Russell Crowe to Replace Brad Pitt

Universal Pictures is trying to replace Brad Pitt in State of Play with American Gangster star Russell Crowe, according to Variety.

Just this past Wednesday, it was announced that Brad dropped out of the film because of disagreements about the shooting script.

We’ll find out early this week if Russell will take on the political thriller and/or if Universal will follow-through with a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.

Nov. 29 is the last possible date Universal has before they start to lose the other actors in the film (Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn).

Good Afternoon to all the fabulous fans! Very good and exciting news to receive thanks to Frenchy for the news and thank you Lady G for the pictures of Angie and Brad. Love them! I loved Angie’s hairdo in Cannes, with the black dress. I think it’s my favorite hairdo of hers this far. Brad looked so hot too. They looked like royalty that day. Thanks for the reminder with all the pics. :)

Thanks to all the fans posting the good news, congrats, and pictures
there are so many of you, so in case I didn’t mention your name, I thank you anyway. Its going to be an exciting time for the fans! Oh, I still miss the children! Glad they are having privacy, but like any grandma still wish I could see those little faces(smile)
