Russell Crowe to Replace Brad Pitt
Universal Pictures is trying to replace Brad Pitt in State of Play with American Gangster star Russell Crowe, according to Variety.
Just this past Wednesday, it was announced that Brad dropped out of the film because of disagreements about the shooting script.
We’ll find out early this week if Russell will take on the political thriller and/or if Universal will follow-through with a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Nov. 29 is the last possible date Universal has before they start to lose the other actors in the film (Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn).

sorry to say but most of brad pitt movies sucked.a bomb at the box office.now i know why.the guy has no taste for the common people.all the movies he done recently is for the elite for the intellect only.he lose the taste of the common people.

Look, I really like Angie, but I think in the case of this poll http://www.beliefnet.com/mipy/2007/vote.html, Prof. Liviu Librescu made something really outstanding, that I am sure Angie would really appreciate. I really hope it won’t be the case for her to go to such extreme examples, as it was her role in Beyond Borders. She can help also in other ways. It is a tragedy what happened with Prof. Liviu Librescu, and his courage and compassion were just touching, being his last lesson for his students, and eventually for some of us…

Sometimes those outlandish Internet rumors are true. During the holiday weekend, Ain’t It Cool News (aka “geek central”) reported that Christian Bale had agreed to play a grown-up John Connor in the fourth installment of the “Terminator” franchise. “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” (what a title) is currently in preproduction at Warner Bros. and under the eye of not-so-visionary director McG for a summer 2009 release. Not surprisingly, many just brushed the report aside as another fan-boy daydream. Bale is obviously set financially with Chris Nolan’s “Batman” series, and why would an actor who spent weeks in the jungles of Thailand with acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog want to work with a director whose career achievement is “Charlie’s Angels”? And considering how much time “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight” have taken out of his schedule (the “Knight” shoot took more than six months), why would he commit to what is expected to be the first of three new “Terminator” movies? Those questions have yet to be answered, but on a hunch, I contacted someone close to the production who, much to my surprise, confirmed Bale is in serious talks for the role but hasn’t yet signed on the dotted line.
What is known about the latest “Terminator” is that the story line will find Connor (previously played by Edward Furlong in “Terminator 2″ and Nick Stahl in “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines”) battling a world overrun by Skynet in the not-so-distant future. The chances of the original Terminator, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, appearing for a cameo are slim. Although Warner Bros. is involved in both the new movie and the new FOX series “The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” it’s unclear whether the story lines will reflect one another.
Bale received stellar reviews this fall for his role in James Mangold’s “3:10 to Yuma” and can currently be seen playing one of six Bob Dylans in Todd Haynes’ intriguing “I’m Not There.” “The Dark Knight” arrives in theaters July 18.

JJ We need a new thread. I have noticed that the negative people are a lot quieter with no new threads. Perhaps they finally get it. Brad and Angie are in love, they are a happy family and they do not mean any harm to anyone. They do good works and are negative towards anyone. That includes their X’s. If it’s a movie with nude scenes in it, that could be the reason why Pitt changed his mind. Lately he said that he won’t be doing nude parts anymore.
russell crowe is really a wonderful and much talented acter… but with norton? i’m not sure… i think norton and crowe, chemistry won’t work… but who knows maybe norton will get a new friend~ who knows?
however i’m sorry that brad walked out….

i think brad pitt through it all away when he had a relationship with angelia jolie . The relationship went long to fast . He should slow it down a littlle to see what he should been getting himself into and find it would be the best for him or the person he get involuie with it to late know he have seven kids know I hope he have alot off good luck in his life time to carry him by but life will chane one day for him i will bite on it life will not stay the way he and angelina went it to be like that all I’m going to say on this thing about my near est friend brad pitt I hope someday I would meet them both in person I think both of them are very fine people I could tell you more but I have to go know
