You guys are missing the best point, its Russell going toe to toe with one of the best actors in the business - Ed Norton! I’ll be right there so see it. Norton does his best work with a challenging co-star. What a shame for BP to bow out, he got his best reviews last time they hooked up (a little movie called “Fight Club”) you may have seen it. Brad is really a CHARACTER OR SUPPORTING ACTOR AT HEART with the grave misfortune of being preternaturally pretty. He always seems to me to enjoy himself most when he DOESNT have to carry the movie, i.e. when he works with actors who can - like Ed. Remember, his best performances were in “Twelve Monkeys” “Se7en” “Fight Club” “the “Ocean” movies “Legends of the Fall”( - yes kiddies - that IS an ensemble movie)- he was so memorable - because HE DIDNT HAVE TO CARRY THE MOVIE BY HIMSELF). Have you ever tried to sit thru “Joe Black”? JEEZ - SPEW! And the movie its based on and the premise should’ve been sure fire (Death Takes a Holiday). Alot of Brad’s movies where he is the main character TANK - that I dont understand. But he AINT no Tom Hanks who you can watch carry a movie and not get bored. Get it?
I just hope Norton wears a cup - Russell fights dirty.

There is a new 5-paged Brad Pitt interview in Australia’s Women’s Weekly’s Magazine Dec 2007 issue. I actually just skimmed though it during my morning tea at work and didnt quite read everything in the article. The validity of this interview is still in question until I get to read all of it. From what I gathered, here are some snippets (if my memory serves me right).

- the interview starts of with the author (pardon, i forgot the name) meeting Brad at the lobby of Waldorf Astoria. He was with Maddox during that time. He observed that Brad was friendly to the paps saying “How are you guys? Been busy?” but deep inside him he only projects that friendly atmosphere to the paps because he is with his son. He (brad) doesnt want Maddox to be scared. Along the lines of a quote by Brad, he says that he is an actor and he knows the trade-off in regards to the media surrounding him and his family. The impression to me is that he as an actor, masks his own personal feeling of disgust, annoyance and anger to the paparazzis. That his behaviour around them is really not as genuine as what he shows.

- the author recalls the first time he has interviewed Brad. It was during circa Thelma and Louise at Hotel Chateue Mont something in LA. he said that brad came up to him wearing only briefs! LOL. I wonder if Brad would do that today! LOL. the author suggested that Brad knows that its his sex appeal that had shoot him up to stardom.

- brad talks about his family.

- Brad on Angelina: there are a couple of quotes that struck me.

> Brad said that Angelina is a powerful evidence that someone’s life can change for the better.

> Brad defends Angelina by recognising the intense media scrutiny that she in particular is going through. It’s quite a long quote really. And at the end he said ‘Why pick on her? Why not pick on me instead?! She is such an amazing woman!” The author then asked brad politely if he could quote him directly. Brad said, “Why not!”.

That is just about what I remember. If I had a chance tomorrow to read the article again, I would relay whatever I’ve missed here in my post.
