Russell Crowe to Replace Brad Pitt
Universal Pictures is trying to replace Brad Pitt in State of Play with American Gangster star Russell Crowe, according to Variety.
Just this past Wednesday, it was announced that Brad dropped out of the film because of disagreements about the shooting script.
We’ll find out early this week if Russell will take on the political thriller and/or if Universal will follow-through with a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Nov. 29 is the last possible date Universal has before they start to lose the other actors in the film (Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn).

Amy Adams? Ellen Page? Nicole Kidman?Laura Linney?Keri Russell?are you for real??????They did OSCAR WORTHY performance???you need to go and watch their movie again.really they weren`t in the same league as Angelina and Cate.I don`t know If Angelina will get Oscar or not,who knows??Angelina still has alot of chance and she is young,so I could care less about award for her.BTW saying these women`s performance are like Cate and Angelina is just funny.sorry
Forget to add that I disagree with this somewhat. Most of these ladies gave fine performances this year. I haven’t seen them all, as some have yet to have an official release, but I don’t think we should discredit some of these performances so quickly. Personally I don’t think Angelina will take home the big one this year, but I think she has at least a decent shot at a nomination like most of the ladies mentioned. She is at least on the radar of performances likely to be recognized as worthy of a nomination. In the end it probably doesn’t matter all that much to Angelina if she wins or not, gets nominated or not, but for me I think it’s a nice way to recognize her talent and her hard work.

evidently you spent all your welfare check and is bored. dont worry, only a few days, before the govt mail you the december check.
oh, please remember to take your medication. your biopolar symptoms are manifesting all over. it cant cure your illness but it can surely help controlling your temper.
by the way, i dont need to fix my boobs nor my nose, unlike your employer Aniston who is all PLASTICS.
i do realise this is Brad’s but ….(posted this on the last thread stupid me ! too much to drink at oz xmas party haha) well i’ve been lurking for months now and have posted a few times but i always seem to get overlooked which is fine . i went to an xmas party in oz tonight and it came up who we found to be THE most aspiring person ever and every person in the room was quick to say Angelina Jolie, every female in the room would “turn” for her and every man would have left their significant other for her. she has one hell of a power!! i truely cannot believe that so many american citizens ( i lurk and read comments on this and other sites) are not so proud of this woman and her significant other!! are ppl soooo jealous that they cannot be proud of ppl who do good in their community? i really wish ppl could overcome their hate and recognise ppl for the good they do!! x
apologies ‘forgot’

guli, hey there stopped in to see what was up. Hope your well and the little flamingo as well! Are you handsome ones back at school? One question, WHO ARE THESE FREAKS? Seems since they can’t attack the JP’s they are after posters! GEESH! It’s a sad thing when that is the goal a person woke up with! Oh, and yes I agree! JD liked him in the pirates movies, he was funny! But that really wasn’t an acting stretch, more of a cartoon character! Other than that, yes he is the male Rachel Green!

chrisie,
like i suggested, visit a shrink. you need meds badly and for a multitude of reasons. you are projecting and delusional. if you can’t work up the strength to go for yourself…then…consider your children. i’m sure there is some low cost government program that can assist you with the expenses.
by the way…once again, i noticed your horrendous spelling errors….you should work on this. hooked on phonics might be able to help you. perhaps, you can check it out for free from the library?

268 let me tell you
I’m not even judging by personal preference here, but by the actual chances of nomination. Check with any of the Oscar predictions sites like thegoldderby or awardsdaily. The order pretty much goes…
Sure things
Marion Cotillard
Julie Christie
Very Likely
Laura Linney
Keira Knightley
Ellen Page
Other possibilities
Angelina Jolie
Amy Adams
Nicole Kidman
Keri Russell
Dark Horses
Cate Blanchett
Jodie Foster
It doesn’t matter who you think does or doesn’t deserve it. Those are the likely nominations, and Angelina is not in the Top 5 as of this moment. I’m just saying it’s silly to go on and on about when the Oscar nominations happen, when the odds are very, very good that Angelina is going to fall just short. Consider it a happy surprise if it happens, but stop counting down the days.
**********************************
Whats your problem? What if Angie fans think she will be in the top 5, its not like its impossible at all. Not all of these award gurus or prophets are correct. Sometimes they dont get it right.
You know whats so certain? Your idol Aniston is not going to be nominated at all, not now, or ever!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
How do you know that, are you wit them all the time? When days and weeks pass and theres no new news about them how do you know anything about them? You dont no sh^t
A Mighty Heart is eligible for the Independent Spirit Awards. Movies under $20 million production budget are elgible. If the movie prod. budget is between $15 and $20 million then it has to submit an accounting because post-production work has to be included in that $20 million ceilig.
Angie is being listed as one of the top five at other sites. Gold Derby is Tom O’Neil’s site and we all saw his recent embarrassing and disgusting appearances on a couple of TV gossip segments trying to get face time for himself using the latest Zahara press.
The Oscar sites are funny things - some of them have real agendas for their favorite actors, actresses, movies, etc. There’s one that will push Kate Winslet even if she wasn’t in any movie that year. They’re very rabid. LOL. Some will not give up the dog with Cate Blanchette for Best Actress when that clearly is not happening. Best Supporting for I’m Not There yes. There is no way that Keri Russell or Ellen Page in a quirky, totally AMPAS unfriendly movie will get a nom before Jolie does portraying a very sympathetic and AMPAS friendly character in a movie with a subject matter that AMPAS loves. Jolie is very well poised.
Jolie’s appearance at a private showing of A Mighty Heart for 500 AMPAS/SAG members followed by a Q & A was packed to capacity and met with a standing ovation at the end. She stayed for about a half hour and socialized. And this was arranged with very little notice. People are very, very impressed with her performance. Maybe not some of you, but then you’re not an AMPAS or SAG voter. It’s a wide open race this year and Jolie’s chances for a nom and a win are as good as anyone elses if not better. And don’t be so sure about Cotillard or Christie. Though I have them picked myself, there are very good reasons why neither of them is a lock yet.
“Whats your problem? What if Angie fans think she will be in the top 5, its not like its impossible at all. Not all of these award gurus or prophets are correct. Sometimes they dont get it right.

OMG. I don’t give a crap about Aniston. I hope Angelina DOES get nominated. I just don’t want to have to sit through the thousands of “Ha ha!” posts that are going to happen if she doesn’t. And all of you boasting about her getting a nomination are making sure that that’s exactly what’s going to happen the second the nominations are announced.
Why not Ralph Fiennes? He’s good too
chrisie…..
you are just sooo sad and laughable at this point. it’s like you have tourettes. you’re just screaming any any random insults that come into your mind. i, seriously, cannot stop laughing at your comments! your poor kids though……oh well. ROTFLMAO!!!!!
