/bennies. Whatever. However, the only reason any of us have anything to talk about is Miranda Kerr and her amateurish agent. It’s pathetic.

I’m wondering why Miranda didn’t ask her friend Pottsy to make a statement if he really didn’t say those things from last week.
I would think he would want to clear both of their names of it since it was pretty serious stuff. He could have spoke through Miranda’s agent or something so people would know it was official.It isn’t like they are the type to be above talking to the media so they can’t claim that path.

I have a bad feeling about this whole situation. If her PR people go public try and sell this ‘great new romance’ in the press over here I hope people shout it from the roof tops that they know its all BS.
If it turns out those pictures from x17 show what they seem to show I hope it won’t get pushed under the rug. Sadly, it kind of makes sense since why would she even have been asked to go to the Atelier in April since she really wasn’t famous then.She already had an apartment of her own as well.

If those things are true than it takes a very selfish and coldhearted person to do that to someone else consistently over a long period of time.Unfortunately that would mean Orlando was in the category as well. I hope that isn’t the case.

There is some chatter on another site about how people and possibly media sources are checking into it all. I know Orlando never talks to the press about this kind of thing but this time there are so many negative rumors and his reputation is going downhill quick. I think he should give an interview and talk about alot of these things-even things from the accident that people still have qustions about.

A couple of weeks ago, there was a really long thread on x-17 about Orlando, and after reading through the comments, the one post that really stuck in my mind was the one in which a person called Orlando a “social climber” and said that he is NOTHING like the man he once was, or that he wasn’t the man he appeared to be. It was something to the effect that he was either misrepresenting himself with his PR or that he has greatly changed over the past few years. I found that post and other negative observations made very sad. We really don’t know any of these actors and celebrities, but if people have spent years in an actor’s fandom or have watched him or her over the years, they sometimes form some interesting opinions and make some interesting observations. I respect their opinions, even if I don’t agree with them all.

If Orlando is in fact a “social climber”, then it stands to reason that he will date up or will only choose those women who can help his image or his career, or at least keep him in the public eye when he isn’t working. It would also give rise to the possibility that he dated Kate because of her connections with Jerry Bruckheimer (I read that he’s a family friend?), and I would find that rather sad. I guess I’m an optimist and an old fashioned romantic at heart and would rather not believe those things, but realistically speaking, it undoubtedly goes on all the time. People use each other and rely heavily on hype and PR in that industry, so anything is possible.

If Orlando can’t - or won’t - keep his girlfriends away from cameras and paparazzi, and he can’t keep their names out of the tabloids, and he chooses girlfriends among actresses and models, it stands to reason that he may well like, want and need certain forms of attention, and he may NOT be all about privacy. He might be totally unconscious of this, or fully aware of it.

He did once mention in an interview (Elle from 2003?) that he “always wanted to be the next big something.” That was quite a contrast from the Orlando Bloom who, back in early 2002, claimed he was so grateful for having worked in LOTR and that if he did nothing else in his career, it was cool because he was in “f***ing Lord of the Rings, man!”

Sadly, people sometimes change in ways that are NOT for the better. Money, fame, and celebrity status can do things to a person. So, it’s possible that Orlando has changed in some not so favorable ways (according to some people’s tastes), and it’s possible that he never was the man he appeared to be in his early interviews and earlier in his career. I just found the whole concept of “social climber” and “he’s lied repeatedly” a very, very interesting one. I wonder how happy he’d be pulling a Matt Damon and quietly finding someone and keeping her away from the public eye for the most part, and eventually secretly getting married. Not to mention not getting any publicity out of his relationship with her, and she being in the same boat - as in NO PUBLICITY FROM HIM! At this point, some would say that such a scenario with Bloom is highly unlikely.

actually, oooba if you go to olove you will see a lot more pictures that show him at the airport. It seems he was traveling as well. Although he didn’t have baggage he got out of the back seat of a car and was at the ticket counter. If he was just dropping her off I doubt if there was someone else with them (the driver) he would have needed to go in. So it seems he is off to Japan.
