I totally agree. Geez Z and V can’t catch a break! There was already an article posted somewhere on here earlier how the press interviews were limited because publicists wanted to limit overexposure. And I agree, that if they had done more interviews, the press would have totally ignored the rest of the cast.
Oh well, I don’t like fox news anyway. We get it on cable over here and the stories are always so sensationalised. Plus after watching the documentry about their coverage on the war in Iraq compared to other news networks, it’s obvious they’re like a tabloid for television!

I know I’m going to surprise and maybe disappoint everybody with what I’m about to say here: but I’m kind of with Fox News here. I don’t like the snarky comments but if Zac, Vanessa and Ashley were supposed to be there, then they should have been there. No ifs ands or buts. It’s a matter of professionalism. It makes all three of them look bad to just skip out like that if indeed that’s what happened is very bad form.
I don’t want to come down too hard on our Terrific Trio here, maybe there was a plausible explantation that whoever wrote the article doesn’t know about. I’m totally willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here. I’m a ZA to the very end and will defend them (especially our Vanessa) from unwarrented and vicious attacks. But if I think they’ve screwed up I’m going to say so and I’m sorry to say it but it looks like they MAY have screwed up in this case. When your young like they are you can be thoughtless and they are not immune to that. IF that’s what happened here well I still love ‘em but I just hope they’re smarter in the future and don’t make a habit of it.
Journalism must be such a fun and lucrative career!! You can get creative and make up stories or exagerate the truth to make it more appealing to readers. The more exciting and scandalous the article, the more money! How cool is that?!?!? I’m being facetious just in case some are wondering. LOL
I’m actually surprised that Fox News can write an article like that, poking fun at the HSM clan. I can understand writing about your Brits, Paris’ and other stars, but the HSM Cast? What’s so scandalous about OH MY GOD??!? shopping, or coming out of a restaurant or going in and out of a gym? Oh the shame of Zac coming out of a building holding a what?!?! OMG, it’s a basketbal?!?!? I’m so shocked?!?! LOL
It’s crazy that they would write such a lame article like that. This journalist must be hard up for a story because writing about a young star who has a porsche or a star that takes hours for a big event is expected and mundane.
I believe that there are good and sincere journalists out there (Charlie :) ) and I know it’s a job. But I wish that they would at least write the truth or not stretch it, especially with such hard working young actors who are respectable in everyway.
And ghj, please know that I am not poking fun of you as well. Even though my feelings are against it, thanks for posting the article.

Troy, I see your point. But when I heard the story the next day about their skipping some of the press stuff, it sounded as if they had been told to do that. Not sure if it was Disney or Z and V’s handlers. I doubt that it was a decision that either of them made on their own.

Wasn’t there a different article that said Kenny had excused them from most of the interviews because they have been so hounded by the paparazzi over the last few months?
Now in this one Kenny says they should have been there. So which was it? Did he excuse them, or did he say they were supposed to be there?
Or maybe Kenny said it jokingly and like every news site they blew it out of context?
I think they I read that Narf, was it the one where he said he was worried for them a little bit because they are getting too much press?

As flattered as I am to be included in this beautiful family—even for a short time—I am not the Karen of whom you speak. LOL I would love nothing better than to help Zac’s mom sort through his fan mail. He’s a fine young man and I only hope he can stay true to himself. I hope he always follow his heart and never lets the likes of Hollywood tell him how he should be. He is loved by us because of who is and what he is, not for what Hollywood would like to make of him. I would love to meet Starla and David, they have done a magnificent job. They should be very proud and I include Dylan in what they should be proud of also.
AND as long as I am on this board there will be one person(and I know for a fact there are several others) that will be covering that beautiful young man’s back—he may have to have someone covering him if his pants get much lower…LOL
Its possible that Vanessa and Zac could have been officially excused from participating and Kenny Ortega may not have been aware of it right at that moment because it could have been a split-second decision from higher-ups. I would hate to think they just wouldn’t show up. They’ve always come across as grateful for what Disney and this francise has done for them. It’s just that on the FACE of it didn’t look good and in Fox News defense all they can report is Zac, Vanessa and Ashley aren’t there if they aren’t there.
*wipes forehead in relief* I thought I was going to have to do some hardcore defending myself. I hope it didn’t like I was coming down on them too hard. *Narf babe, I know can count on you to be honest, there wasn’t any talk of kicking me out of the club was there? :(*

Oh, Uncle Joe! I’m going to give you a big hug. You have made my day. I’m going to feel like an adopted member of the family now. I have teased around on this board about Zac being my son because I feel rather protective of him so now I have an excuse for being protective and defensive as I’m sure his parents and other family members are also protective of him and would go to his defense at all cost. There is nothing like strong family ties!

I had also read that they wanted to cut back on their exposure. I don’t know if that was the stars’ request or the Disney reps. I’ll bet it was just some miscommunication with all of them. But, that being said, I thought it was a nice thing for the other stars to have the limelight and answer questions. They are certainly a big part of the magic of these movies!! And I’ll bet Zac, Vanessa, and Ashley didn’t mind not being hounded for a little while…
Oh, Karen, how exciting!!! Another job for you!! But I can’t think of anyone better! Just remember, us Angels would be happy to help you!!
