Russell Crowe to Replace Brad Pitt
Universal Pictures is trying to replace Brad Pitt in State of Play with American Gangster star Russell Crowe, according to Variety.
Just this past Wednesday, it was announced that Brad dropped out of the film because of disagreements about the shooting script.
We’ll find out early this week if Russell will take on the political thriller and/or if Universal will follow-through with a lawsuit against Brad for bailing.
Nov. 29 is the last possible date Universal has before they start to lose the other actors in the film (Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn).

Because he doesn’t give a sh*t about Box Office or blockbuster movie. He is a real artist. He only makes movies he is interested in and thinks it is worthy to make. not like those fcuking actors, as long as make money, they will do it even it is piece of sh*t.

Brad has said for years he didn’t ever want to fall into the traditional leading man trap. He said once they have you in that box you can’t ever get out. He was offered the Bourne franchise, and passed on it. He is happy for Matt and his success at that, but he didn’t want to do it. I am sure there are more examples just like that.
He has always gone the quirky route, and I admire him for it.

Crazy eh? I’m all for a good discussion and/or a good debate, but from a quick scan it seems like people like ‘kja’ are turning this thread into an unnecessary fighting match. A decision hasn’t even been made and we don’t even know the real status of the negotiations between Crowe and Universal.

Sorry, but just the concept of one man saving the world just conjures images of a lot of scenery-chewing a la Charleton Heston, Michael Douglas, etc. Brad’s better when he’s low-key.

Give me a fookin break. GMD is a famewhore of the worst kind. Who can forget the video of shorty leaving one of his older kid’s games. With a smug gayish look on his face he bellowed to the waiting paparazzi “How’d you know where to find me?” A paparazzi guy shouted back “Your publicist told us.” Classic. He pimps the adopted kids out when he needs to then poof they both mysteriously disapear for months. Are they with the GMD as he travels the Globe? Nope How about with their moms Nicole while she gets botox injections? Nope Then where are they? Shackled in a freaking basement that’s where. No longer needed.

They are selling pics of all their children’s in the name of charities. They can contribute money to charity without selling pics of their children from the money they get from movie and commercials but they dont’!!!
And we only see their bio child whenever they have a movie coming out what does that say about them. God I don’t even like Tom Cruise but at least he didn’t sell a pic of his baby.

The only pictures they sold were the first ones of Shiloh, and they did that to take some of the pressure off of them at a time when they just wanted to enjoy their newborn like any parent would. Brad said Shiloh had a bounty on her head, and he didn’t like it. I mean, really, papas were digging holes and literally trying to tunnel into the resort in Namibia to take picutres. It was ridculous. New Daddy Brad wanted to control who made money off of that first image. What’s so wrong with that? All the money went to charity, whereas other celebs pocket money paid to them.
The other pictures of the children you have seen are pap photos for which they were not paid. The only exception I can think of may have been the two spreads in People mag (family in Cambodia, Pax’s adoption) which I doubt they were paid for.
I know you probably don’t follow the J-Ps like many of us do, so I am not faulting you for not knowing this, but they do NOT routinely sell pictures of the kids. Those photos are taken by paps whenever this family leaves the house. They have to go outside sometime, so pictures will be taken and sold to tabloids.
FANS SHOULD GO AND SUPPORT BRAD AND ANGIE AT THE BOX OFFICE. ANYONE WONDER WHY THE MEDIA ALWAYS TRY TO CAUSE DISTRACTION WHEN THEIR MOVIES ARE OUT? ENOUGH OF THE CONTROVERSY.

You ain’t woofin’. And that $2 mil wedding dress was obscene. Imagine how many poor people could she have fed with that $2 million?
I don’t consider this a TC bashing, but if Tom’s ‘performance’ during the whole Brooke Shields post-partum controversy is any indication, he is not well-suited to sell anything.
No one can replaced Brad in this film, I hope Universal can change their plan and wait for the better script and take Brad back.
Russel Crowe was a good actor but not quite fitted to this role, beside with good actors but bad script, the film would fail! example are the recent flops like Lion for Lamb , Rendition, Elizabeth. all A-list, Oscar awrardee, great expectation but great dissapointment because of bad script.

Tom’s older children are being schooled in the ways of Scientology, which means they are cloistered away in a boarding school tied to e-meters until they are “clear” and will not be seen for a while. I did some serious research into Scientolgy, and it is scary. Lots of interrogation and brainwashing.
I feel sorry for those children, and Nicole had no choice in the matter.

People magazine paid Angelina and Brad for exclusive rights to Pax’s adoption. Angelina and Brad put all the money into the Jolie-Pitt foundation which funds their humanitarian activities.
In Touch, Life & Style and US went apeshit after People scooped them out for the photos for the second time (People scooped them out on Shiloh’s birth photos also) and their attacks on the J-Ps ramped up exponentially from that date.
I can’t stand Russell Crowe, but if it solves the studio’s problems therefore Brad’s at the same time, then yeeaah for Russell! Lol

Thanks I didn’t know that. I was sure they do not routinely sell the kids’ pictures.
I know other celebs do sell their children’s picture to tabloids and pocket the money. Sheryl Crow did this when she adopted her baby. She allowed her and her baby to be put on the cover of one of those tabs, OK or one of them, and she even gave them an interview! Yuk! Angie and Brad would never do that, for sure.
It’s been two weeks since an official Tom Cruise sighting. Curious because just over a year ago, he and Katie married before the international media. Bet your boob job we’ll know every detail of their anniversary celebration by week’s end.
